We had been noticing a decline in our A/C output since July - it wasn't getting as cold as it…read moreshould have been in the house. It really came to a head last week when we couldn't get it below 81 inside at the peak heat of the day even though the outside temp didn't break 90. The system is less than 3 years old, so I was frustrated and I was hot. I did my own self-troubleshooting on my own and cleaned the coils outside (which had a lot of caked-on stuff) and researched a lot online of what it could be. After I tried everything I could, I reached out to Abraham Heating & A/C knowing that I needed professional help. I spoke with Josh on Saturday and he lead me through some additional troubleshooting steps, and I was really impressed that he tried to solve my problem over the phone without costing me any money. When it became clear that he needed to come out, he scheduled us for his first available time, Tuesday afternoon. Thankfully, we weren't in a heatwave at the time, so we could keep the windows open and stay cool enough until things could be repaired. Josh was able to quickly diagnose that there was a defective evaporator coil in the house and the "freon" had leaked out, which is why things didn't get cold. Because the unit was so new, he knew that we'd be covered by warranty, so he called Lennox on our behalf. While it was covered, Lennox didn't have any replacement parts available - we'd have to wait 4 months for the part to come in from China. (Nothing against China or Lennox - this is how the global supply chain works now and keeps prices low.) Four months would be a bummer because it is mid-August now and we won't need the cool air in December. Josh advocated for us with Lennox and they were able to come up with an alternative solution with a part that Lennox did have and just needed some fabrication and modification to work with our system. We would just have to pay the difference in labor time and for the "freon" that needed to be added to the system. Thoughtfully, he didn't presume that we'd automatically go with this solution, and I appreciate that. Of course, we were impressed by what he'd already done for us that it was a no-brainer to have him complete the service. By Thursday, Josh had the part in-had and got it modified for installation. Now we have a cool house just in time for the upcoming weekend that is expected to be pretty hot. We really appreciate the helpful and honest work that Josh does at Abraham. In this situation, it would have been easy for others to use deceptive practices, but Josh is better than that. It is clear he works with integrity as well as skill. I am very pleased with the work, results, and price. What could have been an expensive $2000 job, ended up being only $700 thanks to Josh's help. Hopefully, we don' have HVAC issues in the future, but as with homeownership, it's not if issues pop-up, it is when. I know that when I need HVAC help again, I'll be calling Josh at Abraham Heating & A/C.

A few years back, Abraham came to look at our 10yr old heat pump. Told me the unit (brand they…read moresell) was not under warranty, and was not worth repairing. He also clipped all the wires "to avoid further damage" and promptly gave me a quote for a new one. I said no thanks. Billed me $100 for his time, insisting I pay that day. Called a different local company for 2nd opinion. They told me the unit (which they do not sell) was in fact under warranty and asked me why all the wires had been cut. They laughed when I told them, and promptly repaired the wires Abraham had cut, repaired the leaky line, filled with freon and the unit was working just fine. This is the worst case of fraud I have ever encountered. Perhaps his hope is that his Jesus license plates will instill trust in his customers so that he can rip them off without question.

She stated there has been an influx of maintenance/warranty customers and they are priority. So this company gave me a day when they would be out, a few days later changed it to almost a week later, and essentially told me that other people are more important than me. Very frustrating when my AC is not working, now I have wasted a few days and find a new company to work with. This is just my experience with one person.
