They sold me special medicine for him to prevent Parvo . Not only is he 12 pounds now. He didn't need that " medicine ". When I made a comment on their page I noticed other comments that people have also received non teacups. This is an in going issue. And instead of professionally reaching out. They removed all the posts and blocked me from all socials. They dont want people seeing the honest truth. They are not trustworthy at all.

But I went through with a visit because he answered every question I had thoroughly and quickly. Upon arriving at Nathan's family home where they breed goldens I felt very good about our decision. When you first pull up, there is a large professional AKC breeder sign. Down the drive way there is an large fenced in, grassy area and huge building devoted to these dogs. We were greeted by several very happy golden retrievers behind the fence. Nathan came out to meet us and was incredibly friendly and helpful. He introduced us to our new pup's parents, both looked very healthy and well-adjusted. Our little guy, Andy, was very sweet and happy-go-lucky. Nathan provided us with all of the official AKC paperwork, along with shot information (Nathan and his son give the animals their shots under the supervision of a veterinarian). He explained to us that, in his 12 years of breeding, he has never had anyone call him back with concerns of genetic, hip, or other major health issues. But encouraged us not to hesitate to contact him if we encountered any issues. He also sent us in our way with a bag of dog food and requested we send him updates with photos! I would absolutely recommend this breeder to a friend. His style of breeding is more "old-school" with fairer prices and no website, which I ultimately appreciated. UPDATE: Andy is now 1 year and 5 months! He is in perfect health, very well trained, and is soooo sweet. He has the funniest personality! It makes so much more sense to hold off on your decision until the pups develop their personalities instead of solely going off looks. Jennifer is super thorough and maintains constant communication throughout the entire adoption process. She was constantly sending us pictures and updates in our group chat of puppy parents. Before we even thought of the question, Jennifer already had given us the answer! Her constant communication was something that truly made the entire experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. That's is the way it's supposed to be - adopting a puppy should be more fun that it is stressful! I'm from California. Jennifer personally delivered my puppy to me. YES, across the country! She flew with her at no extra cost to me (other than flight costs). She left her home at 3am and got back home at midnight. She had 4 layovers and nearly 24 hours of continuous traveling. Now THAT kind of effort is unheard of. She has so much kindness to give and it truly shows through her breeding program. While there are so many amazing components to Doodles & Doxies program, the true dealbreaker is the training they do BEFORE your puppy comes home. My girl came home 100% crate trained and 95% potty trained. I was expecting long, sleepless nights with an unhappy puppy crying in her crate.
