But don't worry they'll charge you hand raised and tame prices! They sold us a disabled bird I don't think they knew was struggling because they said she was just timid. She couldn't properly use her feet. She was terrified. It took months of cage and perch changes and constant handling and exercises to get her to almost normalcy. She's an African ringneck. She needs lots of space but her tail was a nub because she was kept in a tiny cage there and when we got her home she needed perches everywhere to handle moving in a small cage. She's in a proper cage now with tons of room and has a glorious tail. She would have fallen and hurt herself constantly if we'd put her in it before. She's still very clumsy but hey...we all have drawbacks. But the fact is they either didn't know she was disabled or looked over it to charge us full price AND not tell and show us she needed extra help. I've done rescue. I've been in tons of exotic pet stores. None of them would do this. They have an amazing toy selection and there aren't a lot of pet stores in this area but don't expect a properly hand raised parrot here. Expect hand raised prices though. Because where are you going to go? Find a private breeder. There are plenty on pet adoption sites. You could do worse than this but not by much.

I defy you to leave without purchasing something from what I'd describe as a "bird and nature-lovers" gift shop. In addition to the basics, numerous garden items such as stoneware, birdbaths, bird houses, thermometers and chimes, plus books, novelties, jewelry, cards, note paper, binoculars, candies, and decorative indoor/outdoor bird and nature-related pieces. So many different things---even a few for cats and dogs, too, but 99% birds. Purchased a clever little feeder that's designed to be filled with a prepackaged creamy mix of rendered beef suet and peanuts. (Passed on the one containing freeze-dried mealworms and fruit, but will get that one next time.) Per several customer reviews on their site these "Bark Butters" are favorite bird attracters. Although located on a nondescript stretch of strip mall across from Ollies---just north of Great Northern mall---the interior and what they offer, is what I'd expect to find inside a large, enclosed mall. Understandably---because of their mostly easily-affordable inventory---I'd be surprised to ever find them inside one. Way too expensive for what they offer. This shop truly is one of those proverbial "little gems". Two very friendly, knowledgeable employees---who were eager to answer questions and engage in nature-related conversation, but while always keeping a comfortable-easy-to-just-browse distance---made the experience even more enjoyable. Sign up for their fliers. They sometimes have coupons for as much as 15% off purchases. Didn't have mine with me, but would have been about 3.50 savings. And in this economy, that's not birdfeed, either---that's a gallon of gas on a good gas price day.

Decided to try this location for their grooming services as other groomers have had trouble cutting…read moremy Yorkie Poms nails. I wish I knew the groomers name, but she did AWESOME! She didn't make a big deal about cutting my dog's nails and mentioned that she just had another colleague hold her while she cut them. She also did an awesome job on the cut. This was a new style for my baby, but I really like it. She seemed to be really good with my dog. She was done in about 2 hours and gave me a promo code for the luxury shampoo and conditioner add on so it was free. The store itself is nice. It feels a little smaller than other Per Supplies Plus, but maybe that's just the layout. But it seemed clean and well organized. They have three self serve wash stations which looked really clean and were labeled as disinfected. My pup made a boo boo on the floor as we were departing and the workers were really kind about picking it up. I'll definitely be back. This was probably the best grooming experience I've had in a while with my baby and the prices are great!
