He routinely failed to have my Rx's filled unless I followed up with him multiple times - I've never had this issue with a doctor. On one occasion, his failure to timely call-in my Rx resulted in my having to wait 45 days to have it refilled due to a nationwide shortage (the pharmacy confirmed that had he called it in on-time, I would have had no issue). The last straw occurred most recently, in which it took 7 days after an appointment for him to call in the Rx for a medicine (for which lack of access could be life-threatening), despite following up with his office 3 times and them failing to call me back after saying they would. It wasn't until I stopped by in person that he finally filled the Rx. This office was an absolute nightmare.

I switched from MemorialCare 2 weeks ago due to just moving to the area and understanding their system and navigating the administrative process has been a real learning curve. I haven't seen an MD yet as my two visits so far has been with NPs. I have my first visit with an OB MD in two weeks and the PCP OB in three weeks, and hope everything will be smooth going forward.

So many things wrong with this practice. First, I called twice within two months and left messages…read morethat I wanted to establish care with Dr. Lizotte. My calls were never returned. Second, I finally went IN PERSON to the clinic, and told his front staff that I wanted to establish care. I filled out all their paperwork. They told me I had to sign a form agreeing to appear for my appointment a FULL 30 MINUTES prior to the appointment, or the appt. would be forfeited. I found that to be highly unprofessional as I have never known a doctor to call you out of the waiting room on time for any appt. and they do not allow cell phone usage in the waiting room, so you need to sit there and just wait. When I showed up 35 minutes early for my first appt. they had yet another form they wanted me to sign, a "voluntary form" for a medical group that was different than Seaside Medical Group. Since the form said that "signing this authorization is voluntary. My treatment, payment, enrollment or eligibility for benefits will not be conditioned upon my authorization of this disclosure", I declined to sign the form. I was then immediately told I would not be seen by the doctor and given all my forms I had previously signed BACK to me. All that time, waiting for this doctor to give me the privilege of treating me. I was simply there to establish care, I have no medical issues, no need for RX, nothing. I walked out and will establish care elsewhere. By the way, both times I was there, there was NO ONE in the waiting room. It doesn't seem like a real clinic at all.

I wanted to look more refreshed for another event I had planned earlier in the week and so I decided to go in early for botox. I initially had a positive first impression of this office. The doctor is a family physician who also offers cosmetic treatments like Botox and lasers. I came in specifically for Botox, and although he recommended more units than I usually receive for my crow's feet area, I agreed, trusting his judgment and hoping for good results. He even asked me to return in two weeks for a follow-up touch-up. Unfortunately, within days, I noticed no improvement at all in my crow's feet. I tried calling the office multiple times and received no response. I eventually went in person to have him evaluate the results. When I showed him the issue, he told me "not to smile so hard," which was surprising especially since during my appointment, the medical assistant had encouraged me to smile very hard for photos. At my two-week follow-up, I was expecting a touch-up as discussed. Instead, he recommended doubling the amount of Botox, and when I asked if I would be charged again, he said yes. This was concerning, as I have never needed that much product before, and my regular provider achieves effective results at a much lower cost. While he attempted to justify this with scientific explanations, my experience suggested that technique and anatomical precision, both critical in Botox, may have been lacking, rather than the amount used. What was most disappointing was that after this entire experience, there was no effort to resolve the issue or stand behind the results. Instead, I immediately received a reminder text invitation to a cosmetic event promoting additional services and products. Given the outcome of my treatment, this felt dismissive and a lack of professionalism and patient care. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with the results, communication, and handling of concerns. I would not recommend this doctor, especially for cosmetic procedures where experience, technique, and ethical standards are essential.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt since he runs his own practice and is only a few blocks from our home. So Dr. Perez became my primary physician for my health insurance. In 2022 Dr. Perez's office sent several reminders for my annual physical which I needed to schedule. The reason for this review is on my third visit in late 2022, I came in at 8:30am due to a very painful hand with stiches. AFTER paying for his services, discussing the 2022 physical I still needed with his friendly assistant, and then waiting ~30 minutes in increasing pain. Dr. Perez refused to help me with what was a spreading hand infection - I needed antibiotics immediately! After he refused to even look at my hand - AFTER I had paid and waited & told him how much pain I was in - I subsequently spent hours driving around looking for an urgent care that FINALLY give me the antibiotics I really needed. At this point I had puss coming out from between the stitches and my hand was burning red. Healthtopia in Leucadia came through for me! So why did Dr. Perez refuse to even look at my infected hand and provide any help (although I urgently needed antibiotics for the infection) AFTER I had already paid and met with his assitant... Because he was still unhappy ( a year later...) with his interactions and reaction with my wife during the very stressful time of COVID. I feel this doctor is not following the basic fundamental medical Hippocratic oath, "first, do no harm". When I had a spreading infection in my hand (it was burning red and puss was coming out of the stitches) and he choose to focus on his personal issues he had with my wife (from a year ago!) instead of my urgent health problem in front of him. Lastly, he said I was using him to get a quick appointment, which he did not appreciate and and another reason he would not help me with my infected hand.
