I have multi-family property and felt this was too high. Called my HVAC guy that does work for our real estate management company and he said the fix could be between $250-$900 depending on the issue. I thought "well that quote is in range". He said to send him the model number of the heater and he would look up the price from the supply house. He called me back and said the OEM motor was $600, so I thought he was being honest. My HVAC guy said the after market motor was $250. So, I told my HVAC guy to go ahead and do the work. I went out to the tech from Indoor Climate Solutions and told him his price was too high and did he consider going to an after market motor. The tech from Indoor Climate Solutions told me "that is the price for the after market motor". LIE! I told him I didn't need him to do the work and he charged me a diagnostic fee (which is reasonable as he came out). My HVAC guy comes out the next morning and it wasn't the motor at all, but a capacitor! Either the ICS tech was lying from the beginning or is completely incompetent. I got the unit fixed for $150 total with the travel fee. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! They will rip you off!

Yes, I ended up paying a bit more; but because of the personal service and attention I understood why. There was no blame, no demands to pay up, nothing negative about the situation at all.
