We were in search of a flashy men's button down for a party and after searching in other stores with no luck decided this would be a good bet! Who knew so many different sexy, colorful, fun, wardrobe and accessories existed in the area. You can really play dress up with Mardi Gras wardrobe, vampire inspired clothing, beautiful corsets, playful rave clothing, etc. We were helped by Kitty and Jen and they were amazing! Service: 10/5! I believe the woman who helped me was named kitty. Sweet blonde woman. :) she was so helpful throughout the whole process. She helped me pick out the perfect outfits and helped me into them as well when I was struggling with the corset top. One of the loops on the dress I liked was busted and she fixed it for me!! This was not only a shopping experience but a learning experience as well. :) Selection: 5/5 I've never seen such a well stocked diverse boutique. I was blown away by the selection of ravewear, renfaire clothes, and lingerie. They even had Halloween costumes on the second floor. You'll definitely find what you're looking for and if you're not looking for anything, I'm sure you could just as easily find something you're not looking for as well. Value: 5/5 it's a bit expensive here, BUT!! You're getting quality stuff. And it's a small business. You want something cheap, go elsewhere. Their selection appears to be an excellent value. I spent over $150 and got a freebie basket! So I'd say excellent value :) haven't gotten a chance to try the dress out yet. read more

Truly a treasure trove of incredible costuming and accessories. We were helped by Jen and Jessica who taught my friend how to wear corsets, lacing, and how to fit them. They were such incredible hype women and made my friend feel so confident in a new style of clothing she was unfamiliar with. This place is amazing!!! I was so impressed with their range of different clothes and accessories, from Renaissance Faire costumes to everything you could think of for a romantic night in. Everyone who worked there was so kind and helpful, and really made me feel welcome. In addition, they went out of their way to make it easy for me to get around with my disability and helped me with carrying items for the fitting room. Jill and Kat were very knowledgeable and knew just were to find everything I could think of. They also have all the accessories like shoes, masks, stockings, etc. There's a section with toys like floggers, and other things. They have things for both guys and gals. This place is the best for any type of carnival or event that requires you to dress up. It has a Vega's vibe to it and it's super big! They're very professional and the options are unlimited. For sure, I give this costume boutique five stars not only for the top notch costumes/accessories/wigs, etc. etc. etc. but the hands-on service that I received in instantaneously upon arriving at the shop i.e. Jennifer was outstanding. This place was incredible. I've never had such amazing encounters with workers. They were all so kind and willing to help us find what we needed. It feels as though full stories are being lived out through their mannequins and the way they have styled them. The window display says so much about how the female owner (red haired and creative, Nicole) runs her shop: dynamic, thoughtful, retro-centric, and committed to the process of artistically offering vintage goods, highly curated, at fair prices. I just love to see their latest window designs, cruise around inside, chat with the friendly staff, and check out everything from studded belts to zipper boots, wigs to leopard print overcoats... just so amazing. To me, this shop sets the pace for the rest of retro row. It's the corner of 4th and Cherry, high traffic, highly visible and fantastic. Buying the goods isn't the point. So, I drove on down. The employee was a heavier set guy. He walked into the store a few minutes after we did and he went to the front counter. So, I walked up to him and was greeted. Told him i was looking for a specific type of jacket, which was a steampunk style jacket. the ones ive seen at Spirit look kind of cool, but never fit. I also told him kind of any long trenchcoat style jacket would work. They did not have what i was looking for and i was told to come back closer to Halloween when they get the Halloween stuff. Ok, I thought this was a year round place, guess not, but no big deal. Well, we did find a long trenchcoat style jacket that worked. There were two prices on the tag, so i asked him about the pricing since i had no clue why there were two. He said thats a rental. He said almost everything in there is rentals. Ok, fine, even Keith's i had no clue about this before coming in, but no problem. Here's the parts where the ONE STAR comes in. I did not know when i came in, but there was another customer in the store behind a partial wall from where i was. So he was fairly close, but I couldn't see him. At one point the amazing employee walked back to that guy and made some snide comment about "steampunk boy over there" to the customer. Sounded to me like they knew each other, at least somewhat. Thats when i saw the customer come around the other side of the wall trying something on. He to made some comment that i dont recall. Well, getting ready to leave, the employee comes back and tries to take me to the hats. He told me i needed a hat. I said no thats fine, I'll be wearing a mask so theres no need for a hat. He seemed to positively acknowledge that, but then he opened his mouth again and was a little nasty telling me if im wanting a steampunk jacket i will need a hat. So basically i reiterated what i had told him but was much more stern and told him im good. So heres the pros and cons of this place. PROs - A ton of costumes. CONs - Nasty employee. Place is WAAAYYYY too small for the amount of crap they have, it's hard to walk in there in some spots. Employee not very helpful and not very knowledgeable. Reason for ONE STAR? Nasty employee. Keeping in mind this was my first time here, with my kid. Would have looked around for a while longer and possibly found something, or something for my kid, but not after the way this guy treated me. Also, if you are mostly rental, but have some items for sale, wouldn't it make sense to have a small section for the items that are for sale? I mean, if that was the case, I easily could have looked in the for sale area (which there isnt one) and seen if i could find something or not. BOOOOO for Gasoline Alley. There are things from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's stuff that is difficult to source and the majority of it is in wearable condition. They also have some modern things made to look retro like sunglasses that are inexpensive so there is something for everyone.

And while I did want to get a ballon, because of its popularity I knew it was a small chance of getting it as it was sold out I like Party City as you can always find numerous choices for party favors. Give them a try, but you have to plan ahead for popular stuff, but last minute it works just fine.

Ordering was easy, their online shop is user friendly. You can set up when to pick up. At your pick up date, you arrive at their store and the person goes to the back and gets your order. Easy peasy! It arrived before her work day ended. I'd say the value is pretty solid, there is a delivery fee of course but I was pleased with the presentation and so was my mom! Communication-- could be a bit better. I didn't receive a confirmation it delivered other than my mom telling us lol! And the only other "con" was that they spelled my brother and his wife's last name incorrectly despite it being correct on the invoice. I'd use them again! I understand Mother's Day weekend is a busy one :)
