Green Berry Crunch
Steve A.

Good bowls. If you like fruit they have it here. Whole Nectar has juices and smoothies. It also has bowls. There's plenty of fruit to try. Bowls are the main thing here. It has some good stuff. This isn't a big place but there's plenty to choose from though. All kinds of healthy fruit. The açaí is the best superfruit. I like the Green Berry Crunch. It's about $9 for most bowls. This comes topped with blueberries, coconut, and granola. I would come here more often if not for the cost. It can get expensive. This is a good healthy place though.

Whole Nectar is literally a hidden gem. It's tucked away in the parking garage entrance for 1125 Lawerence Street across from Club Form. Everything is always fresh. During the summer I stop by at least once a week to get a refreshing treat to kickstart my day. They're quick for a smoothie shop too. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They're excellent about helping with different modifications for those of us who have dietary concerns. I love the focus on health and fresh foods. I have yet to try any of the bowls, but they always look so good. I have tried several of the smoothies, but really love the pitaya smoothie. I tried the Green Dream during my visit today, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's one of their premium smoothies, and it did not disappoint. Despite the veggies, it wasn't too vegetal, which is what I loved about it! I did go around 10:30AM and it definitely got a little busy for the mid-morning rush, but normally when I go by, it's maybe one or two people ahead of me.

I feel like it's hard for a smoothie place to let you down or wow you. It's a pretty simple concept and who doesn't like fruit?! However, Whole Nectar found a way to break through the middle ground and seriously impressed me. The charm started with the location. It's a small little shop, tucked away behind the Chase building. It felt like a secret gem. The menu is expansive and usually it's to tough to decide between one or two options but I really struggled here with a few. I ended up getting the Green Berry Crunch which was sweet, crunch delicious and refreshing. The price is pretty reasonable too, especially when you consider they throw in chia seeds/flax seeds and protein.

I didn't really love what I got here (green smoothie) but it was exactly what I ordered so I really can't complain. The prices are reasonable and I liked how they have a customizable smoothie option too. They definitely have a nice array of both fun and healthy smoothies, which was nice because it caters to whatever you'd be looking for.

The best (natural) Green Matcha Tea Breakfast Smoothie in the state of Colorado!!!

The Matcha Green Tea Smoothie w/ kale and Flax seeds was excellent! The Detox Shot w/ Apple, Lemon and cayenne was exactly what was needed after a long night!!!! When in arrived, I was greeted by an cheerfully, inviting woman. My wait time was about 10 mins total because there were 2 customers in front of myself. The drinks were outstanding! When I return to Denver, I'll make sure to "Check In" after my long nights and early starts!!!!

I don't throw around the word "franchise" lightly. But I walked out of Mango Mango Dessert on Colorado Blvd genuinely researching whether I could open one in centennial or south area. That should tell you everything. The crepe cake is what got me. Thin crepe after thin crepe, stacked with cream, and somehow light enough that you don't feel like a monster for finishing it. We also grabbed some to bring home... which lasted about 20 minutes if I'm being honest. Perfect end of night dessert. Here is the thing though... this place doesn't feel like it was built for an American audience. It feels like someone picked it up directly from Asia and just set it down on Colorado Blvd, completely intact. The flavors, the presentation, the whole experience... it's the real deal. Not a watered down approximation of what Americans think Asian dessert tastes like. The actual thing. Now the lines. They are long. At all hours. And the answer is yes... people just love it this much. A line that long is usually trying to tell you something. Go. Just bring a bag if patience.

Not the icky too sweet, too sour that I taste in others. The hummus also tasted very freshly made and was good, but they did not put anywhere near enough on the board. The ratio was so bad, it was like 1/4 cup of hummus and 8 triangles of pita, not to mention if you were to dip anything other than the pita in the hummus. It really needed like 3 to 4 times the amount of hummus I got. Then, they're weren't any vegetables to dip other than pickled beets. Something like carrots, celery, radish, cucumber, tomato... anything! The olives are a nice side bite, I love olives, but you need more veggies. The price for that was way overpriced and that was their "happy hour" deal, too. Ok, come on now! They also have some cocktails and wine for $5 - 6 for HH so, that is a good deal -- daily 3-5pm. The patio outside is pretty large. But, ps you not supposed to leave with your drink whether inside or outside. Terminal bar you can wander more on the inside.
