This place is located on a quiet street in uptown Whittier. There's free parking in front on the street or a free parking structure directly across. The place is small on the outside but seems bigger on the inside. It's super clean and gives off a relaxing vibe. The massage room has a wall of battery operated candles that give off that ambient lighting and the soothing music is the cherry on top. Liz is so sweet. Talking to her feels like talking to an old friend. She's knowledgeable and good at what she does. The first session I did, I just got the facial massage, but during my session she learned I was post op and suggested the chin contour treatment which comes with red light therapy to promote healing and another machine that uses heat to help tighten the skin. The massage feels like a good type of pain. I know she's working her magic and I leave Agave with my jawline snatched. I love how she suggests things I can do while at home, in between sessions. And she makes sure I'm doing my part to help myself heal. I can't wait to be fully healed and try the other treatments they offer. Presenting the gift card, the female masseur shifted her mannerisms and guided him to the room. With no further direction and no blanket for cover she entered after 10 mins of waiting and starts the massage. Not 2 mins in enters another costumer. Being the only masseuse there, she tends to the man with cash and puts him in the room next store and try's to pass my friend to someone else. She tried to call for back up so my friend would have to wait. After refusing to wait, my friend tried to explain that he had an appt. The lady then goes next door and apologizes to the guy and sends him off. She then comes back, coldly finishes the massage within 45 mins. My friend not only lost time but didn't get to enjoy what is suppose to relaxing due to the constant interruption. I had booked a massage service with Lisa the night before via their website - if you book a service, they waive the $40 admission fee. My friend was still able to book a scrub service when she went at 9am the same day. Inside is pretty spacious and clean. You are given 2 small towels, 1 larger towel, a set of t-shirt and shorts, and your locker wristband. Shoes go in a small locker and clothes go in a larger locker. It is recommended to shower before hopping into any of the pools. I did like their soap and other amenities they provide. Smells very nice. My only complaint is that they didn't have towels for you to grab freely if needed. I understand you can head to the front desk but it seems like a hassle to have to put on clothes and unlock the shoe locker for your shoes just to step a few feet outside for another towel. It'd be great if they had a space where guests can grab it on their own or have an employee be giving them out inside. The main lobby is really nice and pretty. It was very quiet and peaceful early in the morning. They have couches, recliners, mats in the lobby. I did a bit of light reading before my massage with Lisa. Lisa is fantastic and did a great job with the deep tissue massage. Afterwards, my friend and I wandered into the different rooms to relax. We did see a dead cockroach outside one of the rooms and we alerted a staff member in the kitchen who promptly disposed of it. Once the massage started, she did a kind of body scan and she worked on all my tense areas. It was a deep tissue massage that definitely hurt but was very worth it. She made sure to ask if the pressure was okay each time it got intense and I told her yes (I can handle pain), I'm sure that if I asked to go softer she would but I was just letting her do her thing and trusting the process. I wanted to see what it was like the first time since I'll be returning for more sessions. This massage was nothing like the "regular" massage you get at one of those massage parlors where they have a routine and go about the appointment. Nancy took the time to focus on areas that I didn't even know needed to be worked on and I felt like complete jelly afterwards. She even did some cupping (my first time) and used this vibrating massage pad (heaven), my nose got stuffed halfway through and she put on some eucalyptus oil to open up my airways (very thoughtful). Nancy seems very intuitive to what your body needs so I'm sure that each massage she gives is going to be individualized to your body. She was also very informative about aftercare and what my body will be experiencing the following days and she was right. I literally dream about eating the food and drinking the drinks there. The spa itself is what i would rate pretty decent at a 3.5/5. I came here with my girlfrends to do a scrub. I think they packaged a deal where you can get a scrub and a 30 min massage for just a tad more. For my first time scrub experience.. it was an experience for sure and you have to really love and be comfortable with your body. When you check in, you will receive your locker key, uniform, and can request for toothbrush and razor as needed. Next you put your shoes and then your belongings and strip down! The wet sauna area is FULL nude. And you'll see people walking around naked in the locker room. You will be required to shower before you get into the hot tubs or sauna rooms. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You can bring your own as well! Compared to other spas i've gone to, the have a bar soap and some decent shampoos. I just think its weird to have a communal bar soaps around. I tried to find the soap bodywash. The hot tubs were soo relaxing as well as the steam rooms. I felt all more pores opening. There is also a cold plunge for those who like that. If you are doing a scrub they will call your number (your key number) and lead you to the scrubbing tables. They are separated stalls but its in an open room. There will be a korean aunty in a swimsuit that will instruct you to turn front back side to side as she starts scrubbing you. When you get to the point of no flacks given, life is so relaxing. I let aunty scrub me down and descale me like a fish and I watched all my dead skin melt off. I do have to say they get pretty close to the crotch area and also pretty close to your crack. It caught me by suprise as I didnt think they'd go there but they are respectful and will put a towel in your nether regions. But literally no area was not baby skin smooth afterwards. What also caught me by suprise was it also included a hair wash and a freshly grated cucumber facial. I left feeling so good and i dried off, uniformed and met my friends at the common area. Common room is really relaxing and "room temp" and then you can increase in temp with the different rooms they have. There is a relatively room temp room (bamboo) and a cold room (which i love, basically a freezer). You can order drinks and snacks to the common room via kiosk. When we got hungry, we had to exit through the front desk area and enter the restaurant. And again the best food i've ever had and drinks. We were 3 girls and ordered 2 things. Bossam and the galbitang and STUFFED was an understatement. We ate so much and had enough to take home. We went back to spa and came back for their bingsoo which was so good! Special shoutout to the rice water tea and the peach fruit tea. SO GOOD. Spa itself, I do wish some amenities are updated. But the restaurant is really the reason why I keep coming to this spa.

I left feeling so much better, with the pressure in my back relieved and the discomfort greatly reduced. In the past, I have gone to Jamie for bronchitis, lower back pain, and knee pain.
