Breakfast platter
Melanie M.

We have stopped here each time we travel. Really a cute place and have had great service. The bartender was so friendly and attentive. I had the breakfast sandwich. It is huge! Egg cheese and bacon on a beautiful big Hawaiian bun. It is fantastic! The potatoes are crunchy and yummy! My husband tried the breakfast platter which he loved. Unexpected great service and food at an airport!

With the understanding it's in an airport, the Wigle experience was a little disappointing. Only 6 items - 2 of which were breakfast selections - on the menu made for a lackluster dining experience. The cheese curds were tasty, and the lemon, Old Bay aioli had a nice flavor. My burger was fine for substance but not the best burger. The Old Fashion was good and a satisfying preflight cocktail. Service was very good. One bartended took care of all guests, and she was wonderful. There are other, albeit limited, options in the Pittsburgh airport. When in doubt head to Primantis.

Worst customer service EVER! 3 employees who tried hard not to make eye contact. Sat at the bar for 7 mins before anyone said anything to me. The male bartender was short and dry and clearly hates his job. Food was as bad as the service. If I could leave a review with zero stars I would.

Sampler!

Great spot to sample local spirits once last time before leaving the 'burgh. While they have a full bar, it's hard to leave without trying a whiskey sampler and at a price that's less than a beer at some airports. There were 4 types of bourbons and rye whiskeys to try from, and I was definitely impressed with a couple of them. There is a limited food menu as well, but I wasn't hungry so I didn't have a chance to try. Definitely would come back again next time going through.

The bartender needs to check her attitude at the door!!! - Pittsburgh airport @Wigle / Whiskey... - Doing my steps while waiting for flight; paused to catch tail end of Ohio st. / Mich st. game. Standing outside bar (check out photos). Was asked to step away from the bar counter to the redline in the photo, as I might stop potential patrons from entering. I looked around (as you can see there airport is empty) and said really? She immediately said, "is that the way you want to be? I'll call security and get you out of here and you'll miss your flight!" As she turned away, she muttered, "I've done this before!" The few patrons that were there looked at me and were shaking their heads. What a mean and nasty person! So if you're in this concourse, I would simply walk on by.

We got to the airport an hour and a half early and decided to stop by for a drink. Wigle Whiskey succeeded our expectations for an "airport drink". The bartender was super friendly and outgoing. He offered us suggestions and provided samples if we wanted to try something. In addition, he was just friendly and talkative with us the whole time we'd were sitting at the bar. Overall fantastic customer service, and we totally enjoyed our experience trying their drinks and talking to the bartender (I forget his name, but he was an IUP alum). Their menu was so expansive, too. Not only were there whiskey drinks but any type of alcohol you wanted (Bloody Maries, too, even though they're not on the menu), as well as a full food menu! Terminal A @ Wigle Whiskey Is definitely the spot to be for pre-flight drinks!

Located deeper in the A gates, Wigle isn't well trafficked. My flight was delayed and I wanted lunch. The food court options didn't appeal to me, so I stopped in. Only one other patron was there and he was drinking, so I confirmed whether they had food. I ordered a mac and cheese. It took a little time to prep and the tomatoes and basil were good supplements. It was well salted, but the cheese wasn't sharp and more creamy, not my favorite. I look for pepper. The menu is limited. Vibe is nice, but not well marked, so a quieter spot.

ABTLT

Where's the avocado on the ABTLT?! I was so excited for the avocado mash part of this sandwich but the amount was so small that I could barely tell it was there. Luckily, the waiter was awesome. The sandwich was tasty. My limoncello on the rocks was delicious. Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to buy bottles of whiskey there but they may get a kiosk soon, according to our waiter.

Looking for a place to get a burger and a beverage while waiting for a flight from PIT to IAD. This place was mobbed with whiskey lovers. Wigle is a local Pittsburgh distillery. At this location, you can try their whisky, bourbon, gin, rye, rum and absinthe products. After some confusion on my part, the bartender (whose voice sounds like Jesse from Breaking Bad!) finally came out to my table which was along the outside of the restaurant along the A gate corridor and mentioned that orders should be taken at the bar. I asked if he wanted me to go to the bar to order and he said no, he was already at my table. But that I was supposed to go to the bar to order. Hence my confusion. There were no signs nor notification on the menu that orders had to be made at the bar (minus two stars for my having to read minds but re-adding a star for Jesse's voice). He took my order for an Aloha from the Mon cocktail. The food prices are listed on the menu. The cocktail prices are not. I think $10 for my cocktail is acceptable. Service was slow. There was only one bartender/server/porter working and he was slammed. We all felt sorry for him. Timeline was longer than expected yet I had 3 hours until my flight departed. I sat at my table for 15 minutes before figuring out I was supposed to order at the bar but by that time the bartender had come out. My cocktail arrived after 15 minutes from ordering it. My burger and fries came out 30 minutes after my drink arrived and I then ordered the burger. I got a soda eventually. Didn't feel rushed but then the place was busy and usually food comes out quicker in an airport location where people have flights to catch. Again, not enough staff. I was starving having missed lunch due to meetings. The Wigle burger was tasty and warm and cooked medium which is fine with me. The cheese was nicely melted, the bacon was crispy and the whisky BBQ sauce added a complimentary flavor. The bun wasn't squishy and held up nicely. The fries were lukewarm but still crunchy. My cocktail was good yet had a ton of ice in it. The woman next to me got a very healthy pour of a glass of chardonnay which is a plus. Most of the rest of the clientele were eating either burgers or appetizers along with their drinks. There are other spirits available other than the Wigle products. Wine is also available by the glass. And Coca-Cola products. They don't sell bottles of their brand name alcohol at this airport location which is a shame. My husband is a whisky and bourbon fan and certainly likes to try others. I would have bought some bottles for holiday gifts. I'd definitely stop back on my next trip to/from or through PIT. Would recommend that the management takes a look at staffing. Also the kitchen either ran out of food or stopped serving food around 6PM. Very odd for a restaurant that serves dinner and alcoholic beverages until 8PM. Stop by anyway. Maybe they were just short-staffed.

Over by gate A10 is this gem of a place! I have not ordered any food from here yet but this is my usual resting place while my flight is delayed back to Newark. My flight is always Delayed so the bartenders at wiggle are starting to get to know me. I tend to order the same drink just because it's so good the butterfly gin and tonic. I am always well taken care of when I go no matter how dead or busy I find that prior to 430 it's dead which I don't mind the least bit! Now they need to start selling their goods so I can take home a bottle of that purple gin with me!

I didn't like the whiskey, that is fine. The music in here was awful, terrible pop music, nonstop. Please re-evaluate.

We love the wigle next to downtown so we figured we would come by and try this one as well…read more Same spirits are available here it seems, but the cocktails are a bit different. They are changed seasonally and for winter they were making slushie versions. I got the frozen hot chocolate and it the spot. They are also attached to an excellent cider producer threadbare, so it s a nice place to shop for some of their products as well. Nice spot to hit after walking around the mall all day.

Ugh... this could have been a better experience if they were a little more tolerant of samples…read more They have so many flavors and I'm trying to support a local business, but I don't want to pay $50-$60 for a bottle of something and have it suck. So if they can't spare more than a few tastes, I guess I can't decide on making a purchase. I tried the Steel City Bourbon which was hot AF, another bourbon the dude poured for me that I didn't ask for, then the Negroni cocktail. I had 3 samples that I just tasted and did not finish so I couldn't grasp why someone interested in purchasing something couldn't try a few more things. If I was there to get "free shots", I would have crushed each of the three 0.125 Oz pours he gave me. When you have like 100 varieties of stuff you're trying to sell, maybe more than 2-3 samples would be nice. Maybe pour less for a taste or something, but it was disappointing. I would have loved to try their Gin, Cinnamon Whiskey, Limoncello, and some others as well. Bummer!
