He's about 9lbs of fur and fury and thinking about getting him groomed had me in fear for the groomers life. Per my vets suggestion, I gave him s but of a sedative and took him and Spruce over to Kristi at Happy Tails. I was expecting to get a phone call (and later a lawsuit) about how the little guy tried to assassinate Kristi, but my fiancé returned with them later that day and they were clean, cuddly, fluffy and in cute little bow ties. Although my cats aren't "my cat from hell" worthy, the little guy is quite troublesome and if Happy Tails was able to tame the little beast I'm quite confident they can handle your pets with ease.

The website has price listings, and their pricing seemed really reasonable. The process was so seamless. They're quite booked up so definitely book in advance, and they have a cats only grooming day on Tuesdays. I took my cat in at the scheduled time and they were ready for him on the dot. Easy paperwork, and they told me it'd be about an hour before I get a callback when he'd be ready. My cat doesn't even like it when I pick him up, but the team knew exactly what their doing and I can tell my cat was so happy and chill after getting a bath, brush, and nail clipped. He also smelled so good! Was very happy for my first ever experience taking my cat to a groomer, so I would definitely come back here in the future and recommend this place to my friends in the area.

After he left his previous groomer anxious, scared, and withdrawn; I knew that I had to find a new groomer. A friend referred me to bring him to Rosa, who turned out to be so wonderful I am sad I hadn't found her sooner!!! First off, finding it might be tricky. This place is located in the back of a pet store, NYC Pet. It works out if your four legged friend wants to shop afterwards. If only they had grooming and shopping consolidated for humans. HA! The great thing I love about this place is that when you walk into the glass room, there is a cute little fence that encloses the grooming area, but it is in plain sight and you can see how they take great care of their furry clientele here. The previous groomers I have been to take them to the mysterious back room where you can't see anything and your dog can't see you. Killer gets nervous when I leave him in a strange places. I guess you could call him a major mama's boy. When she began grooming him, he was quite at ease to be able to see I was nearby. In no time at all, he forgot I was there and I was starting to think he found a human girlfriend. He was in love with her! He is usually very fussy and will be a stubborn brat, but for her he was being very good. Killer got the works and got the "Boo" cut with a lion tail, a shower, anal glands, and his nails cut. I was so impressed at how well his cut came out. It was the best haircut he has had in his 9 years! She even cleaned out his ears and trimmed the inside very well; that which is something that many groomers tend to ignore, overlook, or just don't do it well. I was pleased that the hair was very evenly trimmed in all areas and a week later, it has grown out very well. Okay, so I had to travel to the other side of Brooklyn, but I will continue to do so in order to make my dog happy. It is SO important to trust your groomer. After all, you drop them off with this person for hours and even though your dog cannot speak, you will always just know whether or not your dog likes someone. Rosa truly cares about animals and you can tell by the way she connects with them and speaks to them soothingly. She was so gentle with him and his opinion of her truly showed. He used to be shaky after leaving the other groomers and anxious to go home to sulk in his bed. After his session with Rosa, he kept trying to go back into the store! He was so happy and perky, I was surprised at his behavior. It was clear Killer felt good about himself and he was strutting his stuff like he was a model. Then, he was trying to follow her around like they're new best friends. He gets clingy and I tell him the girls don't like that, but he doesn't listen. What can I say, the boy's in love. BOTTOM LINE: Rosa is amazing! My dog and I are so happy. It was money well spent and her prices are reasonable. However, for the great experience and Killer's happiness, I feel like that makes it a great deal. You will not regret bringing your four legged best friend here.

The owner, Vee (unsure if I'm spelling this right/wrong) made us feel so welcome and assured us our dog was in great hands. He had a second groomer who was helping out when needed and learning at the same time. He also let us know that instead of clipping, they do doing nail grinding and as a plus, it's better when dogs have dark nails. We appreciated being able to view the experience and also get this insight. The process was indeed smooth and quick and our pup left happily. We will definitely be coming back for future nail filings. Thanks so much!

Unfortunately I can't say the same about the receptionist. She needs an class in customer service!! Very rude and unprofessional. Spoke to me very nastily. The other person waiting in the lobby told me I should write a review on yelp as she could not believe the rudeness either. I'm not sure who the owner of this establishment is .. not sure if it is a person named Shawn but if it is you might want to find a nicer and more tolerant professional person to run your front desk. Especially since there are plenty of other places to bring your dog that are on par with your pricing or a little less.. I will be taking my dog elsewhere .
