Wienerschnitzel is super nostalgic for me, it's been around 18yrs since I've had it, so I had to come here. Either this specific location just isn't good or the chain has gone down hill in general. The dog wasn't that warm, the cheese wasn't even close to being melted, and the chili was basically liquid with almost no meat in it whatsoever. I never really swear off a restaurant forever but I might make an exception due to this experience... it was just bad. read more

My family got chili dogs since and I think they liked it, but there is too much chili for me, and I was worried of a spill so I got a burger instead. And that burger looked so bad, like a gas station burger. Whatever the cost of the burger was, it was too much for something so low quality. And the hot dogs I saw looked like more chili than dog, hence why I didn't want to spill I can't say the interior has also changed since I was a kid. I've certainly never had any interest in Wienerschnitzel. But you know those late night cravings you get for junk food sometimes? Last Saturday night around 9:00pm I got one. I recalled seeing a sign for cereal milkshakes here, and it had snuck into my subconscious so suddenly that was the only thing I really wanted. When we arrived there were no other cars around, and it nearly looked deserted. I'm not surprised as I've seriously never heard anything about this chain. When I ordered the Cocoa Krispies shake I asked if they could top it with hot fudge, and was informed that they'd run out. What the heck? A large portion of their menu comprises ice cream related treats, so this was surprising and annoying. When I pulled up to the window the guy making the shake asked if I wanted vanilla or chocolate ice cream (chocolate, obvs). Then he said he'd heard me ask for the hot fudge, and since they were out he could drizzle a little chocolate over the top instead. Excellent. When he gave me my straw he called it a "sipping utensil," which was pretty hilarious. All in all he pretty much made the whole visit, so shout out to that cool, dread-locked fellow. My husband had a bacon guacamole burger and fries. I only tried the fries, and while they tasted okay, they were horribly limp and soggy. They were lukewarm and not fresh fried, but I think if they were fresh they might have actually been decent. Also, the large comes in a big cup, so it's a generous portion for a low price. I don't think I'll return because I pretty rarely eat fast food, but that cereal shake was on point, so I miiiiight be tempted to try one once more. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch version is calling my name. Actually, the Trix one too....okay I'll probably be back. read more

We got in line in Wienerschnitzel drive thru to get 1 corndog for our Grand daughter . There were already 2 cars ahead of us. One car was waiting to order . After sitting 10 minutes they finally took her order. Then they took our order. We waited for our order for 20 min waiting in line behind 2 cars. There were 5 cars behind us. We finally got to the window & asked them why it took 30 minutes for 1 corndog they said we only have 3 people working in the kitchen. We told them this was unacceptable & the cashier said well maybe you should have went somewhere else . We said we would have loved to but we were stuck in your drive thru behind other cars. It's really sad that we had to wait so long for 1 corndog & even worse when they don't care & are rude about the wait. We love to eat here & especially love the corn dogs . Its changed. Used to like going there. Ordered chili dog and strawberry sundae. Chili had little meat-mostly sauce. Sundae had no actual strawberries, basically just sauce. Used to get whipped cream and nuts-not in my case. Totally disappointed. Plus, counter person was not friendly at all. Last trip to this location. Hopefully some other locations in the valley will be better. Shame if the brand is going down hill. Paid over 8 bucks for the dog and sundae. Very disappointed that the hot dog buns are stale. Sadly, beyond stale. I could feel it before even unwrapping my chili dog. I am an old fan of weinerschnitzel and will go back, but whoever is assembling the chili dogs on Wednesday, July 20th might want to bring the horribly stale buns to the managers attention. My frenchie an I went up to pay and the employees there made sure he got a corn dog of his own . Was very sweet of them too not only take care of myself but the pup also. Very much appreciated. So many OSHA violations I could puke, I had to witness the most disgusting event take place. I was the only person in the waiting area (for driver pick up only) I waited for my order and watch all of them touch the food without gloves but what was the worst part was the girl handling the fries l... she kept scratching her REAR end, not over the pants. She Noticed my mouth dropped on the DIRTY floor and then she put on gloves, which didn't help since she went back to scratching that itch down under. Literally just run by people who have never worked in the food service industry. Please don't eat here, you might get a surprise nugget... if you know what I mean. read more

Ordered through Doordash and was pleased with how quickly our order came . Kraut dog had a little too much mustard , but everything else was perfect . I came on a Sunday in the afternoon and went through the drive-thru. I guess I came at the wrong time because I noticed that the people in the car in front of me must of been buddies with one of the co-workers. While waiting in the drive-thru, the employee who was working kept coming out through the side door and yelling at his friend about not being able to get the ice cream machine to work. He kept going coming out and going back in the restaurant, each time when coming out saying something to his buddy. I even heard the employee call his buddy the N-word(These guys were white by the way). Eventually he finally came back out to hook his buddy up with some food and ice cream. My wife and I visited your Utah store. Your employee was slow to take our order, had to repeat it three times and it was still incorrect. Not a problem, your other employees fixed it. We can tolerate that. However the employee's girlfriend was sitting next to us and when we were privately talking about our experience, she became angry and verbally bereted us. I asked if she was the manager or an employee of Wienerschnitzel and she said no, her boyfriend worked there. I told her to mind her own business yet she continued to give me attitude. Perhaps girlfriends need to stay home so the employees can concentrate on their job? There are plenty of places in Salt Lake to spend my money. Why would I EVER go back to a place where an employee's girlfriend would start an argument with me and my wife? I called later and was told there was no manager on duty and to call back some other time. Again, why bother? read more

Handed them a coupon for 10 chili dogs that I cut out from the mail. They took the coupon and than said they don't except this coupon. I said can I have the coupon back and they said no. I had to demand it back. So what they're doing is making you pay full price and than using the coupon to pocket the difference. read more

I'm honestly super irritated with the service I got at this location. I ordered my meal (literally a single combo). I drove up to the window, the girl told me the -correct- total and I handed her my card. She handed it back and slammed the window. I checked my account on my phone (because she didn't hand me a receipt) and the girl had charged me 3x the amount she told me. I waited over 10 minutes for her to even come back to the window. When she came back, she had this MASSIVE bag and I asked if it was my order and repeated it. (#2 combo with cheese fries and a Mountain Dew) she just stared at me, then I told her that she overcharged me. She got her supervisor they returned cash (which doesn't help the fact that because of her mistake, my account is negative and caused my institution to charge me an overdraft fee. They then still made me pay the $10+ and I was in a hurry (I only had 15 minutes on my break at work) so I drove off AND THEY STILL GOT MY ORDER WRONG! My daughter and I went through the drive-through tonight we ordered our food pulled around and sat there for five minutes no one greeted us nothing. There were two or three kids inside flirting and playing with each other's hair. Nobody had gloves on and then he was going to prepare my food after touching his hair and playing with the other girls hair not OK. I used to work for Wienerschnitzel in another state for a couple years. Me and the family got a craving so I had to make a stop here while visiting in Utah. The staff was friendly and both the girl working the front counter and the cook greeted me and my sister when we walked in which is an A+ in my book. They started getting busy and only had two people working but our food still came out at a decent time and everything was hot and nothing was messed up or missing.. When you go to a fast food restaurant, especially at a drive-up, nowadays you expect subpar service at best, with extremely irritated teenagers running the show with absolutely no interest in their job, or providing good customer service whatsoever.... This restaurant is the exception! We pulled up to order, the gentleman that was on the speaker was extremely friendly, he repeated everything we ordered, and repeated it once again when we were finished ordering. When we got to the window it got even better, the two people helping us- the same young man, and a young lady. She took our money and repeated the order AGAIN to confirm that they had it right, they were both extremely friendly, and when the young man handed us our order he confirmed the order one final time, and was very nice as he wished us well before we drove away. I just wanted to leave a review of this location as I can honestly say I haven't had such amazing customer service or accuracy of my order, from a fast food joint or even any type of restaurant in general in so many years I honestly couldn't say. This was on 5/07/2018 around 6pm, and I'm not sure if this will ever be read by the managers but those two employees deserve a huge pat on the back and maybe even a raise. We used to like this restaurant, but after last weekend I don't think we will go there again. The service was awful. And they weren't busy. We waited at least 10 to 15 minutes for our dinner, and then we decided to order dessert. We asked for an ice cream cone and a sundae. The server behind the counter, who was acting like she didn't want to be there anyway, took the order and then totally forgot to fill it. We waited and waited and waited. Finally, my wife went up and asked for our money back. The server, then dinked around for a few minutes and finally my wife asked for a manager. After another 10 minutes, the manager appeared and tried to talk my wife out of getting her money back. I sent an email to the corporate office, but as of today, I have not heard back. This restaurant chain does not care about customer satisfaction and we will not be going there again. read more
