Really good bowls but they are more dessert than healthy. If you are into açaí bowls then you know that some spots make them more healthy and clean and others more dessert like. My bowl today was very sweet and tasted like maybe the juice that they use in the base has added sugars. Very good but not exactly what I was looking for. They do make their own in house peanut butter so that was my fave part! The service was fast and friendly. They explained the addition of toppings clearly. After 5.5 years in Denver, Rush Bowls and Super Republic continue to be my favorite places in a Denver to get an Acai bowl. Have never had an unsatisfactory bowl here. My only gripe is that the shredded coconut they use is coated in sugar, which is really unnecessary and kills my impression that these bowls are healthy. Team is generous with toppings and it feels like going to Cold Stone the way you get to build your bowl. They even have ready-made frozen bowls for dogs. Adorable! read more

Coming from California, I know what a good acai bowl is. Rush Bowls ... you're alright. The first thing to throw me off: usually acai bowls never have yogurt, but a lot of the preset options had yogurt placed in them. Obviously you can ask to remove the yogurt if you'd like, but it's just the fact that they have yogurt as an option is weird lol. I'm an acai connoisseur so I was setting myself up for a challenge walking into an acai bowl establishment not alongside the beach, in the middle of the country, in Denver LOL. Compared to the legit acai bowls that I know and love, Rush Bowls is definitely half the size. Luckily, me and my boyfriend ate a late and hefty lunch so we wanted something small and light for dinner so this was just the right amount. Had we chose to have this as a meal (like we do in California, since they're much larger and have more toppings to help fill you up, AND for the same price), we would've probably been extremely disappointed. Nonetheless, we ended up ordering the Beach Bowl (acai) and the Seasonal Dragon Bowl (pitaya). Sadly, they only top the bowls with granola ... c'mon, even Jamba Juice at least throws a few pieces of fresh fruit on top. They didn't taste good or bad, it was just meh.
