She helped form the strategic plan, but was on point with the smallest of details. The contacts they had for every imaginable service made planning a breeze. Although they are very busy (for obvious reasons), they promptly replied to every email, text message and phone call. They went above and beyond to serve as referee, counselor, mediator, and fixer. I cannot accurately describe how reassuring it is having a go-to (or two) to put out any fires or better yet, prevent them before they started. For brides-to-be, you will not find a better planner with more solid contacts in the industry. For grooms, cut the check! In retrospect I would have paid triple what they charged for the quality of life and piece of mind leading up to the events, and for the smile on the face of my beautiful bride on the day of. After getting a recommendation from our amazing photographer (Kelsey Combe) and reading glowing reviews, I reached out to Kate, desperate and nervous. We immediately connected with Kate's calming, soothing demeanor on our first phone call and she was (thankfully!) willing to take on our wedding and right all the wrongs of our previous planner. Kate was an absolute angel (and I don't say this lightly!), who was patient, kind, insanely organized and professional and went above and beyond in executing my original vision. She fully embraced all of the wacky ideas we had (vinyl records as party gifts? sure! multiple disco balls? okay!) and brought so many out-of-the-box ideas to the table as well. Using her software, AislePlanner, made even the most annoying aspects of wedding planning (the dreaded seating charts) fun and simple. There's no rest for the wicked? False: there's literally no rest for wedding planners. I've…read morebeen eating at Sam's of Gedney Way for years and had tried their catering at a Taste of WhitePlains event a while back. The passed hors d'oeuvres we had were over the top. A combination of land and sea--Filet Mignon with Arugula and Horseradish Goat Cheese (amazing!), Outer Banks Crab Cakes with mustard caper sauce, and Crisp Coconut Shrimp with chili lime sauce (mouth watering as I recall them). As a vegetarian option, the Brie & Roasted Shallot Tart with caramelized fig chutney went so well with the red wine I was drinking. Other good gnoshing with their Classic Antipasto platter and a couple of platters of Shrimp Cocktail. For the main course, we had Tuscan Chicken with artichokes, and sage in a lemon butter sauce, along with a Penne Pasta with Prosciutto, grana and peas in a light tomato cream sauce, and huge platter of grilled vegetables. They cut up the chicken small enough so that you didn't need a knife, making it easier to eat in a cocktail setting. The entrees hit the spot and weren't too heavy after all the appetizers. Since I had already hired someone for the night to work the party, I opted for them to drop-off the food. They wheel it in in these giant containers that keeps everything the right temperature until you need it. They gave us instructions on how to heat and serve everything. Nothing was dry or soggy. And they set us up with all the serving pans and platters. All in all, they were helpful in providing guidance on which food to order. Calling Caperberry for the next party.

From the minute we reached out to Deborah in June of 2020, we knew we needed to work with her. She was unbelievably responsive, but most of all kind and compassionate. Within 20 minutes of speaking with her, we immediately booked her for Day of Coordinator services for our May 1, 2021 wedding. Throughout Fall 2020 and Winter 2021, Deborah continued to be responsive and listen to our worries and concerns. When we made the decision to proceed with a 50-person "micro wedding" on May 1, 2021 and postpone our 300-person reception to March 2022, Deborah was right there to assure us that everything would work out. Leading up to May 1st, we were assigned Kristin as our Day of Coordinator. Kristin met with us and helped to organize our wedding day itinerary, which still involved a decent amount of logistics even though we were still only having 50 people. She followed up with all of our vendors leading up to May 1st to confirm details and timing, as well. Both Deborah and Kristin showed up at our rehearsal on April 30th and even though we were meeting them in person for the first time, it felt like we had known them for years. They were prepared and knew the details of our mass in and out. On the morning of May 1st, Kristin texted us when she was on her way and asked if we needed any last minute items. As soon as she arrived, though, is when we saw the value of having the Deborah Minarik team with us in action. Kristin swooped in and ensured that every single detail (big and small) was handled accordingly. She checked in on the groom, dads and groomsmen to make sure they were all ready, made sure the bride, moms and bridesmaids had all eaten enough and set up all accessories for detailed photos. Kristin worked closely with our photographer and videographer throughout the day to make sure that every photo we wanted was taken and even held the cathedral veil and train throughout countless photos to ensure the perfect shot was taken. When we arrived at our venue, Kristin checked to make sure everything had been set up as requested. She even went to great lengths to find a banner we thought had gone missing and needed for a picture, and even offered to drive back to the hotel to get it (thankfully it ended up being under the sweetheart table). Not once during the day, did we stress about logistics. Kristin was a calming presence and we were so lucky to have her with us. Having her there throughout the day allowed us to be worry-free and truly enjoy every single moment. Hiring Deborah and her team was one of the best decisions we made and we are so thankful that we'll get to work with them again in March 2022. We highly recommend booking them ASAP!

She kept everything and everybody on track, and there wasn't even the slightest hiccup of any kind throughout the entire day. Our parents initially weren't entirely on board with the idea of a day-of coordinator, but relented after the day went so smoothly.
