As sales associates, both Lucas and Aaron are both top notch in not only customer service, but in getting your order right every time. I've never once had an issue where my paint has been mistinted or damaged, and they're both quite friendly and cheerful when you're dealing with them. In addition to the great service, Meade Baltz has pretty much anything you'll need for your paint project on site and if not, they've another shop in nearby Joliet. Helen met with us at their warehouse to talk us through their products and share with us samples of the exact material used in their installations. Eduardo and his crew arrived promptly on the day of the install, including demo of our old counters and kitchen sink, and immediately got to work. Our new countertops and sink (final connections by others) was complete in under 6 hours! They cleaned all the demo'ed material and product up and even constructed a modified sill/ledge over our oven/stovetop better than we could have imagined. Thanks, Jake & Rachael (Western Springs, IL)

They were able to get us the exact same granite and quartz that I brought in samples of (from a larger granite place). They were really helpful with explaining the different stone and helped us make a decision based on a couple options we compared. The installation/craftsmanship is flawless. We did a kitchen island, kitchen counters, and a fireplace surround. All around awesome experience. Do not hesitate!! It's a family business and we felt very well taken care of, and much better that we went with them vs the other places we were looking at. Thank you Olivas!!!

This review is for the service department, not a store location. I called service to send someone…read moreb/c my hot tub was making noises there were not normal. I have had the hot tub for 3+ years. I knew there would be a $100 trip/travel fee and was told labor charges would apply if anything was done. The first thing the tech said to me was there was nothing wrong, nothing to fix. There was nothing extreme at that time, but it was obvious to me that something wasn't right. The tech then told me I messed up the chemicals most likely (my issue was w/sounds moving through the pipes in the hot tub and how the jets were working/blowing out water, not sure how chemicals would cause that and they were on point at the time the guy came (he didn't check so couldn't say otherwise). He stayed for another 20 minutes repeating that to me, to the point I had to ask him to leave b/c there was no point of him staying. I was shocked when I saw the invoice where he charged $30 labor. After i was told I would be notified and approve any labor before it took place ... and noting he did not do any labor, he told me it was all find, so how was there labor? When I called to complain I was told the $30 was for when he offered to clear the reminders that flash across the screen. Mind you that was not part of the original complaint, nor did I ask for it, or was I told this would be "labor". The manager at the service place didn't seem at all bothered about this scenario then offered a $30 gift card to make up for the labor charges. Great, but the fact that no one is concerned I got charged labor for "nothing is wrong" and just wants to send a gift card rather than address the issue is sad. ***Fast forward to 32 days later, my hot tub failed with flow issues and not heating (things that make the noises I called TGE out to look at and was told nothing was wrong). I call back, met with the same condescending manager who tells me since it was past the 30 days I would be charged another $100 trip fee. That close of a window, after the tech told me nothing was wrong and had to be asked to leave and charged labor services there should be a grace period when the hot tub fails. My HT broke within a few months of purchasing, but it was under warranty so no issues. So, I would definitely NOT recommend buying anything from TGE b/c once your warranty is up, they don't care and will make it extremely maddening/frustrating. I ended up calling another service to come out and fix it and that is who I will be going with. TGE has the lowest trip/travel fee, but that is probably b/c the labor charges start right after they get to your house even though they tell you nothing is wrong.. that is how they recoup the difference. They have 40 complaints in 3 years through the BBB and majority is surrounding the service department with the same complaints/stories I have. Beware.

There's aquamarine and opal earrings, peridot and garnet bracelets, diamond and pearl necklaces, emerald and ruby bands...you'll be in awe by the selection inside the long glass cases. I began going as a kid, tagging along with my dad when he would buy my mom piece of jewelry for a special occasion. I loved accompanying him and having a say in what he should get her. The last few years I've gone on my own, spending many hours trying on diamond engagement rings and wedding sets. Sue, the owner, has always been gracious (and patient) in letting me wear and admire ring after ring. Some of her rings have a good story behind them, and I always enjoy hearing where certain pieces came from, their style, etc. (Fun fact: her oldest ring is over 200 years old!) Last December, I FINALLY bought a ring from Paraphernalia, which I like to refer to as my "back up engagement ring". The antique engagement ring--dating back to the 1890s--has a row of five stones of mine-cut diamonds and alternating sapphires. It's simple, it's elegant, and--most importantly--it's from an antique from a shop I cherish. For those of you looking for a piece of jewelry, I encourage you to pay a visit to Paraphernalia before walking into any other jewelry store.
