Looking for a healthy breakfast option while in for a conference, I stopped by and got the aloha bowl with protein. It was very quick. And I admittedly don't eat a ton of acai bowls, as I usually get sick of it halfway through, I really enjoyed this bowl. Firstly, it wasn't a overly large bowl, some places will give you a ton to justify the price, but I prefer this size where it fills me up without making me sick of eating the same thing over and over again. The fruit was fresh and more importantly the granola was fresh and crunchy, which provided the perfect contrast to the acai portion. This isn't a big place but there's plenty to choose from though. All kinds of healthy fruit. The açaí is the best superfruit. I like the Green Berry Crunch. It's about $9 for most bowls. This comes topped with blueberries, coconut, and granola. I would come here more often if not for the cost. It can get expensive. This is a good healthy place though. read more

Whole Nectar is literally a hidden gem. It's tucked away in the parking garage entrance for 1125 Lawerence Street across from Club Form. Everything is always fresh. During the summer I stop by at least once a week to get a refreshing treat to kickstart my day. They're quick for a smoothie shop too. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They're excellent about helping with different modifications for those of us who have dietary concerns. I love the focus on health and fresh foods. I have yet to try any of the bowls, but they always look so good. I have tried several of the smoothies, but really love the pitaya smoothie. I tried the Green Dream during my visit today, and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's one of their premium smoothies, and it did not disappoint. Despite the veggies, it wasn't too vegetal, which is what I loved about it! I feel like it's hard for a smoothie place to let you down or wow you. It's a pretty simple concept and who doesn't like fruit?! However, Whole Nectar found a way to break through the middle ground and seriously impressed me. The charm started with the location. It's a small little shop, tucked away behind the Chase building. It felt like a secret gem. The menu is expansive and usually it's to tough to decide between one or two options but I really struggled here with a few. I ended up getting the Green Berry Crunch which was sweet, crunch delicious and refreshing. Yummo! I was in Denver for work and knew the hotel buffet food wouldn't agree with me, so I was thrilled to come across this lovely little spot. On my first visit, I had the Almond Bliss with coffee and I don't what was in it, but it had me zipping around like a lunatic and I'm not normally sensitive to coffee. I also had a detox shot which was large and deliciously spicy. On my second visit, I had the Almond Bliss again, but with dark chocolate (which they said was a powder), and spinach. Once again, super tasty and this time I didn't feel like Speedy Gonzalez, FTW. Smoothies were super reasonably priced, right around $5-6. Kinda hard to get to while the construction is ongoing in the adjacent structure and not well advertised so hard to spot but worth going the extra mile to track it down :) Prices: reasonable for the quality and size of açaí bowls we ordered. Food: we both tried different signature açaí bowls which were absolutely fantastic. The açaí was tasty and well made. The toppings were super fresh and complemented everything very well. Instead I got treated VERY rudely before even getting to place my ordering and ended up walking out, which I have never done in my life! There was a group of 4 men waiting on there order being prepared by 1 dark haired woman. I understand she was busy, the iPad where you check out was turned and looked to have the menu in there. And the lady didn't acknowledge my presence for a good 3 whole minutes and a line was forming behind me. Not knowing if I was supposed to place my order on the iPad I started to use it so I wasn't holding up the line or her. She then abruptly said "can you please not do that" not that bad I get it, could have been avoided and I wasn't trying to do anything but place an order. Then I tried to explain and apologize and she kept saying "can I please take your order" because she didn't give a damn and wanted me to feel bad or just be bitchy. The ingredients are high quality, the combinations of flavors are unique (but delicious!) and you won't find unhealthy frozen yogurt (aka sugar bomb). I tried Whole Nectar Smoothie and Juice Bar today for the first time. It is around the corner from my new apartment and I was looking for a warm, healthy breakfast. I got the oatmeal bowl. When I got to my office about 15 min later, I opened the container and the oatmeal was so thick and dense I couldn't stir it at all! I slowly added warm water and got to about a whole cup of water until I could thin it out enough to stir. It was still dense and flavorless though. Also, it was not steel cut oats as advertised. It's regular rolled oats. I ate a few bites but it was so bad I didn't finish it. I was very hungry so I ate some of the almond butter and banana I could salvage that wasn't mixed in but I couldn't eat the rest. It was gross and a complete waste of $8. Maybe the smoothies are better but I will be telling my neighbors and coworkers not to waste their money here. read more

Such a great find! It's a little difficult to get to with all the construction around the front of the building, but it is well worth the trek. They have inexpensive yet quality smoothies and acai bowls for those looking to save a buck!
