Do not go here unless you want to be treated unfairly based off the color of your skin! my husband took our Jeep to get an oil change at this location (first time here) we have oil changes on our account from Mopar from the last dealership, we took it to to get an oil change and scratched our paint, so we opted out and going back there and decided to go to Barrington this time, big mistake! right away the man told my husband that we had no oil changes on our account, but we 1000% knew we did because they were just given to us in August, my husband called me because he is a black man, but he is a very soft-spoken, timid, black man, and he does NOT like confrontation, but I will stand up for what's right! right away I knew that they were trying to get over on him, they were trying to make him pay, even telling my husband "just go ahead and pay for it out-of-pocket and get reimbursed by Mopar, Their pockets are large" I was on FaceTime, so I heard it verbatim and I was appalled as for Those were his exact words, I am beyond disgusted by the way my husband and toddler were treated, and I know that they treated them this way based off the color of their skin, he then drove our jeep to the Crystal Lake location and right away, they pulled up our account and miraculously saw the oil changes, literally 10 minutes later!! Shame on those two men "working" in the service department here on Saturday, December 7th around 1PM!!! read more

Bought a new 2021 F150 from Wickstrom Ford. Among other issues I had with this vehicle, both tail lights were collecting moisture a little over a year after I purchased it. Wickstrom went ahead and replaced both tail lights for me. At about 14 month's after they installed new lights they also started collecting moisture. At this point I brought the truck in and met with a service technician. His response- " tail lights are made to collect moisture but if there isn't moisture over 50% in the lenses they will not replace" I felt like this was not accurate but I believed them and went on my way. A few months later my taillight turn signal went out. I brought my truck in for a new windshield and asked them to replace my bulb. Well now they call me and tell me I need an $1.100.00 tail light not including new wiring costs due to the water in the tail light. They refused to work with me on this even though I had 2 sets of taillights on a new truck that I bought from them to collect water. So, either there is a defect with Ford taillights or I got 2 consecutive sets of bad lights. Either way, I should not have to purchase a new set of taillights every 14-18 months for $2200 plus rewiring costs. read more

Unfortunately, a bad apple can spoil the bunch. I was working with Nathan on a used car purchase, which didn't end up working out. When I spoke with Nathan about what happened, he became extremely belittling, condescending, and overall very rude, almost mocking me. That's not the way to treat customers, even when a deal falls through. "Exceeding customer expectations" may be the way that Wickstrom does business, but not Nathan. He showed a lack of experience in dealing with challenging situations by the way he treated me and I'll be certain to shop other dealers first, before Wickstrom, in the future. For what it's worth, the sales manager admitted Nathan could have done a better job with communication throughout the process and also apologized for Nathan's unacceptable behavior towards me. read more

I am going to make this a very detailed review if you own a Ford Escape so I highly recommend you read this review. First this is no fault of Wickstrom Ford I want to make that perfectly clear. I had a 2021 Ford escape with the spot weld door break where my front drivers side door. The spot welds completely broke off from inside the door and it took almost a month for Ford to send the replacement door. Once they received the door is where the disaster started. My service advisor was Mark McCarthy and I highly recommend him for any service you need for your Ford vehicle. He is polite, professional and bends over backwards to get you in asap. He kept me updated on a prior repair along with this repair. Now for the disaster..... first it took the body shop they use ( I will not disclose the body shop ask Wickstrom) a week to do the repair. Upon the return of my car the inside was FILTHY with sanding dust, dirt, mud and body shop papers debris. Upon further inspection the door was severely out of alignment and had to go back to the body shop to be re aligned. 2 days later I begin to have issues with the window making a clicking sound going up and down. Back to Wickstrom and again I stress not their fault. They take the car back to the body shop and the body shop says it's a bad window regulator...WTF it was fine before they messed it up. Mark Mcarthy advises me he will need to get authorization from Ford to repair the vehicle and I possibly may need to pay my deductible for my extended warranty.... Wait a minute the body shop messed this up it's on them.....Nope. Mark could only follow procedures and did what he could to get my car fixed so no dong on him. Unfortunately if your Escape needs this recall repair DO NOT take your car to Wickstrom unless you can be certain they use a different body shop they currently use. I left the dealership beyond pissed off. I then left several messages to discuss this with the owner Colin Wickstrom and left multiple voicemails with no return calls. I even called his personal cell phone and still no call back. This really upset me so I had enough and decided to trade the car in for a different brand and will never do business with Ford again along with my family members who are Prior ford owners. I have zero issues with Wickstrom with the exception of the owner calling me back. If he reads this don't bother it's too late. UPDATE: 10/16/2024 Mr Wickstrom did reach out to me and advised me he was on vacation. I did explain my concerns and all is good. Please don't think this is a bad dealership it is not. Go here for service but demand a different body shop for your escape or any other recall. And again ask for Mike Mcarthy Or service manager Mike. 2 great people. read more

We just bought a 2020 Nautilus Reserve from Wickstrom Auto Group! After chatting with Josh Reed (Sales) and Kelsey Roehrich (Finance) we decide to take a chance and drove 3.5 hours to see the SUV. Josh had the SUV ready with the heated seats and steering wheel on and warm when we arrived. The price was better than anything we found in Indiana and included the certified Lincoln warranty (6 years or 100,000 miles). Josh even took my call on his day off and Kelsey answered texts well after store hours. Josh also went out of his way to get the 2nd key from the previous owner and then called us after driving home to see how we liked the Nautilus or if we had any issues.
