Three cheers for the fries and staff at this cool joint! Batter dipped, golden sticks of pure joy. Glorious! Garden burger was flavorful and delicious - not like the matted mush that some burger places will pass off as "garden burger," and the California wrap was decent. I would have preferred fresh avocado on the wrap in lieu of the guacamole that passed as my favorite green vegetable but, hey, when the fries are this good, I'll take the guac and like it. Chicken strips were somewhat uninspiring. The beer selection (on tap) wasn't huge, but wasn't bad. I was pleased to see an offering from Pike's Place Brewery on the menu. I recommend this place for the following: 1. Cool, laid-back ambiance with killer patio (too bad it was cold the day we went). 2. Cool, funny & friendly staff. The crowd in this place is equally as nice. 3. Fries...OMG...did I mention they were glorious, deep-fried sticks of sunshine? Did I?!?! 4. The above, combined with a pint, equals a great time. I love the spud! This is a great place to meet with friends for a day sitting outside and enjoying the Hailey sunshine, or sitting inside and catching a game on tv. The burgers and fries are great, and I especially love BLTs there. Great service and a wonderful group of people are always sure to be found when you step inside the spud. read more

Thought this might be a good place, wrong. From the time we walked in the person that took our order at the counter had no recommendation on any of the food, they have a quarter, 1/3, and half pound burger choice. We ordered the half pound with the intention of splitting it and asked for To be cooked medium, The burger came with 2 1/4 pound patties absolutely mutilated. They give you buzzers and when you go pick up your food I want to know if that is your order sitting on the counter, they look at you like you're stupid. Absolutely no communication skills or salesmanship. I wonder what the 1/3 burger would be like, it must be one Patty and then half of another, we will not ever return. Pleasant enough folks but I had a notion that my wife and infant son were the odd ones out here...mostly locals and certainly not toddlers. Not that anyone was rude, just felt like a place where tourists do not usually go and no one had any particular interest in us. That said, we got served and it was fine, we were quite happy with the food. It's standard bar fare but they had fish options as well as what I have to say was a remarkably good veggie burger based on oats. I've mostly given up beef as anything other than a minor ingredient in pho but I SO miss hamburgers. Well this veggie burger came as close as I've ever experienced to the texture and taste of a good old-fashioned burger. I was very happy. The beer selection was respectable and the staff were nice. We stayed outside where our toddler could run around without being underfoot, the outdoor space is quote expansive and they have some fun games (e.g. giant chess set, bean bag toss) read more

This is truly a locals hang out and ultra casual. Like other reviews say...the patio is the highlight. The French fries are truly delicious. My husband lives every burger and I must say I do too. I tried the wrap one time and was still hungry. Would be better for lunch. Staff was attentive. We were there on a very busy night and still had decent service. I say four stars due to the value and flavor. In this area you'll pay more for a lot less. I say go! If just for the fries...super awesome. read more

Was in town and wanted a quick bite and to watch the MLB playofffs. The 20 something cook was pissed off at something and dropping FBombs while he was making our food in front of us. He and the cashier were arguing about something and she said he was hangray. Probably didn't want to eat his own food as he squeezed my pulled pork meat out of a ziplock baggie and threw it into the microwave. Asked her to turn up the game a little for us and just after she did he walked over and turned up the NFL evening recap on the radio. Kinda funny he was wearing an LA hat as they were the ones playing. What a little shit. Know he overheard us asking her to turn up the volume and then heard him saying to her if they don't like it they can go somewhere else everything else is closed except for McDonalds. Already had paid or would've cancelled the food. Walked out, threw it away and went to Power House up the street for completely the opposite experian even. Jesus between the health code violation food and the more than horrible service, how's this dump still in business?!? read more

Amazing food and customer service, especially at these weird times for restaurant owners.

Tried to go last weekend. Walked in and met a bar full of rowdy, cursing drunks that seemed oblivious to the fact that there were children around. Seemed more akin to the galley of a whaling ship than a restaurant. The bartender seemed equally as oblivious that there were 2 parties (6 people total) standing around in the entryway waiting for direction or service of some type (None of us had ever been there). He continued to sling PBR to the drunks while ignoring us. We all waited about 10 minutes before leaving. Powerhouse was glad to have us...and our money...and our return business. read more

During COVID we stopped in to get take out and were surprised to see a very packed restaurant and the cook and wait staff didn't have masks. There was no way to distance myself from other patrons and the doors were closed. On top of all of that they got our take out order wrong. We won't be back until they do a better job of protecting staff and patrons. read more

Not bad. Not great. Ordered a BLT and most of the bacon was black/burnt. It took us about 5 tries to find a table that wasn't entirely sticky with soda or ketchup. Probably a bad sign that this place was empty on a Friday night. The Chicken tenders my daughter had looked like the microwaveable kind from a bag. All the burger patties had a particular shape like I've seen come from bulk frozen packages. With that said, the burgers tastes okay and the fries were good. read more

The service is weak. I ordered some food and a beer during happy hour and sat at the counter. I waited to see if the guy would ask me if I wanted another beer or how the food was. He never did. Great beer, and the outdoor patio has nice sprinklers to keep you cool in the summer. Had the Phish Wrap which was very tasty and filling.

First time here. Best pastrami I've had in years and the fries are very good. Nice little causal place with good food beers and wines. The chili was also good and my wife liked the blt. The boy seemed to like the burger and it looked good so maybe next time. Overall a good place to grab some food and a drink. Looks like they have a nice deck outside also. read more

Unbelievably poor service!!! Dark haired, older lady was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

The service here was awful. I've never been treated so rudely in any establishment . I was served my beer after several other patrons were served, all of whom arrived after me. The guy had to take my order 3 times and burned it so badly I couldn't eat the meat . The fry sauce tasted as if the mayo had soured, and my bun was soggy with grease . Dis.gust.ing. The guy that served us disappeared after bringing our food and being a complete jerk . I will NOT be back. read more

Had the worst experience I have had in a very long time. My partner ordered the beef taco special which came 15 minutes later, I ordered fish tacos that never arrived. 27 minutes after my partners food came I enquiered about my order and was told it was on the way. After a few more minutes we decided that we just wanted a refund at which point the young man behind the counter gave us a refund for just my partner's order. We insisted that he also refund for my food which I NEVER RECIEVED! He did so reluctantly but of course kept th the money for my drink AND the $3.00 tip we gave in advance. When I mentioned how long I had been waiting and that we should have recieved our food at close to the same time he rudely said I WAS WRONG AND HAD NOT BEEN THERE THAT LONG. I grew up in food service and would never have spoken to a customer who's order I had just screwed up in that maner. Two other groups left after receiving the same poor service as we did. I have been by this place when there was standing room only and thought it must be great. Sadly on a very slow day the service sucked.
