Love this spot. Fantastic fresh meals and sandwiches; can be pricey for a "deli", but it's worth it in my opinion.

Everyone was very friendly. The dining area could be a little more inviting , it's very sterile looking with all white walls and "Epstein's" logo on the opposite wall of where you walk in Needs more artwork or something to make it more inviting to dine in. We ordered mushroom barley soup, one pastrami sandwich and a square potato knish to share. We added the extra meat and went first cut, Everything was delicious! So only one question.....The establishment states they are kosher... then why are they offering a roast beef sandwich with MAYONNAISE as a special that day , literally up on the chalkboard. A kosher restaurant never offers mayonnaise on any meat.. against kosher rules. This was very odd. This didn't affect our visit but kosher customers would definitely have an issue with this.

I prefer a hot soup, especially on a really cold day. My mushroom barley was tasty though and my husband enjoyed his chicken noodle soup. Definitely smaller than I remember. But it was tasty. Perhaps we would come back for a treat. But I did think it was pricey for what we got.

As you can tell by the existence of this review, I had decided to get to Bellmore I would park in the parking lot next to this business until I got back. This place does kind of give me a Rocky Balboa vibe upon entering, which isn't a bad thing at all. Some of the names of the menu items are even inspired from the movies such as The Balboa and The Italian Stallion. Beyond that, this place does take a little learning, but ordering is pretty simple once you know what you're doing. You don't pay for the order until you get your food, and you pay right by the front door. This is something I could see going awry if the wrong kind of people were to come here and requires an amount of trust in the customers that can make some nervous people uncomfortable. Really though, beyond that the service here is really good. I did have to remind the cashier to get my bill right when it was my turn to pay, so there is also that to consider. I did The Spartan Stack and some Mac and cheese bites because when I was returning to Katonah, I NEEDED something to eat right there and then. The Spartan Stack let me tell you got the spot just right, and I did appreciate some healthier ingredients such as cucumber in there. The Mac and cheese bites are a newer item as was The Spartan Stack, and those were pretty tasty. You get a chipotle sauce to dip them in, and let me just say that it does actually pack a punch of heat! All in all, a really satisfying lunch and I'm glad I came here. It's actually a great spot if you're commuting from the Katonah Station and it's very convenient. A good place indeed.

Although both sandwiches were barely warm -- almost to the point where my husband was considering sending it back to the kitchen. He did not as he didn't want to wait for another sandwich to be brought out. The hand-cut French fries were very good. The coleslaw was okay -- certainly not the best I've had, but far from the worst. They also brought out two types of classic complimentary pickles for the table. Again, they were just okay -- I've definitely had better. One thing to note: the classic half sandwich & cup of soup combo comes with fries, but if you order just a classic sandwich, it does not come with fries, both priced at $17.99. My husband got the cup of lentil soup, which he enjoyed. I ordered the potato salad as a side dish, it was very vinegar-heavy and not really to my taste. I ended up bringing it home and doctoring it up, which made it much better. They had good deli mustard on the table, I asked for Russian dressing since I like that on my pastrami sandwich -- that was good. And of course, you've for to have a Dr. Brown's Cel-Ray or any one of the other Dr Brown flavors. All in all, we enjoyed our lunch. Between the food, the service, and the fact that the place is dated, I'd give it a 3 1/2 stars overall. Free on-site parking is a big parking lot as there are several other stores right in the plaza. I wanted to note that this Deli is dairy free. So no chocolate milk, but you can get a classic egg cream.

This isn't a fancy place--they close early, there are no white tablecloths, no wine list, and the décor leans toward gray veneer booths with red seats. But that's exactly the point. You come here for the food, not the frills. The pickles were outstanding--crisp, flavorful, and the kind you keep reaching for between bites. We both had pastrami on fresh, soft rye with great mustard, and it hit the spot completely. The fries were just right too--crispy overall with those smaller, extra-crunchy pieces mixed in. There's something really satisfying about a place like this. Simple, honest food done well. After a full day of work, it made for a relaxed and genuinely enjoyable date night. We'll definitely be back.

The inside of the deli was definitely recently renovated, it is extremely clean with a good vibe. The counter person was very nice and answered my phone call quickly. I figured when you try a deli you need to go with a sandwich. I got the philly cheesesteak on a wedge (Yes, wedge, we are still in Westchester). I was impressed with the presentation. There was a generous amount of meat and cheese. The meat was juicy and had a great sear on it. You can tell Lily's used good quality roast beef, and not the steam-ums some places try to swindle you with. My only constructive criticism is the bread was a little stale. I notice wedge bread can be stale at some places because most people get rolls. Overall, I was impressed with Lily's. It's kinda in a weird location but that adds to its charm. My sandwich was very good and the service matched. The prices were quite reasonable too. It was like $10 and change for a philly wedge. I do recommend this place.
