I've gotten food from other stores, and it doesn't attract the birds like the food from WBU. In fact, I've had birds downright snub my feeders when I use an off-brand. I got some good advice here, too. I asked what I could use as feed to keep the cowbirds, grackles, and starlings away. The advice I got was dead on. I started using the feed they suggested and bye-bye badbirds. Buy your feed from this store, and you'll never buy it from anywhere else.

The store itself does offer a wide variety of products for all types of pets, so it's a good place to shop for supplies. They tell me what I already know, pugs are notorious for being difficult with their nails. Yes, I know, hence why I'm here looking for a professional service to help me do it. However they are incompetent here. Most recently I brought her here this past Saturday. I booked an appointment days ahead of time. The place was super busy, which I don't understand why they would allow so many walk ins on top of booked appointments if it's going to overload them, doesn't make sense in a business case but ok. I waited an hour and a half. About half way through that time I come in to ask if my dog was okay, she is a pug so it's normally an express service and has never taken that long so I was starting to get worried about her. The girl I spoke to just kind of looked at me and didn't give me any reassurance, didn't go back to check on her or anything. So I went back out and waited some more. Finally they say she is ready. The groomer comes out and says do you want to go ahead and pay while I get her ready, so I do. The line is super long, only two registers up and running. Finally I pay and come back in, and THEN they tell me that they weren't able to cut all of her nails, only one paw out of 4 and her back paw at that. Oh great! So you told me to go pay knowing full well the service wasn't fully accomplished? Then they tell me I can come back on a less busy day, there's a lot of dogs there maybe my dog is just too anxious, they won't charge me if I just come back. I left mad because it was a huge waste of time but fine. I'll give them one more shot. I call today, Monday, to make sure they're not busy before I come in. I'm taking time away from work to do this each time by the way. I come in and they still cannot cut all of her nails. I gave her a calming chew. I asked if they used the cone on her so she wouldn't nip. The girl was uniformed about which breeds they were able to use the cone on so she said no and that she'd try again. I wait some more. Come back, and she tells me now for the third time that they cannot cut her nails and I should try a vet. I spoke to a manager as I'm very frustrated at this point, and she was less than helpful and also pretty rude when I was so visibly upset. She told me that there was nothing she could do if the staff "didn't feel comfortable" cutting my dog's nails. I don't know, train them better? That's their job? She was ready to send me on my way until I ASKED for a refund, which they did give me. I. Will. Not. Be. Returning. Ever. I never had this issue with the Beavercreek Petsmart when I lived closer to that location and took my dog there for 3 years.

Andrew M. has been amazing whenever I took my pup there. The first time we went he didn't try to oversell me and cleaned up my dog perfectly - even giving me a coupon for the service. He has always listened to my needs and created a relaxing environment for my dog. Most recently, Andrew called to let me know that Rex's ears looked a little inflamed and advised that I take him to the vet to get them checked out. Sure enough he had a bad ear infection in both ears! If I didn't have a grooming appointment I would have had no idea. I'm so happy with the service I am getting from Petco and will continue to take my pup there for haircuts. If you're looking for a specific groomer, Andrew is great!

We came home and put in an application through the Humane Society. We were told that Meowza wanted us to come in and see them again before we could take them home. We waited in Dayton Mall for an hour before opening the next day as not to miss them. We went in and asked about the cats and were told they were placed on hold. The shop manager had called before opening to place them on hold for "friends" of hers outside of store hours. We were told we were not allowed to see them or take one home. This was very frustrating as we had gone through the proper procedures and preparations to bring our new kitten home with the understanding we would be bringing it home after formalities. We were later told we could choose another cat for free but that isn't what this is about. We did not deserve the treatment we received there and we don't want another cat. We wanted the one we felt a connection to. While I fully support the Dayton Humane Society I will never enter this store again and will certainly share our story with others. I would not suggest adopting from here-unless you are a personal friend of Sally.
