    Crab Stuffed Salmon
    Lizzie P.

We had dinner at Olesia's for an anniversary and would highly recommend. Very well decorated and nice ambiance with a beautiful bar area. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was awesome. We split a bowl of lobster bisque, enjoyed crab stuffed salmon and scallops for dinner (I guess we were in a seafood mood!) and then split the carrot cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and fresh, including the bread and garlic butter, and the servings were generous.

Stopped into Olesia's for a quick bite and hopefully some shareable options. This was my first time in and the vibes and ambiance of the place are fantastic. Super nice interior with a great patio that is well shaded. Our waiter was kind and knowledgeable of the menu. The menu is pretty large and do offer a variety of foods that deviate from their Eastern European cuisine if that is not what you are into. We got Olesia's platter to share which came with sausage, stuffed cabbage and pierogis. I'd say the pierogis were the best. The stuffed cabbage was a bit too rice heavy for my liking and I did not love it. We also ordered the deviled eggs which we all were not the biggest fans of as we found them a bit bland and very watery making them tough to eat. The final thing was the beet salad, it's very arugula heavy and I was wishing it was a bit larger with additional toppings rather than it mostly being arugula. This place is a bit on the pricier side and portions are not huge so just know that in case you are planning to potentially share something. Overall, Olesia's is a very cute place and offers a large menu and is definitely a place to give a go. their sausage was great and pierogis as well as the Saurkraut so those would be my recommendations! It also is a great place to sit and chat indoor or outdoor with some drinks and quick bites or full entrees.

If I could give Olesia's 10 stars, I would. Every single bite of food was outstanding; starting with the deviled egg appetizer to the entrees and dessert, just so delicious. They have a full drink menu as well. The architecture of this restaurant is gorgeous and unique, including the wonderfully decorated large patio, makes a great place for a romantic dinner. Service was fantastic, our server Justin S, was very pleasant and polite. They have plenty of vegetarian options as well which was surprising but welcome for the vegetarian in our group. Absolutely we will going to be back for sure, loved everything!

Good was all fantastic! One of the best sea bass I've ever ate. Service was all great. You could tell they have good team work. Have several different people getting us waters when needed and taking dishes when finished on top of normal waitress. Ambiance was elevated and very nice.

I really like this place, it's beautiful and the food is good. This visit we had take out, stuffed cabbages (2 orders!) and one order of pierogis. The last time I used the restroom loved their wall paper.

Such a wonderful place to dine in at. We always seem to forget about it and then there's a big time gap in between our visits there. Our latest meal did not disappoint. We had shrimp cocktail, flight of soups, the SSS entree and pork schnitzel. All were very good. Only complaint is that we wish we didn't have to ask for more bread from our server when the server at the tables next to us asked them many times. Also, just because we had leftovers, doesn't mean we are not interested in dessert. Our server could have asked but lacked in that area. That's our biggest complaint, but it won't stop us from returning for more delicious meals.

From the moment you walk in, Olesia's Taverne impresses with its ornate dining room. Every detail feels intentional, elegant, and inviting. Even before settling in, a quick stop at the spotless restroom speaks volumes about the care taken throughout the space. I chose to sit at the bar, which offers comfortable seating and a great view of the action. Although the bartender was quite busy, she eventually greeted me warmly and offered a variety of menus. While I had browsed the restaurant's website beforehand, I did notice a few subtle differences between the online menus and what was available in person... something to keep in mind if you're planning ahead. The food and drink selections are extensive, with plenty to explore. I settled on a glass of the Inscription Pinot Noir from Oregon's Willamette Valley. It was smooth, bright, and layered with red fruit and subtle spice. It turned out to be a perfect match for the 6oz center-cut filet, which was cooked beautifully and served with silky mashed potatoes, crisp asparagus, and a tangle of crispy onions. While I could have done without the onions, everything else on the plate was spot on. I also tried a side of grilled asparagus, lightly drizzled with balsamic... simple, fresh, and just the right touch of acidity to enhance the vegetables' natural flavor. Although I passed on dessert (with Country Maid ice cream just down the road calling my name), I left thoroughly impressed and eager to return. Every dish that passed by looked thoughtfully prepared and genuinely delicious. This is clearly a place worth coming back to.

We made reservations on a Friday night for dinner and to see Ronnie Clinton in the speakeasy. Easy parking, speakeasy is downstairs. We ordered the chorizo meatballs for an appetizer and they were amazing- so good we both said we would order them for dinner next time, nothing like it around. We had quick service, bartender checked on us a couple of times, our waitress was very attentive, water glasses always filled, the complimentary bread and garlic butter was delish as well. We have had the pork schnitzel and short ribs before and like the mashed potatoes they comes with. They were both excellent meals. Looking forward to come back!

This tavern honestly blew my expectations. The food was delicious, fairly priced, and the ambiance was perfect. I got the chicken wings, pirogies, and mashed potatoes. All came out very fast and obviously homemade. The service was also excellent and quick. Will definitely be coming back!!

I've eaten here a number of times in past it was fine, but recently got take out twice and it was horrid. Food tastes like chemicals. I wouldn't have gotten it a second time but my husband got it... the menu never changes and it's such heavy food, not something I desire to eat often even if good. The hot soup served in flimsy thin plastic container screams cancer, not so appetizing, nobody ate it, the hummus was a spit sized serving in a ketchup cup (lmao) the pitas burnt and hard and dry, the kids tenders and fries were way too salty for consumption, and the wedge just tasted like a Sysco wedge I can get anywhere all this way over priced. Mashed potatoes taste like chemical flare and I lost my appetite didn't want the schnitzel at this point. The ambiance of the deviled eggs was prob the best thing we got. ‍ I'll let everyone else line up to eat here bc it's not my jam.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish planning a baby shower at Olesia's Taverne of Richfield. Alina assembled a stunning balloon arch for us which made a huge statement at our event. She also baked and decorated cake pops and other desserts that went with our chosen theme. The food was delicious as always and was served with enthusiasm and good cheer. Staff was extremely helpful with event set-up and clean up afterwards. We had a group of 25 people in the VIP room, and it was a perfect fit. If you'd like to plan an event with minimal stress and assistance with attention to detail, I highly recommend you go with Olesia's Taverne!!

Stopped in for dinner on the way east for the weekend. Super friendly staff with a great menu selection. I ordered the beef stroganoff and the fiancé ordered the chicken skewers. Both were tasty but needed some salt or other seasonings. Only annoying thing is that we saw some tables received bread and we were never offered. Would definetly come back again.

They don't regularly pound their schnitzel thin enough. It's too thick. Besides that, everything we've had is great.

We had planned to arrive during prime dinner time, so we made a reserved reservation through Yelp, which was definitely the right call. We started with the truffle fries, and even though I don't usually like or order crinkle-cut fries, these were outstanding. They were topped with shaved Parmesan, sun-dried tomato aioli, and truffle basil mayo and were absolutely delicious. For entrées, I had the Brandy Burger with chips, which was fantastic. My husband ordered The Pammy Melt with chips and a side salad, and the homemade ranch dressing was especially good. My younger son had the New York strip steak with sweet potato fries, finished with a bourbon maple syrup glaze that he loved. My oldest son went with the Cheeseburger Deluxe and fries, which he said was great as well. From the outside, the restaurant looks like an old house, and inside it's quite small, but very quaint, cozy, and welcoming. We did wait about 20 minutes for a table, but our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the entire time. He checked on us multiple times, offered drinks while we waited, and kept us updated on when our table would be ready. He was kind, personable, and clearly attentive to everyone in the dining area. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and service made for a really enjoyable night. We would absolutely go back.

Upon entering for our reserved time, we were taken to our booth, and left with menus. The first clue to our experience was no one asked if we would like our coats checked. Most 'upscale' places would have asked that immediately. I suppose folding our coats and laying them on the bench of the booth would have also triggered this conversation. Nope. An agreeable server greeted us, ask what type of water we preferred, and let us know where we could find their signature cocktails. As we scanned the menu, we noticed the prices were quite high, and assumed the quality would equal the costs. $26.00 for a Tuna Tartare, and $28.00 for the Steak Tartare seem a little above market. Also, they were asking for $4.50 per half shelled Oyster. Again, pretty high for this area. I usually order a half dozen, but I was a semi cautious, having been burned by local restaurants serving very small oysters. This was no different. I ordered 4 Blue Points, ( .99 cents in the grocery) and was shocked to see 2 normal ( again, for this area) and 2 very small oysters. Burned. We also ordered the Tuna Tartare, and again, it was just ok. Uneven chunks of tuna, atop a strange scoop of avocado( which we had to mash ourselves in order to gain a reasonable mouthful. We decided to have the Tableside Caesar Salad, that's always fun. Most places that have this service, will have a dedicated Maître de or Host create this for you~ we had our over worked waitress. It was 1 1/2 hours between being seated and a salad. On a Sunday. And a VERY over rushed waitress. It wasn't pleasant, and we felt bad for her. Needless to say, the dressing was rushed, therefore the proper amount of ingredients were not acceptable. There was a shocking amount of vinegar and Worcestershire, but how could you tell this poor girl you can barely choke it down? A pork Chop was ordered, and the evenings 'special' a New Filet Trio with a 1/2 lb ( just a leg) of steamed crab- deshelled $60 for the trio and $80 for the leg!!! This is where my lesson comes in- ALWAYS ASK MRK prices, at unfamiliar establishments. My bad. We also order off of there side menu, since we were all in by now. We ordered the gloopy mash potatoes, the polenta they had to take off the bill since it was inedible, and the 4 pieces of grilled asparagus that came smothered in parmesan cheese?? (why on earth are your smothering fresh asparagus in shaved cheese??) My poor husband was 3 Barrel aged Old Fashions in ($18.00 per) and I was 2 Paper Planes ( $16.00 per and was meh) by the time was had our waitress box the entire meal, to be tossed out at home. Because we were embarrassed! At one point, a 'hostess' came over and said " sorry to interrupt, but how was everything??" Listen, she could care less how our meal was, because she directly seated herself in the 'private' dining area next to us, with a full compliment of wine bottles behind her and 3 glass walls surrounding her, and began eating her own supper. Closed off to any irritant she may experience. What absolute gall. Thank God the cappuccino machine was broken, it saved us $10.00 for one cup! Meanwhile, don't they require a dress code at his establishment? I won't say more... After paying our $500.00 bill ( for 2 ppl) we unfolded our coats, and proceeded out, with the 'hostess' engaged in what seemed to be a very personal, almost depressive conversation with a patron, and never bothered to excuse herself to send us off with even a 'thanx' ~ Oh KSL- Lesson Learned. And yes, the overworked waitress received a $50.00 tip. She was lovely and my only hope is she finds a better establishment to work in.

This experience was slightly different, and that may just be what I ordered.... My group ordered the Firecracker burgers, Maggy, side of fries and tots. Fries: delicious!! Hot and fresh cut. Its very hard to find a fry this good anymore. Tots: Also very good paired with the Whiteys hot sauce. Although, there is nothing very special about the tots. I assume they are frozen and simply reheated much unlike the fries. Burgers: It seemed to be the general theme that everyone thought their burgers were cooked just right. However the beef lacked any flavor or seasoning whatsoever. A little salt or pepper on the grill would've gone a long way here. I was disappointed as the beef is arguably the most important part. Mushrooms and onions: Also lacked any flavor whatsoever and needed some form of seasoning. Not sure if it was steaming in a crockpot all day, but it needed something more. Firecracker fried jalapeños: A complete hit and everyone thought they were fantastic. They need to add more of the special sauce also. Service was acceptable. Not many complaints or comments to be made there. Lighting was dark, and place wasn't very crowded for a Monday. Overall 6.8/10.
