The Dagwood

Yummy comfort food and prices not too bad. They have a special for $5 margaritas on Mondays which is awesome! Got the Coliseum fries as an appetizer which was good, but definitely needed salt. Ordered the Dagwood burger which was yummy, they don't come with any side so I ordered the fried mushrooms as a side which were really good. For a side the portion was huge and could easily serve 2+ people. Their burger portions are also extremely large as well, I took half of it to-go! Be warned though, they are a CASH ONLY establishment. Overall would come again.

Absolute best burger around - clearly you can see from the photos huge patty with a mound of sautéed mushroom . Had a side of tots which were more than enough for 2. Thankfully we heard in advance what to expect so we also split the ginormous burger too . Drinks were also very well made . Cash only but has an ATM onsite in case you forget . Definitely recommend this place!

Packed. 35-40 wait for party of 3 on Saturday nite. Unfortunately had to wait 5 mins for server to greet us. We ordered our food upon greeting & took only 8 Minutes for appetizer & then salad came then tots & lastly the pizza & burger. So that worked out just how we woulda asked! We ordered Chili Flight app which was great way to try em all. She let us sub the spicy one for an extra veggie & it came w/ large bowl of cheese plus onion & sour cream. Awesome. Shack burger w/ grilled onion & tomatoes was huge & had to cut in half to hold. Perfect cook & super tasty. The veggie pizza was nice size & pretty thick & dense. Good amount of toppings too. The tater tots was a good portion & came extra crispy per request & was nicely seasoned. The side salad was only lack luster item. At $7 it coulda used more toppings than 1 slice of cucumber & 1 tomato. The server was nice & place was lively & had the NFL games on all around. 3 of us for just over $50 w/ tip & No drinks or desserts. So it's a tad high for bar food though it all tastes good.

stopped into whiteys this father's day to celebrate, and it was awesome. I love the vibe here; you can sit inside or outside. it was obviously packed for fathers day and had quite the wait but i felt it was worth it. i only took a picture of 2 of the burgers at the table but all the portions were huge, the Maggie (mushroom heaven) and the month's saloon burger were loaded and tasted phenomenal as well although not pictured. the fries and onion rings are amazing, definitely some of the best fries around town and I would go there just for the fries! the firecracker burger came with breaded jalapenos where the menu just said jalapenos which I did not love but the server brought me a side of fresh jalapenos when I explained the confusion so that was really nice. the flavor of all the burgers was awesome, and I do not feel like you can go wrong with choosing any one of them. service was a bit slow for father's day but that's a given with how packed it was, and i enjoyed the environment and food very much. they are cash only so remember that if you plan to stop in. i cannot wait to go back and try more burgers and their famous chili!

Great service and the food was good as well. Perfect stop before a concert at Blossom. Very family friendly. Half of us got burgers and the other two a chicken sandwich and beef.

Whitney's is an old favorite place to grab a burger and beer. Went for a Valentine's dinner (who says you need fancy?). The owner even gave all the ladies a carnation for Valentine's Day. Very nice surprise! It did not disappoint. The wait was only about 15 minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive. Food was spot on and the martini was when ordering a side of fries, they are big enough for two. Remember to bring cash! No credit cards accepted.

We are from Milwaukee and were recommended this place online. They're known for their chili so we tried the coliseum fries which has the chili on top, the meat was delicious and the melted cheese added a great flavor. We split a burger which was cooked perfectly and so juicy. They also have great daily specials. Cash only.

We had planned to arrive during prime dinner time, so we made a reserved reservation through Yelp, which was definitely the right call. We started with the truffle fries, and even though I don't usually like or order crinkle-cut fries, these were outstanding. They were topped with shaved Parmesan, sun-dried tomato aioli, and truffle basil mayo and were absolutely delicious. For entrées, I had the Brandy Burger with chips, which was fantastic. My husband ordered The Pammy Melt with chips and a side salad, and the homemade ranch dressing was especially good. My younger son had the New York strip steak with sweet potato fries, finished with a bourbon maple syrup glaze that he loved. My oldest son went with the Cheeseburger Deluxe and fries, which he said was great as well. From the outside, the restaurant looks like an old house, and inside it's quite small, but very quaint, cozy, and welcoming. We did wait about 20 minutes for a table, but our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time. He checked on us multiple times, offered drinks while we waited, and kept us updated on when our table would be ready. He was kind, personable, and clearly attentive to everyone in the dining area. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a really enjoyable night. We would absolutely go back.

They also host a bunch of public events too. The night we were there there was a private fundraiser going on, but the front part of the brewery was still open to public. Staff was super friendly! You order everything at the bar. They had a good variety of beers. Food menu had some apps and flatbreads. I got the Buffalo chicken flatbread and the everything pretzel. The pretzel was good but wished it would've been a little softer. Flatbread was decent. The food wasn't bad by any means but they were nothing special either.

A menu with appetizers, flatbreads and pretzels to order. The beers were fantastic. They had a lemon shandy, and a watermelon shandy called Spitfire which was fantastic. The coffee, chocolate porter was really good as well. They had a sour ( don't like sours) and a pretty good cider as well. The food and drinks were cheap as well. The flatbreads we got were a Prosciutto and Fig and also a Hawaiian flatbread. The Fig flatbread was really good. Sweet and soothing. Better than the Hawaiian. The Hawaiian wasn't the best, way too much cheese so it weighed down the dough and made the bread soggy and floppy. The pineapple pieces were minimal and the ham was thicker than usual. A lot of breweries struggle with the food category. This place comes close. The beers were. And should be the focal point. I'm sure I will return at some point if I'm in the area. Overall 7.0 out of 10. It has 4 starts because the drinks are great so I leaned that way but it's more like 3.5 stars really.
