My husband was there today to get some breakfast crepes this morning and an employee came into the restaurant directly from outside and proceeded to grab something and started to prepare food. When he saw my husband watching him he proceeded to put on gloves. Flys were in the kitchen and landing on the food. When my husband got back with the food, he decided not to eat it and go get something different. I don't think we will be eating there again. Stopped by after a run on a Sunday morning to try the crepes. We got a couple of savory ones and one sweet one. The crepes were fine but the employees could use more training. We went at the start of summer so the employees were all teenagers. While they did their job, they weren't confident in what they were doing. It could also be because the manager/owner was standing behind them the entire time. The teenagers also made cheering gestures when a group of people left without ordering anything after looking at the menu. It didn't give very welcoming vibes. We both got their Koffi crepe. It had breakfast sausage patty, avocado and something else as stuffing...not memorable apparently. It had a chipotle mayo inside and on top. Sausage was flavorful, but it wasn't cut up so it wasn't evenly distributed throughout. I think if they had cut up the pieces of everything, it would have been more enjoyable. You can have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner! I got the kitchen sink ($11.69) under breakfast crepes. Has eggs, mushrooms, sausage, onions and crispy hashbrowns with chipotle sauce. Strawberry banana Nutella leige waffle ($10.69). Leige waffles are different than Belgium waffles because it's smaller with rounded edges vice rectangular and you could taste the caramelize sugar dough. It came with two waffles. On line menu said three. Also got the turkey pesto crepe ($11.69). Very good with pieces of chicken strips, crispy bacon and avocado. I got hazelnut latte and it wasn't the best but it was a big cup. The crepes are pretty large and you do get a lot for the price. I also ordered what was supposed to be a Belgian waffle. Never again! They were very dry and dense. My friend ordered a cinnamon sugar crack. They didn't mention that the sugar is brown sugar, which really didn't go over well. She ordered a honey mustard chicken, which came with spinach. The spinach wasn't cooked, therefore making the crap very dry. Came in on Saturday just before noon during the farmer's market. The place felt pretty dirty; the table we sat at wasn't wiped very clean and there were several flies bothering us during our meal. I would have expected a cleaner restaurant since the place was nearly empty when we arrived and there were 3-4 people on staff. The utensils are those cheap white plastic ones that tend to break easily and the plates were disposable paper ones as were the cups, but they did the job. No complaints about the servers/workers themselves though. Zeta's - I actually enjoyed the sandwich a lot, generous amount of bacon & avocado. Bread toasted nicely. Decent pesto and turkey. I'm 99% sure the chips came right out of a Lay's bag, not really a complaint just an observation. Bacon & Egg Crepe - My gf ordered the crepe, we both thought it was just okay. I'd wager the sweet crepes are better, I just didn't like the taste/texture combo of the one we ordered. Also wish the filling had more variety. A fly landed on the crepe midway through the meal which was a little unappetizing, we cut that portion off. Overall decent spot for a quick brunch/lunch/dessert in Old Poway. Because of my poor experience with the overall cleanliness, I think takeout is the move. Let me preface this HARD. I don't really prefer savory crepes. At all. I like dessert crepes to all heaven. So, that being said, I come here with a group for lunch, to a place called Wholly Crepe, and I don't order crepes. That may be my bad..... In any case, this is the fourth time I've been here the last being precovid. The first panini I got was great. The second time we went I was craving a panini and they were out. So, I left and went to the liquor store to buy candy and jerky and a snapple and sulk in my disappointment. I sat with my friends while they enjoyed their crepes and ate my jerky. Not happy. I was convinced to go again and as soon as we went in, the guy working the food and register pointed at me and said "we have paninis, don't leave." Ok, he remembered me which was a really good attribute. So I ordered a panini. And it was good. We went yesterday and they were closed for maintenance. So, we made a point to go back today. 6 of us ordered food. 4 of 6 ordered crepes. I of course ordered a panini. Apparently, because I am difficult. When I order he looks at me and says "you have been here before." I replied, yeah it's been a few years. This is a big bonus to be honest. He remembered me after more than 2 years. This is not a common trait and I really appreciate it. It took some time to get our food, but understand there seems to be 2 people working in the restaurant. The cook is the server and the host and the cook. And every once in a while you see someone that may be washing dishes or prepping. That being said, food was slow to get to our table. Now, the server cook busser host guy tries his absolute best to get all 6 of our orders to us at the same time and we all showed up at different times. This is admirable. I've worked food. Close to impossible. And this is where being understaffed starts to show. My sandwich was not what I ordered. Strangely just me. Everyone else was happy and got quiet eating. In restaurant terms that's a good thing people are hungry and enjoying their food. I wanted to mention to the server host cook (I'm guessing the owner) my panini problems but I saw how hard he was trying. Honestly, this is tough to accomplish with multiple orders in split times trying to sync everything up. Regardless, my panini was not a panini, it was a grilled sandwich. Buttery flat top grilled, and half of one side was very lightly over cooked, bordering burnt. So I wasn't stoked. However, the remainder of my party liked their crepes excluding the one other panini orderer who got the same thing I was delivered and also commented on the grilled sandwich. One of my friends got a desert crepe to share and it was actually really really tasty. After everyone left I approached our dude and told him of the mistake and he immediately tried to refund my order. Another huge bonus. And with that I refused the refund because I appreciate the personal touches which means this guy pays attention to the patrons, and got hammered by a large order. And I get it. He tried hard, and gave everyone except unfortunately the one person who reviews things a good lunch. But, he is working his butt of and trying and I know Poway is having staffing issues. So, even though I didn't get a home run, dang that dessert was good. And, if you go with a normal size group, and order a crepe, you'll probably get a really good meal. So Wholly Crepe makes good crepes. Whodda thunk. Maybe stick to that. :) You can't please everyone. Stick to what you are good at. :) The guy is trying hard and the namesake good was well received. That is why I am giving 4 stars. read more

I could not finished my savory crepe (even if i was pretty hungry after my visit to the DMV nearby and it was breakfast time). I asked what was the most popular (as it was my first time) and got a gigantic one but had no flavor and felt like eating something very greasy and unhealthy. Sorry to say because the place looked neat, the decor and all, but also got the feeling that was not the cleanest restaurant.
