This has become our go to place for Poke in North County. They have generous portions and a very friendly and efficient staff. You get 5 scoops of protein with the large and it is substantial. Everything tastes super fresh and they have a number of great house sauces that cover the spice spectrum. They have Stubborn Soda with cane sugar which is nice. The only negative is that the actual restaurant isn't great for dine in. The couple of tables out front aren't bad but eating inside is a bit claustrophobic. On the plus side they have a great rewards program with free Miso soup, drinks and even Poke bowls. RECOMMENDED! read more

Wicked Poke is kind of hidden in the backside of a plaze, and I kinda wish I would have gone with my old dependable, chipotle, instead. Meh, average poke that hits the spot, but I would expect better out of a beach community. I got the 5 scoops for 10.99 which was a very fair price. Half brown rice, half salads but when I told the guy all sauces that arent mayo based, he didnt seem to comprehend and squirted a little mayo house sauce on it. ugh. The fish itself is pretty good but nothing super special to it. I asked for extra sea weed salad which went on the side and was $2.00. I have never been charged anywhere before for extra seaweed... The last kicker was that their miso soup had nooooo green onions or rofu in it. It was pure broth! So this review is strictly for cross contamination. I live near by this location and it's one of my favorite poke spots, until today, I don't have the stomach to come here again. The guy that fixed my plate used gloves to touch all the tongs and sauces to make my bowl, then instead of switching to clean gloves to mix my food, he uses the same gloves that he touched everything to mix my food. I could not eat my food thinking of how dirty those gloves were. He might as well have used his bare hands. After having that happen right in front of me I question what else is happening. 1st time trying poke, which is weird since I love sushi...but anyways. A friend recommended this place and decided to check it out. I ordered the large bowl which comes with 5 proteins and choose double spicy tuna, double ahi and salmon. You then continue to pick different topping to add to you bowl most are included with some exceptions. I added avocado which was extra....and a bit deceiving because it looked like it was mashed to a guacamole consistency but after trying to blend it into my bowl when eating was rather just a big chunk of avocado. So that was a bit displeasing. Other than that between the sauces, toppings and fish this was quite a delicious place. I used to love this place! It's so sad when you have to write a review due to such a bad experience at a place you have enjoyed coming to for years. I came in today to order my usual. I get messy when I eat these bowls so I asked for a regular size bowl but in a large bowl this is never been an issue prior. The lady said yes but there's a $.50 charge for just the bigger bowl. Not bigger portions. I said no it's OK then, I'll just take extra napkins lol. I asked for all white rice and a small sprinkle of the salad on top. She put the rice in a bowl and then proceeded to tell me it was gonna be another $.50 for the spring salad on top. I said I don't want a lot. I just want a small sprinkle. She rudely replied everything has gone up. All prices have gone up. But it was her tone and body language and the way she said it to me. This place was completely nickel and diming me. I always pay cash when I come here and I always tip as well. What I should've done was had her made the complete bowl and walked out and said never mind with the way that she treated me and made her throw all that food away. But instead I told her never mind, I'll take my money somewhere else. And I really mean it guys I won't be coming here again. I just thought I'd let people know the nickel and diming on patrons that are already happy regular customers for somethings so simple as just a bigger bowl and a few leaves of spinach is not how you run a business. The Subway/Chipotle of poke, but now twice the price! This place is pretty good. It's basically a bowl of rice and you choose some little extras that go on top, like tofu or fish. I know I'm spoiled because I'm from Hawaii, so I will not let that interfere with an honest review of poke in Oceanside. Basically, you just ask the employee to stack meats and vegetables and sauces on rice. It tastes pretty good, and it's pretty fresh. It's a little steep to pay $12 or more for a small bowl of rice with a few fixin's on top. Nothing particularly stands out here - as noted - it's basically a Subway style restaurant where you choose your own adventure. 4 stars for convenience, choice, and freshness. 3 stars for overall satisfaction with a fast-food style meal. read more

I have no clue how this place is rated so high. Each scoop of fish is super tiny. You get literally 3 or 4 pieces of fish with each scoop. I've included a few pictures to show the size of a piece of fish as well. Paid $20 for 7 small pieces of fish, 4 scallops and a drink. If you've ever been to a place like poke 1/2 or any decent poke place you'd know these serving sizes are ridiculous especially for $15 for a bowl. read more

I maybe a self appointed snob on many cuisines but when it comes to fresh seafood of any kind, my local boy from Hawai'i senses are heightened immensely. No - no - no - and never again. Short review but better to bite my tongue. Friendly staff and parking is plentiful. Also, a different self serve soda fountain is a plus. Even though I didn't have soda, oh, fyi, the miso soup is good. Expectation met reality. It has been said, lower your expectations to better deal with reality. Yes, I agree and I do that allot ... I messages the owner before I came in and he gave me some tips on what I could eat and how to order. I brought my own gluten free tamari when I arrived for lunch and few days later. You get to pick all your own toppings so it's easy to customize your meal whether it's your personal taste or a food allergy. I had half rice, half salad, shrimp, salmon, and a bunch of yummy toppings. The spicy mayo was gluten free and had the perfect kick of spice. It was such a treat! This place was clean, the food was fresh and the staff was really helpful. It wasn't so crowded that it was hard to find a place to sit but we did eat early. There were 6 or 7 proteins to pick from and with the large bowl you get to pick 5 of them. Choices were for example salmon, scallops, albacore, etc. you can pick toppings like seaweed salad, fried onions, ginger, etc. Very friendly service, they explain everything step by step, and they let you try the sauces if you want to. Plenty of sauces to choose from. Located inn a shopping mall with plenty of parking, right off the 78 freeway, Near toys r us. My bowl was stuffed to the top and delicious. Wicked Poke is a fairly small poke spot. They have some indoor and outdoor seating areas which were kept clean. The staff was friendly. However, they were a little pushy to try to get us to try/purchase additional items. But, still, very nice. We wanted something small to eat, so we ended up ordering a regular sized bowl for us to share. As a base, we ordered chips. Our bowl came with 3 types of protein, so we got salmon, scallop, and tuna. For the sauce, we had regular spicy mayo and sesame oil. Our toppings were crab meat, avocado, masago, furikake, and tempura. Then it was all topped off with more spicy mayo. The scoops for each of our proteinsand toppings were extremely small. We also ordered a side of seaweed salad which was OK. The food was good. But, for the amount of food that we got, it was pretty expensive. We were a bit disappointed by that. With all the other poke spots around, we don't think we'll be coming back here. But, give them a try if this is the closest place to you and you don't feel like venturing off a little further. read more

This is THE BEST poke place you'll ever go to. After becoming one of their customers, I've tried other places and I'm always disappointed. Wicked Poke has the best sauce and freshest fish. The Wicked medium sauce is the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. When you add the wasabi sauce, it's the perfect bite! They have 2 sizes, regular and large. I'm 6'1" 240lbs and I have trouble finishing a large. My wife and I will usually split one and it's the perfect amount. If I'm on my own, a regular is the perfect size. I always get a miso soup and if you eat there, be sure to try the soda. Thankfully, they don't carry the regular assortment of sodas. My favorite is the vanilla cream soda or the pineapple. This is the only Poke spot I go to and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone try Wicked Poke (in Oceanside!). read more

They also have a great selection of sauces that always tastes good no matter what combination of them I get. I'm also excited that they've started selling spam musubis!! I will say I've unfortunately seen some customers be completely rude and horrible to the staff when they had that policy so hopefully people will stop with all that. Overall, customer service was awesome. Bowl Size - Another great thing about this place is the bowl size! I know it might not make a difference to some people, but I'm not a fan of getting a small bowl, topped to the brim, and no space to mix my food around.
