Went here yesterday with friends. No AC. It's summer. No ice even tho the hostess watched two little girls keep trying to use it. Ordered 3 beers and one 12 inch pizza. Host asked if we wanted an open tab. We said yes. No option for a tip less than 18%?? Total was $54.29. Went to pay for food and find that today was CHARGED AN EXTRA $31.85 from them? 10/10 would never tell someone to go to this place. Get it together and fix it. absolutely ridiculous. One great thing about bear canyon pizza is that the portions are HUGE! I once got a calzone that lasted me for 3 meals. So you're getting your moneys worth of meals for sure! I've been a long-time raver about Bear Canyon's pizza, wings, sandwiches, and salads. However the pizza we ordered tonight fell woefully short. It looked fine, but lacked the essential qualities that make BCP so good. The usual delightfully chewy crust was overly crisp and not chewy, and the flavor just wasn't there. I ordered black olive, onion, and extra cheese. Plenty of olives but there must be a shortage of onion in the kitchen, because onion was barely there. Adding onion is the same price as adding meat, so the veg should have been plentiful. The photo shows that the cheese wasn't distributed evenly. And lastly, the sauce was so sparse that the pizza ate dry. Very disappointing. read more

Family and I came in tonight for a calzone and pizza. I myself am not a huge pizza fan but the spouse and kiddos are. The gentleman behind the counter, Eli helped us out and gave us excellent customer service. He answered a few questions for us, told us his favorite pizza (Baja) which I really wanted but the rest of the family are boring and I wouldn't be able to finish it myself. We ended up getting a larger sized pepperoni pizza and the General Hitchcock calzone. We asked for extra sides of marinara, ranch and a pineapples, they were very accommodating. Their marinara wasn't overly acidic, I thought it had a hint if sweetness to it, which was nice since my calzone was higher in sodium with all the different types of meats in it. I really did enjoy my calzone and the bite of pizza I had; they have wonderful pizza dough. Kids and I are a huge fan of ranch, and they've got the good stuff! Atmosphere was nice and loud, to be expected with a pizza joint selling alcohol. I did find it nice they had a little kiddie corner where my kids got to play with a few toys while waiting for our food to arrive. We also found out through Eli they do have dessert options, cheesecake, tiramisu and house made ice-cream. Unfortunately, we were extremely full and had left overs to take home, so no dessert. One dislike was their napkins though, I know it sound funny but I felt like I had to use 10x the amount that I needed to, rather than if they just spent money on a good brand I'd use one. Our first time here was a mix of experiences. First of all I want to highlight the personable interactions with the counter staff. The two young ladies were pleasant and helpful. The interior was a basic industrial aesthetic. It appeared clean. It was fine. We came in mid-day, so it was not busy. The issues we had were with the food itself. I had a Dragoon IPA from the tap and all I can say was it tasted off and a little flat. My calzone was underbaked and doughy/raw. The gluten free alfredo pasta was bland, under sauced, and ultimately created an upset stomach after consuming. The wings were ok, no issues there. We are unsure if we will return. Great experience with the front end, but the consumables were a big miss for us. read more

Not busy , my son wanted a slice of pizza and they said they had one left and then said too burnt to serve it - he ended up with chicken pesto sandwich which as mediocre - only ate 1/2 - I ordered greek salad so bitter I could not eat it could not tell if it was the lettuce or onion - sent back and then the clerk said it was the dressing - refunded our money - ate 1/2 of a meatball sub - again mediocre - not fresh meatballs kinda dry and overcooked. For the price I think go somewhere else, they need to really evaluate their cooks. read more

I noticed this location the other night when I was driving down Broadway. It looked impressive so we made it a point to stop in for a bite to eat the first chance we got. Like most new places, this has a slight "warehouse" or "industrial" feel to it, and that's all cool. There's a bar available with full service food available at the bar. Otherwise, you order at the counter, pay, and get a number and they bring out the food to your table. The person behind the counter taking orders seemed disinterested in being there. He was marginally friendly and fairly courteous but nothing remarkable other than the vibe leaning toward disinterest. The beer selection is very good, by the way. Kudos to that. Menu prices are a touch higher than expected but nothing unreasonable. The portion sizes are good for the price. If you order an appetizer, in our experience it'll come out the same time as your food. The food delivery portion of the experience was a bit behind the ball. The kitchen seems slow. We had a couple of sandwiches, the chicken fingers appetizer, and a couple of the pasta dishes and it took over 30 minutes to get to the table after we sat down. And like most order at the counter places, they prompt you to add a tip with the default falling on either 20 or 22 percent (I can't remember). I always find that weird and uncomfortable when I'm standing at the counter ordering, fetching my own drinks, and then plopping a number on the table, but it's part of the NuAmerica sort of thing we have going on. Not a fan and I went with a different number. The food was good and as mentioned, the portions are good sized. There's a bit of heat to all of the sauces that were involved with our meal, so be prepared for that. I don't know if I'd rush back to go again but I wouldn't rule out another experience at the place. read more

This place is really close to my cousin's place and I guess at one point they sponsored the basketball team he was coaching. The pizza was good, and it includes fountain drinks in the price! This is the first place I've been to that does this and I think it is a great idea and generous concept! There are tons of tvs that have sports on. We watched the second half of the Chiefs/Bills game, so it was nice to watch football, eat pizza, and drink soda and beer. Speaking of the beer, they have a VERY impressive craft beer and cider selection. It appears to be expertly curated with a little bit of everything from a little bit of everywhere. There were a bunch of beers I'd never heard of or seen before. It took me like 5 mins to digest all the offerings. I asked about a beer with octopus in the name and was offered a sample, it was good, so that is what I went with. My cousin had a cherry pie sour, and he really liked it. That sounds kinda crazy, but he said it was good. There were probably at least 30 different choices, maybe even 40. I feel like they should do some more advertising (maybe they do) on their beer selection. Someone there obviously takes their beer very seriously and there are probably a lot of people out there that don't know about Bear Canyon. There is outdoor seating available, you can order by the slice. They have self serve to go boxes available and the staff was all very welcoming, helpful, and service friendly. Great spot overall. Definitely coming here again next time I visit my cousin. He says that they go here often. read more

Love love love the ambiance at Bear Canyon Pizza. The outdoor space is perfect for hanging out with friends or letting kids have a little more space to roam, a huge jenga kept our kiddos entertained. Food came out quickly and staff was very attentive. We stopped by BCP for dinner. It was a rare weeknight that was on the rainy side but not enough to stop us from grabbing a table on the patio. I hadn't been here before but ordered the cauliflower nachos and a Hefeweizen/wheat ale. We were a party of 4 and there were a couple other tables but that's about it. The food took a while to come out and each dish was pretty staggered, leaving the last of our party waiting quite a while before their food was served. The cauliflower was pretty good but the lemon seemed unnecessary. Another cup of dip would have been great tho! Overall decent place. Wasn't impressed with how long it took the food to come out but I'm sure we'll go again read more

The one bright spot was the fried cauliflower nachos which were crispy but light with a nice topping combo. My husband's meatballs were kind of tough and overly garlicky and the sauce was acidic. My bear claw smash burger was dry and missing one of the advertised toppings. ALSO... I had the option of a single, double, or triple patty BUT no one (including the manager) could tell me what size the patties are. Horrible Service! Time gram that was given ended up being more than double. When they FINALLY called my name- the pizza was burnt! Food delicious and very generous portions. My order is always the Sky Island Pizza...enough for a couple meals. Server-Jessica was outstanding...from making sure the table was level-to taking our order-serving us-making sure we had everything we needed. Ambiance-great spot for seniors to hold a party....restuarnat is tasty decorated. Televisions are not blaring....our table was set up and ready when we came at 1230. Our time today at BCP was a baby showering for our friends becoming grandparents. They were tickled pink with their food and gifts. Absolutely love Bear Canyon pizza! We've been to the Tanque verde and Broadway locations. We actually had our rehearsal dinner here before our wedding and they were extremely accommodating to our group. The pizza is phenomenal and so are the chicken tenders! read more

Broadway Location: Pizza and Wings are tasty. I really enjoy their beer selection. However, the restaurant smells like they have a serious problem with their sewer system. I will say the pizza overall was good-crust and toppings, the sauce is so so. While food quality and taste highly matters, a bad customer service experience can ruin an entire meal. The service has a lot to be desired for. We ordered ahead of time to have our pizza ready and when we got there is was delivered to another table. No apology just rudely told and we should be happy because the new pizza will come out hot and fresh. After that, same attitude met with any questions regarding drinks, to go boxes-anything felt like an inconvenience. Would not suggest this place with its current staff service. read more
