We gave Whole Slvce another try for Valentine's Day dinner when we didn't feel like competing with the masses at a sit-down place. Ordering was simple and our wait time was surprisingly short, only 20 minutes. We ordered one pie, half white pizza and half peppers and mushrooms. I am glad they offer this as an option, for easy-sharing, but know there is a significant upcharge for doing so. Our one pizza after tax (before tip) was $42. This is really expensive and even though I had a gift card, I didn't feel the food was worth the cost. The cook on our pie was perfect this time and the crust is really good, but I'm hesitant to return at this price point. If you do go, I highly recommend ordering a whole pie so you know you are getting fresh pizza- the slices are repeatedly dried out or burnt.
Ok ok. Not bad. I tried a slice of the calabrese and mozzarella pizza and washed it down with a San Pelligrini (as pictured). A friend was raving about this place so I finally had a try. I am reserving 5 stars for the next try though. I want to come here and have a slice straight out of the oven and not reheated for 2 minutes. I did love the generous serving of the mozzarella balls on the pizza and the crust was nice. I could say that this place has the potential to be in my top 3. I do love a good New York style thin crust pizza bought off the street. The staff was nice and you can't beat $.55 for parking.
I always love coming to visit when I'm in the area and this time was for my lunch break. It's a great little local spot with plenty to offer. I had to come in a get my usual combo but as vegan ranch, yea thank you! Everything was great from food to space to service. Bathrooms for customers in the area (got to get a code) and limited seating but several places around.
My favorite here is the rotating strombone. I get the vegan version which they put as much effort and thought into as the non vegan counterpart with housemade alternatives. I like to ask for their complimentary side of marinara for it. They have vegan ranch with additional charge for anyone who wants it. I like that you can see the owner make your pizza. I like their pizza too but prefer thicker crust in general which is why I prefer their strombone - but that's just my personal preference. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!
This is the best pizza in town besides Rocco's Chicago style. I come here all the time and I am always happy with my choices. Not only do they have pizza, they also have salads and cannolis! A small selection of drinks in the mini fridge showcases sodas and water. Pizza is thin sliced. My favorite is the simple pepperoni because the pepperoni pieces are small and a little crispy. The flavor and freshness is the best! You can also get it with little chunks of mozzarella. Yum! Other toppings include sausage, bell pepper, onion. The wonderful smell wafts to your nose the minute you enter and you can see the choices and pizza being made right in front of you! Super fresh! The kale Caesar is phenomenal. It has a great dressing that is rich in flavor and a good amount of garlic. Olives and artichoke pieces are spread on top. It is a big salad you could split it with someone for sure. Get a warm, fresh cannoli served hot to finish off the meal. So good!
T I had a chance to visit on the night of the all souls procession, and I was very impressed. Despite having a long line of people, the staff handled it like a well oiled machine slices flew out of the kitchen and the staff never once seemed to lose their good mood. The lemon ricotta pizza is my favorite. It has a light lemon flavor, enough to not be overwhelming and several generous dollop of ricotta cheese my little cousin who is visiting from Italy, had a slice of the pepperoni and remarked that the pepperoni was a nice thickness and had crispy edges which he really liked, he also commented on the Cross how it was light and airy, and had a good crunch to it. He scarfed his slides down so fast by the time I took the picture of my lemon ricotta. He was already done eating his.

I was excited to try the cannolis I ordered and then they refunded me after realizing they were out. They did not provide any receipts for my original order or the cannoli refund. Somehow it ended up being over $9+ for one pepperoni pizza slice. No seating indoors, so it is takeout or outdoor patio seating only. The takeout pizza slice came in a paper bag instead of a cardboard pizza box or plate, which was a little weird and messy.

Finally got the chance to swing by and try Whole Slvce after it was recommended to me multiple times! The pizza had a great, thin crust and a lot of flavor. I got the Number 1, which is your standard tomato sauce, mozzarella, and Romano slice but it was absolutely delicious! I went a bit later in the evening so they were already sold out of a few of the individual slices but I'm hoping next time I go, I'll be able to try Number 3. I ended up taking my slice to go and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Overall, another great food option in that area and one that I'm sure I'll be visiting again in the future!
Delicious $5 slices made to order. Great service definitely some fun people working there and a nice outdoor eating area. Slices a big and totally worth checking out.

When I first started in the restaurant business, the owner gave great advice: treat every person who walks through the door as you would your mother and father. Yesterday, I came to provide some local businesses support for small business Saturday, and I did not feel welcome at all. The place is small and the type where you order at the counter and either take the food to go or sit on one of the bistro tables outside around the corner. Along with my son, there was one customer in front of us finishing her order. Then, an older, disheveled guy went around us and ordered in front of us. The woman taking the orders saw what happened and did not say anything about it. Perhaps this is pettiness that could be the center of a Seinfeld episode, but I am at the point in my life where I don't care how good the product is if I feel like I am being disrespected. The pizza was better than average, but I will not be back.

Whole Slvce Pizza has been my go-to since I they opened. They have the best Vegan Pizza Option in Tucson. honestly my favorite pizza spot in Tucson. The #6 is always a win, but I love that you can turn pretty much any pizza into a vegan version. This time I went with the #6 (tomato sauce, kale, cremini mushrooms, eggplant, pesto, parmesan) and it hit as usual. Had to grab a vegan cannoli on their menu by Houlden's too. Fun fact: I actually did some plumbing in the building they're in, so it's extra cool seeing the spot thriving. Great food, great people, always a solid choice. read more

This is prob one of the worst spot in Tucson I have tried. Came here the first time and it cost roughly $8 for a skinny thin sliced of pepperoni pizza. The pizza itself tastes mediocre without much flavoring. They are stingy with the amount of toppings, esp pepperoni. You can get way better pizza from other places like Time Market and Penelope pizza. Even Mod pizza taste way better than this pizza with a lot more toppings. The worker also use her bare hand to grab my slices of pizza without wearing a glove, which is unsanitary. The customer service here is terrible. It is one of the worst I have ever experienced in my life. I specifically asked for a small white box for my sliced of pizza to go since the pizza itself will get smashed and fly around in the car. The lady with glasses heard me but ignore my request. When she handed me the food in a paper bag, I asked again and she said she can't do anything even though a small white box is right behind her. She is just too lazy to get it and doesn't care about customer service I greatly dislike this place. It's overpriced with terrible customer service. Why waste your money on a piece of crappy pizza when you can get way better quality ones from Time Market and other local spots. read more

Food is so delicious the crust amazing. Cheese pull 8/10 . Ready in 6.73 minutes really good timing . Not that many places to so you will have to sit outside but ambiance over is great. Excellent job!!! Staff was very nice!!! I'm going again?! read more

Went to Whole Slvce on a Saturday and service was really good! I ordered the lemon ricotta slice and pepperoni slice. Both slices were just mid to be honest. Pepperoni had a slight kick but it wasn't mind blowing! Same with the lemon ricotta pizza. I was hoping for a more lemon-y taste but could barely taste it. It was really creamy and very cheesy-- but a bit too cheesy for my taste! They were out of the Sicilians by the time I got there so I'll have to go back and try that! read more
I always thought Falora was the best pizza in Tucson but they made While Slvce a close contender. They have the same kale salad with olives and artichokes, covered in the best cashew dressing I've ever tasted. They have more vegan toppings available than Falora and appear to have a rotating vegan special slice. Came here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and had no issues getting a quick order from their friendly staff and finding a clean table outside. I'll definitely be a repeat customer here. read more
Counter ordering. Outdoor seating only. There is a shaded breezeway with small bistro tables outside. We tried slices of Pepperoni, Ricotta Lemon, plus the Kale Salad. We loved the Ricotta Lemon, which is very cheesy, and the lemon is very subtle. The pepperoni was good, but the Ricotta Lemon will bring us back. Their marinara is a little on the sweeter side. Crust light but thicker than a Neapolitan pie. True to their mission of being an homage to NY pie. We want to try the other slices. Vegan friendly spot, a lot of vegan options on the menu too. I loved all the ingredients in the kale salad and how they had it made ahead with dressing. Kale was tender and plentiful with artichokes, olives, etc. However the house dressing it comes with was not for us. It's probably a well-known creamy vegan ingredient, but it tasted soapy/lotion-like to my taste buds. The menu could be more intuitive; slices are listed by number and ingredients. And there isn't a menu on the wall. I love minimalism, but some menu updates would be good. I wanted the slice of pepperoni I saw on the counter, so I ordered a pep and got a different type because the one in front of me was not pep, but the Sicilian. Smarter foodies than me probably would've known this. Overall, will be back for that Lemon Ricotta and to try the Sicilian! Very cute location in the Mercado District. read more
Tried Whole Slvce for the first time today and we'll definitely be back! I love that you can order any pie in a "classic" or plant based version. Some of the flavors were ready made, others were made to order, so you'll want to be mindful of that if you're in a hurry. It was pretty quiet when we first got there, so our slices only took about 10 mins. The smell is so enticing when you walk by that it's impossible to not stop in! It's walk-up style, so easy to take on the go - but they also have a cute shaded patio next door that can enjoy your lunch in! My partner and I both ordered the No 3 lemon ricotta and loved the unique flavor. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! read more

This is my new spot for Vegan Pizza. There's a few places where I can say are have to go when in town kinda pizza in the US Las Vegas - Down 2 Earth Pizza Los Angeles - Purgatory Pizza STARTING TODAY ****Tucson - Whole Slice I have to say the sauce was not tangy like most sauce I tried but just right with a bit/hint of a kick. It was delicious. We had some focaccia bread from the farmers market next door(only on Thursdays) and scraped some sauce on it and man it was good. Would love to just have a jar of the sauce. The crust...I can go on and on. Each ingredient can stand alone. When youre in Tucson, plan on coming here and eating the best vegan pizza hands down. I will now be a regular and now dont have to go so far for a pizza craving. Great job to the staff and hats off to the chef read more

New openly New York style pizza. This review is based on the pizza and not the opening issues that every store has. No major opening issues, just working out ordering bug in the system. Crust and overall pizza didn't have much flavor. The dough had a unique smell, not bad but different from other shops. The ferment the dough so that could be it. As for New York Style, I'll give them a 5/10. Good size slice Plenty of classic styles Crunchy crust where is counts Personal opinion: No flavor in the dough The unique pizzas flavoring is off One slice was over charred Found a hair on one slice Not much depth of flavor in either slice Will come again in the next few weeks to try again. High expectations not such high results. Tried the vegan pizza of the day. The crust was good. That was about it. The seating was terrible. The prices were ok. Another place that asks for a tip without providing waitstaff or even menus at the table. Cheap paper plates and cups. Just pretty disappointing all around. read more

Nothing fancy, but this place has the pie check it out. They got slices. They got full pizzas. They got a pretty nice menu for a pizza place. They got drinks. Nice open area outside to eat and very fast and friendly service at the front. There's a frequent buyer card, so make sure to get your punches Fast and easy. This is the place to go. read more

The service was fast and friendly, but we weren't able to modify our slices of pizza. 3 slices ran about $23. The pizza was good, but not mind blowing. I may need to try a whole pizza. It's nice to have a pizza option in the Congress/freeway area. There wasn't a lot of room or tables to sit at. read more

They sell pizza by the slice And whole pizzas. You cannot personalize the slices, But you can personalize your whole pizza. We just did a whole pepperoni pizza. And it was so good! The perfect amount of pepperoni as well as crispy crust. The crust was very good. I usually don't eat crust on pizza, but I did with this. Just a heads up that they do not have any indoor seating, but there is a patio next-door read more

Pretty good pizza. We got 3 slices to try and shared them. Unfortunately they didn't have knives to cut them in half. We were most excited to try #4 (salami, onion, Calabrian chili, ricotta) but it was actually our least favorite. That one was pretty dry and I couldn't taste the salami. #2, classic pepperoni ended up being our favorite. Loved the little pepperonis, even though there weren't very many on it. We also got #5 (sausage, peppers, onions) which was good but also lacking on the toppings. Seating is in the courtyard and very limited. They had cups for water, but the water container was almost empty and water was warm. The dinner rush was just starting and they were somehow out of the kale salad. read more

Service was quick and friendly. We ordered the #3 slice. The bubbles of fresh ricotta, parmesan, lemon zest, black pepper were so good. Eat it when it's hot and out of the oven. Seating is only at outside tables. It can be warm out. We were sweating while eating our slices. You can purchase by the slice or whole pizzas. They have water available but it was warm. I got another slice to go and they put it on a paper plate in a paper bag. I wish they had a pizza box for slices. read more
We stopped for a slice, but ended up grabbing a whole pizza, for cost savings. We got the lemon ricotta, which I thought was full of flavor. I could really taste the lemon, and I loved the big bubbles in the crust. Slices were big, so one or two is enough. We had enough pizza for the next day. It took about 30 minutes. They gave us a light up thing and we walked over to West Bound and grabbed a drink, which was nice. Its nice to have a pizza option in the Mercado. read more
