This practice has gone downhill tremendously within the last year. I was a patient of Dr. Hurd's…read morefor 8 years and occasionally would see Dr. Patel for things as well. A few months ago I went to urgent care for this chronic neck pain I was having. After doing some x-rays, the urgent care doctor said I need to go to physical therapy and have my PCP send in the referral. 4-5 days later, Dr. Hurd finally sent in my referral. After a month of physical therapy, my physical therapist requested additional visits since the insurance only gave me 7. The insurance approved more visits and just needed a signature from Dr. Hurd so I can continue with my physical therapy. It literally took her 5 days for just a signature. I also had to cancel my physical therapy appointment that week because we (me and the physical therapist) were all waiting on Dr. Hurd to take 5 seconds to sign a form. Last month I needed to pick up a lab order from Dr. Patel for not just annual bloodwork but also hormonal as well. I had already been communicating with Dr. Patel through the portal about it and she told me she would put the order though. I get to the office the day before my appointment to pick up the lab order and the front desk girls (who also rude and dismissive. The other girls who used to work there were so nice and friendly) tell me that Dr. Patel didn't send it. Just ONE lab, not the whole thing. I told them I can't reschedule my lab appointment because of it being hormonal bloodwork (and fasted too) and Dr. Patel said that it has to be done on a certain day of my cycle. And also, my naturopathic doctor (who Dr. Patel knew I saw for my condition too) was going to be reviewing the results with me in a few weeks and she has no openings for 3 months! Dr. Patel wasn't in the office that day but Dr. Hurd was. I asked the girls at the front desk if she could write up my labs and I can pick them up before the end of the day before they close. They just gave me attitude and told me to go write Dr. Hurd on the portal and there's no guarantee that she would get to my message today. Seeing how it already took 5 days for Dr. Patel to just sign a form, I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with her or her unhelpful staff. I went to Scripps urgent care just as a last resort to see if maybe they could somehow do my bloodwork and they said they don't do that kind of bloodwork there but they told me that my doctor is negligent and I should fire her. Well, I did exactly that. I went on my insurance's website and decided to join the Scripps network and found a new PCP and was able to get in the very next morning with her NP and I was able to get the bloodwork I needed (which was super convenient because the lab was just one floor up from the PCP's office. No more dealing with LabCorp and their long wait times). A month later Dr. Hurd's office calls me about collecting money for their medical records release fee. I told them that they never told me there was a fee and that also Scripps requested the records a month ago! This office as a whole just doesn't give two $#!+ about their job or the patients and it really shows. Run, don't walk away from this practice! I got treated so much better by EVERYONE over at Scripps.

Abaigail placed me on a brief hold, then she said she will ask Dr. Li if she has sent over my 2 medication orders to my local pharmacy to pick up today. Then Abagail told me that Dr. Li has just sent over her orders for my medications and I should call my Walmart Pharmacy to ask when these two medications will be ready for me to pick up sometime today. I did call yesterday and this pharmacist Wen said these 2 medications will have to be special ordered from their supplier and they should be ready for me to pick up later this afternoon. After I called this Tri-City Primary Care Office 3 times I was able to get my medication order resolved from Dr. Xiang Li.

I had a truly terrible experience with this doctor. He was condescending and dismissive about many…read moreof my concerns, including with respect to conditions for which I have received a prior diagnosis. He routinely failed to have my Rx's filled unless I followed up with him multiple times - I've never had this issue with a doctor. On one occasion, his failure to timely call-in my Rx resulted in my having to wait 45 days to have it refilled due to a nationwide shortage (the pharmacy confirmed that had he called it in on-time, I would have had no issue). The last straw occurred most recently, in which it took 7 days after an appointment for him to call in the Rx for a medicine (for which lack of access could be life-threatening), despite following up with his office 3 times and them failing to call me back after saying they would. It wasn't until I stopped by in person that he finally filled the Rx. This office was an absolute nightmare.

When I arrived the tv was so loud I forgot I was in a doctors office. Anyway I had my yearly physical recently with Dr. Wong. His compassion has also diminished. My physical exams seem to be less and less through as the years go by, Not sure if he has his hands tied since Optum took over but the quality of his care has been going down year after year. I go to a doctor for care while not often but depend on my annual physicals. On a positive note Lourdes is very compassionate and caring. She always seems to make me feel special when I visit.

The admins are all new and kind…read more Dr. Wong though I've unfortunately discovered through my visits only prescribes prescription meds with no reference to any natural remedies to supplement. I have hypertension. He never recommended me to a nutritionist either to assist me in losing weight. His best advice was for me to eat healthy and excercise more; stuff I should already know he says. All this doctor does is prescribe medication after medication. I've also taken blood work as to their recommendation and I never hear back from them nor are the results discussed with me by Dr.Wong when I go into my next visit. His nurse, Lourdes, wasnt pleasant for me to deal with as she always had something snarky to say right before measuring my bp. My results of course would be high but that's the number used for Dr. Wong to increase my dose or recommend another medication added on to what I was already taking My overall experience with Dr. Wong has been an overall disappointment. If medications don't work, he's got nothing else to give. There could have been more and better attention given to my visits and blood work results but there wasn't. I'm only relieved to part ways

This review is not about the Pediatrician with whom I have no issue. This is about the…read moreadministrative assistants. Scripps booked a telehealth appointment with my 18 year old son and didn't tell him or me, the parent responsible for payment, that preventative care telehealth visits are not covered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield. I got nailed with a $350 bill instead of a standard $35 co-pay....TEN TIMES AS MUCH for telehealth. And Scripps doesn't tell you this before scheduling telehealth visits. I had no idea telehealth was this expensive and Scripps didn't inform us of the out-of-pocket cost. The fact that BX/BS covers nothing is ridiculous, but that's a separate complaint. When I called Scripps to complain that they didn't disclose the out-of-pocket cost to the patient or parent, they claimed it was my responsibility to research it. Outrageous. There are only two options regarding the Scripps administrative assistants and neither are good: 1) They are ignorant that BX/BS, on of the largest insurance companies, doesn't cover preventative telehealth and therefore don't inform their patients out of ignorance. That's unacceptable. It's their job to know this and tell their patients. Or, 2) They do know that BX/BS doesn't cover preventative telehealth and they purposefully don't tell patients. Neither option is good. Do better, Scripps! This is terrible customer services.
