Splash Your Pup - Dog jumping off ramp into pool

When you go the…read morefirst time it is easy to miss the road it's on as it looks more like a lane near the intersection. When we got to the facility the door was locked, I assume they keep it that way for their safety, but Julie immediately came out and let us in. The facility is clean and divided into a waiting area with a gated washing station and the pool area. I appreciated that they make sure dogs are up to date on their vaccines and ask for info on how to make the dog feel comfortable. Only one dog uses the pool at a time (maybe different for dogs in the same family) and Julie explained the whole process to us before we went in. Make sure your dog goes potty before you take them swimming. When it was our turn to go into the pool, we put a life jacket on my pup, since he had never been before, and let him up the ramp. He was very hesitant, but Julie had a lot of tricks up her sleeve to get him to make the decision to walk down the ramp himself. I like that they did not force the dog to do anything he wasn't comfortable with, and didn't rush the process. They are very knowledgeable about dog behavior, and she was able to foresee and explain what all of his reactions meant. We had a great orientation, and I hope to go back soon to see if my dog will enjoy swimming more the next time since he knows what to expect now. I highly recommend this place!

They are open until 6 but no one answered. I was concerned about my pup because she is a pup and has not been kenneled much. I asked them to call back since I knew they were open. They didn't. They texted the next day, saying all is fine. We just picked our pup up, Monday morning. They charged us for Tuesday. I guess I get that. The thing I don't get is that they brought her out and then said, "she didn't have any toys or anything did she?" We has taken 2 blankets, 2 bones and 1 toy. She went back and brought it all out then but I don't believe they had given it to her. It was still in the bag we brought it in. Blankets were still folded. It would have comforted her. When I gave all of these things to her at home she was so excited to see them again. I feel badly about her experience there.

I had taken training classes here with our dog and thought that we could trust them, as the classes were great. After returning home, we went to pick up our dog. First sign of something wrong should have been when the woman working there put on huge earphones just to walk in the kennel area. If it is that loud in there, imagine what it is doing to your dog. When our dog came out, he was very disoriented and and had dried feces all over his rear end. After taking him home and cleaning him up, he had raw open sores from where we removed the poop off of him. Prior to going into the kennel, he was very friendly, energetic, fun loving, basically one of the sweetest dogs you would ever meet. After returning home, he was extremely food aggressive and anytime that we would approach his crate when he was in it, he became aggressive...just not the same dog that we used to have. The only thing that I can guess is that he was put in a crate, inside of one of the kennel runs. He had to compete for food and learned to be aggressive. We have spent a lot of money trying to correct the behavior. If you love your dog, don't board him/her here. I wish I could have them shut down.

Micheal has hands down changed the way we live with our beloved dog, Ace…read more We rescued him from a back yard breeder situation, he was abused , attacked by many dogs and was an incredibly nervous/fearful dog with absolutely no manners. He use to pull us on his walks, run away once the front door opened and absolutely NO CONCEPT of recall. After completing Michaels board & train program - ace came back to us as a completely different dog. He walks in a perfect heel, he walks with his head held high & happy tail wag posture, he no longer darts out out the house and looks to us for a command. Not only has Micheal given Ace the confidence he needs to live his life as a happy dog, but he gave us the tools we needed to live in harmony with our dog. I'm no longer dreading to take Ace out for walks, it's actually one of my favorite things to do. There are no such thing as "bad dogs" Just need the right trainer and with the dedication to make your dreams come true. We seriously appreciate Micheal and his expertise so much. (P.s) Ace loves Micheal, a dog who was once super fearful of men. That's all you need to know!

I've bounced around to many dog trainers in my life and there was always a cop out excuse that was commonly used: "Your dog is bred poorly" "Some dogs are just aggressive" "Your dog just doesn't have it in him" Which left me feeling defeated, frustrated and ultimately my dog wasn't getting the help he needed to live his best life.. But Michael was the only trainer that was able to get a handle on my GSD right off the bat. My dog no longer runs away, comes back when I call him and walks by my side with ease. Micheal has taught me so much about how to understand dog body language, how to time the corrections and help guide my dog to greatness. I'm a personal trainer and I'm now able to take my pup to my clients house, where he has multiple distractions around him (kids running, weight lifting bars slamming in the floor, basketballs being tossed around) Yet- he just sits in his down position and just observes his surrounds in peace. I couldn't recommend this man enough. It's life changing knowledge he shares with all his clients.

A number of professionals worked with us to find relief for our dog. They contacted our previous vet for us to get records and even patiently waited when "put on hold" to get further details about previous treatments. All questions were kindly answered, our input was welcomed, and we were included in all of the treatment (drawing blood, administering fluids...). Just a couple of hours after the appointment, we were emailed a detailed (4 pages) document, recording all that transpired during the visit. To top it all off, everything was affordable and everyone was so very pleasant!

She took her in to see Dr. Callejo in the Springboro Office. I had taken my dog there in the past. She wanted $720 to do 5 ex-rays and NO blood work. After agreeing to blood work, she said what she was doing would not show signs of cancer at rate of $420. She said her annual office visit is $420 with blood work. The tech suggested on doing 2 ex-rays so it would be less expensive. Dr. Callejo refused saying she wanted 5 ex-rays. It then became quite obvious that Dr. Callejo was strictly out for money. When I was going there, the vet cared about the animal and was much more compassionate and willing to work with you. When your pet is sick you want someone that cares about the animal not just the money. She could have done 1 or 2 ex-rays not 5 and then determined what else was needed. I will never recommend them again. What a sad experience.
