If you don't know anything about what's being worked on, you're at the mercy of what they say. The one word I would use to describe Absolute Comfort would be ethical! Our furnace started having a weird issue where it would periodically not start, the inducer motor would turn on and run forever but it would not send signal to spark. If I turned it on and off it would reset and work fine for anywhere from 1-24 hours. I called them on a Friday after I gave up tinkering with it. The manager advised me that we would have to pay overtime hours by the time they could be out, and that they wouldn't even be able to get parts till Monday. So if I could keep it running we should wait till Monday to save ourselves money. Monday they came out and looked it over and ran some test, and said the reason we were having issues was because we had too many vents closed in unused rooms. He opened the vents and ran more test and said the heat sensor was now reading in the appropriate range. Took him about an hour - $69.50 That evening the problem came back, we called and they said they would come back the next day. Tuesday they came out and replaced a part they thought was the problem based on what they saw the previous visit. $40 for the part, no charge for the labor! That evening the problem came back again. I called and they said they would come back Wednesday and see what they could find. They came out Wednesday with another part. NO CHARGE for the labor OR the part!! They said they put it in as a "recall". I noticed right away that the furnace sounds different. It engages way faster than it ever did and is working great. $110 total charge for 3 visits and 2 parts. I couldn't be happier with how they handled our problem I will be a customer for life.
