Great local company. Honest. Trustworthy. Reliable. Dependable. Reasonable. My house was for sale & the warranty company the buyers wanted to use, was telling us that our CO levels were too high. So high that if they were correct, we'd be dead! However, Wichita Heating was able to come out and was able to give us a second opinion. The readings were normal. We will forever be their customer! read more

We called for Wichita to get a second opinion after the company which installed our furnace eleven years ago told us that we needed to spend $15k to $20k to replace it! Ramon came and examined the unit, said it was at least ten years from replacement, and explained what led to the original service call and the easy way to fix it. Definitely giving Wichita Heating all future business!!! read more

We know his service to be good. It goes back to when my dad did business with his dad on my dads furnace. We had Bill do a service call some years back, and fixed the problem. Then we called a few years later for a furnace check up,and a repair man came out, and fixed the rattle. As I said, we knew he would do good work for us. Thanks again !! Bonnie Mc read more

I heard about this company through my neighborhood app, they were highly recommend on there, and did not disappoint! 3rd generation family-owned. Our AC went out and we initially called another company who did the whole sales pitch and ended up with a quote a few thousand higher than what we ended up paying with Wichita for similar products, so I feel we got a great price through them! They fixed our old a.c. for free to get us through to the appointment. Every single worker we encountered was timely, professional, clean, and respectful of our home. They will be our go to heating/air company, and I'll be happy to recommend them to friends and family read more

After our air conditioner went out last week we came across Wichita as a company with great reviews and provides Carrier service. First, their turnaround time was great. We originally called a different local company we have used in the past and they weren't going to be out for over a week. #pass Wichita made it out in 2 days. The technician was very friendly, knowledgeable and prompt. I only knock one star because when I called to confirm our appointment day of, the woman said to me 'oh, I thought we got to you yesterday.' I was definitely glad I called to confirm everything since it seems they may have been some administrative issues. Anyways, I still think this is a great local option for your heating and cooling needs we would definitely use again. read more

Over Priced Service Call Owner explained after I have used them for over 30 yrs they went to a "book" price. I think they should get a new book.!! (the owner establishes the "book" pricing anyway) Nearly $300 for an evening ( 7:00pm) diagnostic fee, ( couldn't fix the furnace that night anyway) and then almost $600 to install a part that cost only a couple hundred dollars the next afternoon. They were at the house for less than 1/2 hr on the diagnostic, and then another 1/2hr to install new part. Nearly $900 for a $200 part I called a couple competitors about the same service and it was much cheaper than Wichita !! After 30 yrs I guess the newest family member doesn't understand the importance of repeat business, just wants to over charge you and move on to the next client. I won't be using these guys again. Dad was great when he ran the company but the next generation will run this company into the ground in no time with over priced service per the book rate he established. Dad always was reasonable on service calls and time and material on parts. I guess loyalty means nothing to them so I will be taking my business elsewhere I suggest you do the same. read more

When our AC crapped out in the middle of the summer of 2012 (also known as the year Omaha secretly relocated to the surface of the sun), Wichita was nothing short of a life-saver. It had to be one of their busiest summers on record, but they were out to our house the very next day. We ordered a new unit -- and since it was going to take a week or so to arrive and I was home on maternity leave with a newborn, they offered to jerry-rig a short-term solution for our old unit ... for free, without us having to ask. And when that short-term solution didn't last the whole week, they were back out to fix it ASAP ... for free. Anyone at any AC company would have been more than happy to sell us a new unit that summer -- and we were clearly desperate and vulnerable. But rather than take advantage, the guys at Wichita really went above and beyond to make sure they took care of us. Five stars for service alone. I'll be a Wichita customer for life. read more

If you see this review and are deciding between Wichita Heating and Cooling and someone else, just stop comparing now! My husband left for a work trip on a Tuesday earlier this summer and the VERY next day our A/C stops blowing cool air. He hardly ever travels for work so this was just my bad luck. I'm not one of those girls that feels helpless when this sort of thing happens and just immediately call the men in my life, I can definitely find a contractor and get it taken care of. HOWEVER, my father-in-law (bless his heart) heard about the situation and went to searching for a company. I'm so glad he did. He's the type of guy that knows and is friends with EVERYONE in Omaha. I honestly can't remember his connection with this company, but he calls them, then calls me and says they'd be over at 9am the next morning. Exactly 9 am and a very polite man shows up. For all those clean freaks out there, you appreciate when someone enters your home and takes off their dirty work boots which is exactly what they did. Punctual and polite= thumbs up so far in my book. The guy goes out to our A/C and looks at it and to make a long story short, there was just a small fix required that needed to happen to enable to the fan to work again. He said we had the option of replacing the piece that controls fan speed (approx. $300) or keep it at the same speed which is how all new A/Cs operate (approx. $100). We asked them if they were us, which would they do. They COULD have said the more expensive part and made an extra buck off of us, but they said to keep it as-is. They easily could have sold us on something more expensive or downright lied to us (and we would have believed it) but they didn't. Glad there are still some folks out there with honesty and integrity. Call them, seriously! read more

LOCALLY OWNED: Major thanks to Wichita Heating and Cooling who saved us from the heat today. Why wouldn't our air-conditioning unit stop working the day before heat waves on the day that we are hosting a party at our home? (SARCASM) Of course it would. But with one phone call in the morning to Wichita heating and cooling they were able to squeeze us in on a extremely hot and busy day. It was a quick fix, nevertheless they showed up and were quick with their efforts to resolve our situation. Our air is working great now thanks to them. Send your heating and cooling needs to Wichita, and they will take care of you. read more

When a One Hour competitor claimed I needed a new furnace (and air conditioner while they were at it) at my home, I called Wichita for a second opinion. Their technician confirmed that the heat exchanger was cracked but pointed out to me that because it was less than 10 years old that it was under warranty. They then replaced the heat exchanger for the cost of labor only. Score! At my business we've had a contract with the One Hour company but I again called Wichita for a second opinion when they claimed that two of the rooftop units needed replaced. They didn't know I'd asked Wichita for an inspection so they were pretty embarrassed when Wichita plugged back in the components they had removed and clearly demonstrated that the extent of my problem was dirty filters. (Watch out for the One Hour guys). I now use Wichita for my heating and A/C needs for all my business and residential needs. I'm delighted to have found a company with a strong moral compass in this day and age. read more

I was at a church auction and Wichita Heating and Cooling graciously donated a Gift Certificate for the works! Full service above and beyond. Maintenance, cleaning, inspection on controls, pressure ports, tubing, ignition assembly, burners, filters, blower...like I said "The Works". Ramon was my service tech and I can not say enough wonderful things about him. He asked about and listened to my concerns which he fixed with in minutes. Ramon explained the humidifier attachment (which I haven't been using correctly) as I don't have a manual. The two times I called their office the staff has personality...happy and obviously like their jobs and customers. I would HIGHLY recommend "WICHITA HEATING AND COOLING". read more

We were having issues with our heater (no fan). Ramon contacted me before he came to the house and was actually early for the appointment time. He inspected the system, found the issue and replaced the fan motor that had gone out. He also made some adjustments so the system so it would run more efficiently. He was very informative and explained everything he did. I would highly recommend Wichita Heating/Cooling and Ramon. read more

EXCELLENT customer service!!! Ramon just left my house after more than 2 hours hard working in such hot Saturday morning, sweaty top to bottom, being with courtesy and so polite. It was the second time he come to fix/repair our A/C. We do really appreciate his time and work! No words can express our appreciation! Another Wichita Tech stopped by yesterday, I shoud've asked his name too! We will definitely call Wichita again when we need help in the future! 5/5, 10/10, 100/100, ......... A+!!!!!!!! read more

We have used Wichita Heating for the last 15 years in 3 different houses.and had them install a new furnace in one of our older homes. They are excellent at what they do. The technicians are courteous, efficient, and competent and they are HONEST. When we built a house we had to use the builder's contractor and had nothing but problems including a malfunctioning a/c when first turned on. Once the warranty was over, we called Wichita. I now can sleep easy. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE NICEST, MOST HONEST FOLKS I EVER MET! Had someone rip me off (I am in my 60's) and screwed up installation of a furnace===. Also needed an air conditioner so when asking for bids no one wanted the job as the furnace had been put in crooked. Wichita came in and got it done in a day fixing the furnace the way it should have been and-- installed the air conditioner both in and out side----In less than 6 hrs. They hauled everything away-- even all the old furnace stuff the other guy left ! They didn't even leave a drop of dirt!!! Their prices were better than 3 other estimates I got. I will never use anyone else and can not recomment them highly enough. Thank God there are still honest hard working people out there!! Sherry M. read more

After having a terrible experience with a company named Burton for a basic furnace fan cleaning (which didn't get done). I tried to do a little more research when my AC when out on the first really hot day of the year. When a colleague recommended company was booked a few days out, I ran across Wichita Heating/Cooling through Yelp. Although, not many reviews, they were all positive. I gave them a call and they were also booked up but offered to put me on a wait list in the event they had an opening. Early afternoon that same day, my tech, Bob showed up. He was very informative, let me know what was going on every step of the way. Bob also saved me quite a few bucks by merely being an honest man. He could of very easily scammed me into thinking i needed more refrigerant but was honest in the fact that it was indeed his bad hose giving a false reading. This to me is something that is cause for a positive review and to recommend this company to others. It is sad that today's environment doesn't warrant honesty but good to know company's like Wichita are still out there. read more
