They've skillfully curated a boss team of intuitive, creative professionals who listen properly and openly to who you are before they make their confident professional choices. I felt like I was collaborating with people who know what they're doing, which is surprisingly rare in the salon scope, I've come to realize. They're thorough, passionate, and practical, which I really appreciate. Christina is an excellent, innovative and passionate colorist who nailed what I needed with care, enthusiasm and subtlety. LP is a brilliant cutter who clearly held space for nuance while giving me a bold and elegant cut... meanwhile I didn't lose a ton of length, which is always a fear when your hair is as stressed out as mine was. I have been seeing Elisabeth for color for few years now. She is a true artist and able to match the color to your face complexion and color. I get a lot of compliments when I see Elisabeth. Overall she is very attentive and pays attention to the details. Painting hair is an art and should be taken seriously as one wrong move can damage the hair. Elisabeth doesn't overdue with bleach of which leaves your hair shiny and smooth. The ambiance is very nice and clean. Overall all staff are amazing. Very nice place. I had Devon and LP work on my hair, and they took a all-encompassing, scientific approach to cutting it. They asked me habits about my hair (such as how I always bring it over my shoulder) and my goals for it (how I want to grow it out along with my bangs and what types of layering I want) and took them into account when cutting it. I've gone three times now and every time I've thought "this is ok" i told the hairdresser today that I felt like there was no change in the cut and she got visibly annoyed that I wanted her to take more bulk out. Cut - Tommy Lovell has been cutting my hair for about ten years now and there is no one else that I would trust. I've had everything from long layers to a blunt bob and Tommy has not disappointed. He's also really honest and will really help you make your decision on what's doable and what's not doable. 2. Color - Elisabeth has changed the game for my double process. My hair has never been in as good condition than it has been since Elisabeth has taken over. I never have any brass or grey tones, it's always the perfect beige color. Elisabeth is also really honest on what can be done - she doesn't just say 'yes' to everything I ask for..she's knows what's best. 3. The products - I use many products that come from the salon that have changed my hair and Elisabeth and Tommy suggested them to me (not too many either..this is not a a pushy environment) Overall - I'd say that Whiteroom is a welcoming, fun, honest salon that knows what they're doing. This salon is fantastic! Elisabeth is a miracle worker! I had a horrific dye job done at a highly rated NYC salon and desperately needed some help, my hair has never been so awful and I've always taken really good care of my hair. Luckily Elizabeth fixed it right up on my first visit. I can't believe how much better she made my hair look after the first round! My hair is on the mend and looks better than I could have hoped for. Everyone is really friendly, very good at what they do and the salon itself is very modern, clean and beautiful. I booked Christina for my dye job and didn't find her to be worth the $400+ (over $500 incl tips). We were going to lighten my hair and after expressing my desire for Olaplex to ensure little damage to my hair, she gave her opinion that since my hair is pretty healthy I wouldn't see a difference with Olaplex. Ok. Then later when she checked how the lightening is going on my hair, she realized she was too aggressive with the bleach. My hair feels like straw now. I've had my hair lightened over a year ago at a different (& considerably less expensive) salon and didn't walk away with dry, straw hair. I've been seeing Jennipher for almost 10 years now for a reason. Starting seeing her when I moved to New York in 2010 at Woodley & Bunny, and now at White Room for the past 4/5 years. She's amazing at what she does, very talented and she's friendly and never disappoints me when she cuts and styles my hair. I live in Denver now and literally fly across the country to get my haircut by her 1-2 times a year atleast.
