Wow, if you ever stay or gamble at the commerce casino do yourself a favor and check out the meridian day spa. Hubby and I checked in early before his company event and had a few hours to spare and decided to check out their day spa. It's $35 for up to 5 hours, separate men & women's area with jacuzzi, cold plunge, dry sauna, steam room, theatre room and quiet room. I have to admit my ignorance for not having known that this quality place has been in operation for 20+ years in the most unexpected of places to me -- Commerce!!! The spa and its customer service was top of the line from the moment of booking the reservation to being at the spa. Plan on spending at least three hours to totally unplug and give yourself the invest of "me time." Meridian is situated within the Commerce casino but it's also designed to be private and independent. I went to the spa a few months back....the sauna was dirty and had food floating in it. It was gross.

I walked into my appointment on a Sunday around 5pm, and the reception staff were awaiting my arrival and greeted me by name. I was given a tour of the spa and provided a spa bag with robe and slippers. I had about 20 minutes before my massage appointment, so I was told I could enjoy the spa facilities until then. They have a quiet room with sofas and low lighting, a full vanity with amenities, a theater room with lounging sofas and streaming on a large flatscreen, and a wet room, containing a jacuzzi, a steam room, sauna, showers, and private tubs. My massage was incredible, Yocelin left me sore but I felt refreshed and recharged! Massage therapists are open to feedback during your session for customization. Next, I had a 30 min private soak in a clawfoot tub with vanilla orange bath bomb. This was a great follow up to the massage- and I had the whole spa to myself! Overall a luxurious experience, I would love to return for a couples massage. read more

I'm now a member and get a massage charged for $84 monthly. I can upgrade to a facial and pay the difference, $12. The girls at the front desk are lovely and check on you throughout your stay. You can order food from the casino and have it delivered. Enjoy your food in the media room or quiet room. There's also hot tea and small treats in the lobby. The facials and massages are great too! Highly recommend this spa for many reasons. First and foremost is staff and service was great. We rented the back theater room for 4 hours. It was sectioned off for us to decorate for a bachelorette party. Staff allowed us to come early to decorate, and checked on us periodically. They provided an ice bucket as well. We brought our own food, but food from the casino restaurant is also available for order/delivery. We coordinated massages for 6 in our party, and cycled on and out of the private back room. It was a perfect, relaxing afternoon. FYI, Spa is in the casino, on the second floor. Casino has an older vibe. Only table games, and loud as expected for a casino. The first thing I would highlight is the superb customer service that the ladies provide. They are so attentive. Checking on us, making sure if we needed anything they were there to take care of it . Secondly, the cleanilness. I have been to many spas, but Meridian is always clean and well maintained with towels, robes slippers and showering supplies . This was a true hidden gem where you could get a 90-minute massage for $99! I just called to make an appointment and they no longer do 90-minute massages. Now their 80-minute massage is $172!! Ten minutes less for nearly double the price! I booked a 50-minute massage for $120. This was a spa that was in the casino. They have food delivery but I wasn't impressed by the food. They had little options and pretty pricey for the meals. I got a salad and it was really small for the price. I like that you can order champagne from the bar and have it delivered to the spa. There is a wet spa and dry sauna. They have Jacuzzi and a cold Jacuzzi. They have changing rooms and robes and sandals. They also have lockers. I had a massage and they came defined me when my massage is ready. They took me upstairs and it was a very nice and relaxing massage. This is a great place to go with your friends because you can go for about four hours while waiting for your massage. Oh and they also have a movie room. There is also a quiet room for meditation. I've been a regular client of Meridian for the past few years. Unfortunately, it's gone severely down hill. My visit for a massage last week wasn't the best experience due to the deteriorating conditions of the women's locker room, showers and changing area. Beforehand, I tried calling to book my appt during normal business hours and the voicemail came on. I attempted to use the online booking system and kept getting an error message. I finally booked my appt (never actually received a return phone call) and when I arrived at the spa, I was stunned at the number of "out of order" signs there were on the lockers. There were two clients already there struggling to open them and figure out how to properly lock them, but very few actually were operational. Several staff were on duty, but the trash cans were overflowing, there were shoes and random spa bags on the changing bench, ceiling panels were open/hanging, and I ended up grabbing the last two towels. No attendant was visible in the locker room or sauna area the entire time I was there. The showers were also unattended. The plastic wall soap dispenser in the shower farthest on the right near the soaking tub has been broken for months. It's a safety hazard. The shower farthest on the left had an empty body- wash pump, and a previous client was lady-like enough to leave clumps of her hair and a pair of clear contact lenses smeared on the shower wall. I've also sent a few messages to the Meridian Instagram account and never received a response. My massage was great as usual, but the conditions are starting to bother me, especially when I know what a stellar environment this used to be. read more

I've been coming to this place for a few years then stopped when they closed for COVID. Recently I found out it opened again and I had to pay a visit. They no longer had my girl Noelle who was AMAZING but I had a really bad kink in my neck I couldn't shake so I booked with Jacqueline. She was so good! She focused exactly where I told her I needed the work and she really helped. She communicated well especially when asking about pressure etc. She made sure I was comfortable and her hands are MAGIC. Went back a week later for another massage with Jacqueline and took my mom!! My mom had some pain in her arm and Araceli helped her with that. I was so happy, my mom was able to rotate her arm which she hadn't been able to do in a long time. Facilities are always clean and so relaxing. They have a membership now which I have not bought into but honestly you can't beat the price even if you go once a month you've already saved money! Well to start I had high expectations due to where this spa is located in the casino. But to be honest it was great experience my masseuse was so rough on my shoulder n neck I mean did not even ask me how the pressure was. Next she stretched my neck so much I had to tell her to stop! I told her to ease up and she continued the same. It was such a disappointment!
