I came here with a friend after dinner. Normally, my go-to is the plain tart when it comes to frozen yogurt. I was disappointed that the dispenser had runny yogurt, so I opted for the dole whip instead. The dole whip flavor was good, but I would've preferred the plain tart, or a combo of both. The texture of the dole whip was just right, so overall I was happy. I appreciate how they provided sample cups so I could try the various flavors. If you have young kids, they will like it here because the spoons change color when it touches the cold yogurt, then gradually changes back to its original color from the warmth of your mouth. There's also a wide selection of toppings that would put smiles on a little face, and big faces too! My friend went overboard with an assortment of toppings! There's a good number of tables and chairs along one of the walls, which is always nice. I hate it when places don't have enough seating and you have to stand outside. read more

In the Mix is one of the few mom and pop frozen yogurt shops in the San Diego area that has sugar-free frozen yogurt. I'm diabetic and have been deprived of sweet frozen desserts and a lot of low carb, sugar free ice cream don't seem to cut it for me. Fortunately, In the Mix's sugar free frozen yogurt is great! I got the cheesecake flavor topped with almonds and strawberries. It was sweet, creamy, and smooth! The only thing to note is that they have only one sugar free flavor, but they do rotate it. Sweet little froyo spot for my co-workers and I! I hadn't had frozen yogurt for years and then one day, we decided to take our co-worker there after a nice little birthday lunch. It is located in a Poway strip mall near Aldi. I'm an Ube fanatic so I was stoked to hear that they served up that flavor. They also had toppings such as mochi, gelatin and fresh fruit which was right up my alley. They also had a no sugar added strawberry banana froyo as well which my co-worker gobbled up. Everything is priced by weight so depending on your appetite, that'll determine how much you spend. Flavors: Ube, Dole Pineapple (another fave of mine), Chocolate, Vanilla and plenty more. Lovely little froyo spot with a great selection of flavors, mostly gluten free (for my gf friends)! I also love that they have non-dairy options like the Dole whip-esque pineapple freeze. I was delightfully surprised by the sheer number of topping selections! Didn't get to snap a photo, but they have hot fudge, mochi, a TON of different candies, cereals, popping bobas, fresh fruits, sauces, sprinkles, etc. Any combination you can dream of - they probably have it! There are some yogurt spots in San Diego that stand out, and this is one of them. It looks like any other yogurt shop, but they have great flavors that may make a brief appearance. My favorites are the pistachio, salted caramel, ube, and the Mexican chocolate. They also have pints available so that you can easily take additional yogurt to go (which I did, haha). This is a solid frozen yogurt spot in Poway. I took my kids here on a Friday evening, and this place was stellar. It was clean, everything was labeled, the machines all worked, and the toppings were well stocked. I saw quite a few families here, which was comforting because I was alone with my toddlers (aged 2 and 4). We took our froyo to go and we're given very cool color-changing spoons- which my children LOVED. There was plenty of parking outside and ample seating both indoors and outdoors. If you are picky and like specific froyo places over most because of the lack of good options you are in for a treat here. I love sweets and have gone into enough froyo places and have left with no froyo. That did not happen last night when I came here. They had enough flavors beyond chocolate and vanilla that I was actually interested in. I think some of the flavors was some salted butter cookie, ube and spooky tangerine were flavors that stuck out to me. Yes they also had strawberry and some kind of peanut butter. It hasd the standard toppings and us like any other froyo place. The staff was friendly and even helped serve a kid after there closed. That kinda service took a 4 star review to 5 stars. I had to make sure I specified what made it 5 stars for the people who see this review and go and say well it's good but not 5 stars. Located next to Vons in the plaza on the other side of Walmart, you'll find In the Mix serving tasty flavors including lotus cookie, strawberry & banana, coffee, tart flavors, ube and of course Dole pineapple :) The staff is also friendly and gave out sample cups for us to try out some of the flavors. It feels like family and the owners or main staff always recognize their clients. He always smiles when he sees me and asks about my son. The variety is limited but the ambiance is unique.
