Today we made a horrible decision. Thinking the Fishers location of Wild Eggs would be any better than the Carmel location was a mistake. Greeted by the horrible pastel color scheme and builder grade finishes, my friend and I waited roughly 30 minutes among table after table of vacancy. We settled for a spot at the comically small "bar". Where we indulged in the weakest coffee this side of the Mississippi. The lackluster staff is clearly not motivated to serve, but I blame that mostly on an obvious lack of leadership. I'd love to say the food (once it was delivered) was par for the course, however, it wasn't THAT bad. I'd say in general, if you think this place will be open by summer, I'd be happy to wager two weeks pay. read more

Definitely a fan! My family loves breakfast food, so we were happy that Wild Eggs opened up near our home. I had only seen one downtown and in Carmel. We went on a weekend, so there was a line, but only had a 10 minute wait. I really liked the interior - it has an old dineresque feel to it. The men is pretty big, and I really wanted to try everything. My husband got his usual breakfast burrito and I kept stealing bites - highly recommend. I tried the Mr. Potato Head Casserole - hashbrowns with onions, cheese topped with sausage, tomatoes, peppers and mushrooms. Needless to say I did clean my plate. The short review: good food, bad coffee, sub-par staff. The long review: my mom and I came here for a weekday brunch. We waited several minutes before our server greeted us, although we were happy to be seated quickly. She did apologize for the delay, and promptly took our order. The coffee was really, really bad. Even with cream and sugar, it wasn't drinkable, and our server apparently never noticed. It was watery and burnt. The food, however, was good! I got the farmer's market scramble, which had a ton of veggies and deliciousness. I opted for the sourdough bread instead of a muffin. My mom ordered the breakfast burrito (without meat), and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a large portion size, and came with skillet potatoes and black beans. She would order it again, and felt like it had the perfect balance of heat. We waited to pay for so long that we thought maybe we should pay up front. When we went up to pay, we were told that our server does that. Only then did she take care of our bill. She seemed a little aloof the entire time we were there, even though it wasn't overly busy. Chillaquilles review follows: I have a "go to" dish, by which I measure restaurants that I am visiting for the first time. For breakfast, one would think its pancakes and eggs, but that's too easy for me, so Chilaquilles are my breakfast barometer. Chillaquilles are essentially Mexican breakfast leftovers, using up last night's tortilla corn chips and topping it with eggs cheese, peppers and chorizo. It's like having nachos bel grande for breakfast First off, Wild Eggs did not use tortilla chips for the construction. They deep fried two whole flour(?) tortillas and set the eggs,cheese and chorizo on top. This just sent my brain on tilt. This preparation was more like a breakfast skillet. Wild Eggs is one of the better basic breakfast spots. You'll find your typical pancakes, french toast, omelettes, etc. but a lot of their dishes have a slight Mexican flare to it. I got the Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict which was green chili cheddar corn cakes,topped with chorizo, two poached eggs and queso fundido, pico de gallo, sour cream, green onions and avocado with a side of skillet potatoes. I had them leave off the chorizo because I'm not a big pork eater. It was very delicious and a great twist on a classic eggs benedict. There was a lot of flavor that I really enjoyed. I wouldn't consider Wild Eggs my favorite breakfast spot, but its a solid restaurant for breakfast. I'll definitely be back again. read more

My husband and I tried Wild Eggs recently. We arrived on a Monday (but it was a holiday) at about 10am and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Our server was very attentive and we orders right away. I had the Mr Potato Head Casserole and it was delicious! I would highly recommend it. My husband ordered the country fried steak. When he cut into it, it was just breading, no meat. The waitress apologized and took it back to the kitchen. On the second order, there was meat but it was about as thick as a slice of deli meat and there was tons of breading! Apparently, they ran out of what they usually use and tried an alternative. They ended up not charging us for it, which was very nice. The reason I am giving a 4/5 is that I wish they just said they were out, warned my husband before he ordered, or asked if he wanted something else when it happened. read more

We ordered a picture/liter of mimosa & it was a nice addition to an incredible meal. We were seated after about 25 minutes on a busy Sunday morning. The staff were extremely accommodating & patient while contemplating our food choices & they gave the children menus that could be colored to keep them busy. The food although simple was prepared perfectly & flavors were delicious. I was told the pancake portions were huge but I had no idea. They could easily feed two or three people & I loved the fact the "bananas foster" was served in a separate cup so you could add it accordingly. I also didn't realize it came with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream which was the "icing on the cake if you will". I also ordered the "creole omelette" & all the ingredients had a good balance. I came here for breakfast with my mother and it was packed full. The environment was very causal and a good place to be at 9 in the morning but the music was a bit loud. The wait was about 25 minutes but after around 20 minutes a friendly waitress sat us down and supplied us with some ice cold water. We had time to decide what to order while we were waiting and almost once we were seated the waitress kindly took our order. Our food came out within 10 minutes which was amazing and we were supplied with various condiments to compliment our breakfast. I got the chicken and waffles which was a bit on the spicy side and my mother got the Surfer Girl Omlette with grits which was extremely fresh and hot. Overall, they gave us generous portions but the quality was nothing out of the ordinary. The service was excellent, the only con being the long wait. May return in the future :) read more

Okay we've tried this place at least three or four times so I feel as though I have a fairly good grasp on Wild Eggs. We usually come on the weekend so I know sometimes days and times of visits make a difference in level of service. 1st- expect to WAIT. Not just for a table, but for your drinks, coffee, etc. I'm not usually too bothered by this, but I always feel the hostess gives inaccurate wait times either way longer or way shorter than quoted. Also- the food is sooooo slow to get to the table I'm talking about 20-30 minutes for eggs! I have small kids so they panic when hungry! This is also our first meal of the day when we go there so I'm more than ready to eat immediately upon entering the building- so there's that. 2nd- way too expensive for breakfast food. Paid over $70 for 3 adults and two small kids meals. I think I don't perceive the value to match that price. While I do appreciate the hipster meets Mexican flair breakfast menu items (i.e chilaquiles), again, not for that taste/price. 3rd- I love that I can get espresso and I like that they serve breakfast cocktails. I haven't got a cocktail, but I did love the espresso bar. 4th- received both mediocre (at best) and epic levels of service here. Not a lot of consistency. Overall, while I do appreciate their approach food wise- to brunch- I can't see this being a regular breakfast spot due to high cost and lack of consistency. A few weeks ago, I had brunch here with some co-workers. The restaurant was about half full at 11:00 on a Monday morning. There isn't much to the interior of the restaurant. It was simply painted and decorated which is really all you need for a breakfast joint. Our waitress was great. Friendly and funny, which is something everyone needs on a Monday morning! I ordered a glass of the fresh squeezed orange juice which was sweet and delicious. I also ordered a breakfast quesadilla which I can't seem to find on their online menu. I think it had sausage, cheese, peppers and onions on it. It may have had more but I can't remember now! It was served with a side of salsa, guac and sour cream. And this thing was huge! Want to start by saying the food was GREAT! My husband and I struggled with the rating of 4 or 5, so really we give it a 4.5. My husband got the breakfast burrito which was very fresh and yummy. Great portion size. I got the half and half- half the spin on eggs Benedict, I forgot the name already and half the chicken breakfast nachos. They did mess up my eggs in both orders by not having the runny yolks but they gladly fixed it, and our server was very friendly and kind. The manager came out when he heard about my eggs and gave us two free cinnamon rolls which we took one home. Haven't had it yet but it's HUGE and looks great. The whole staff was great, especially manager/owner. Had a small issue with our change when we paid cash (got wrong amount) but was easily fixed. For only being open for 2 weeks I think our issues were just learning pains and I think this will be a great breakfast joint once they continue to learn. The breakfast food does have a Mexican flare/theme so be mindful of that, but we loved it! read more

Today I ordered a make your own omelet with bacon, pepper jack cheese tomato and avocado. It was just OK. It didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped. The grits of the day were sausage and cheddar - not too exciting but still good. I had amazing grits of the day but it sounds like they change them up hence grits of the day. Anyway still worth a shot. The service was super friendly and the food was good. I may not order an omelette again but there are so many other tasty choices to try. read more

My omelette was not what I had ordered. The omelette looked hastily made and plated. Never saw our server again so I just ate the wrong omelette. Tables around us were still dirty throughout our meal. Our server clearly wanted to cash out and go home. All the servers were talking about cashing out. Service was not personable. Had the Hoosier Benedict very large tenderloin with cheese tried off of server recommendation not good at all. Created a build yourself egg white scramble as well which was absolutely amazing. I am not a fan of the seating or the servers. They bump into you make no apologies which makes it hard to be an enjoyable restaurant. Mimosas are good as well but all in all the staff just made it hard to enjoy. Came back again and the food was even worse with horrible service. So bad the waiter should've paid for my food.
