Nice Korean bakery off of Buford Hwy in Doraville. Always fresh pastries, hot coffee, bread, cake, and a sandwich station. Good quick friendly service and usually a quiet place to talk with friends. This time we ordered the sweet potato mousse cake and a few other tasty treats with coffee.

Deciding to meet up here for a foodie first, a good friend and I were SO pleased with outing!! Having no idea what to get, we decided to get a little of everything that we got our stomachs could handle. Granted, we ordered for dine in, we ended up taking more items to-go! There's just so much to choose from. And before we were even done placing our order, we'd already planned to make a second trip, based on the menu items alone plus notable seen in the display cases. Passingly, we mentioned it was my friend's birthday and continued with our order, not realizing the surprise to come. {See photo} Now, the space itself is very welcoming with a feast for the eyes and appetite. Once seated. The atmosphere of a cozy, un-rushed cafe vibe is everywhere... Excellent for girl talk and the like! Giggling over matcha lattes, our items were swiftly prepared and quite delish. Convo's had & nibbles finished, we departed with many smiles, sated tummies, and goodies to go! Highly recommend... BON APPETIT!

Kids and I stopped here on a Saturday around 1 pm. My favorite item, the curry bread was already sold out. Daughter picked out a croissant with cookie topping and cookie on the inside She said it was tasty. We also got a cake roll that looks amazing. I recommend coming early on a Saturday to avoid disappointment!

They have a variety of pastries and baked goods that are so delicious. I absolutely loved their cookie croissant.

This is such a cute bakery to visit or study at. They do get loud and busy at times. I love getting bread here because it always tastes so fresh and they have a variety of options to choose from. Their drinks were alright but worth the price you pay, and the sandwhich was so thick and filling for $12. Each bread ranges from $3-$6ish that you can choose from and they sell drinks, cakes, and sandwiches too. Parking is limited but plenty of seats and space inside.

Brioche sandwiches were meh but their cakes are good and one of the better Korean bakeries on Buford hwy.

The baked goods were very yum. They had a good selection. The sandwiches were okay and underwhelming. Definitely one of the better Asian style bakeries in the Atlanta area. Despite the business they delivered our food pretty fast.

I go here all the time to study and get the chocolate chip croissant i think is what it's called and the mango mousse! Also has free wifi and plenty of tables to study at.

Came here for dessert after dinner! Unfortunately, most of the fresh stuff was gone, so I'll definitely have to come back earlier in the day. But I still walked out with a red bean donut and a taro bubble tea, both of which were very good. I also liked the atmosphere of this place and the numerous tables available for those gathering to have a snack or the all day camper remote worker or student.

This place is a magical haven for sweets and treats! It felt like a carb lover's Disneyland; from parties to sandwiches, this spot has it all. No wonder it was packed--everyone loves the hype. I treated myself to a California club sandwich, which was large, tasty, and filling. I'm so excited about the new location opening in Buckhead so I can try some pastries and another hot sandwich!

This place has a large selection of savory and sweet pastries and breads and innovative and fresh beverage options. The strawberry matcha had a very fresh strawberry compote. Service was quick and there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. A great place to gather or get some work done

I have been coming to this bakery for probably +20 years...to me, this bakery is OG. And it still stands up. Over the years, this bakery has truly evolved. I like Paris Baguette and Tree Story as well but...I think I still favor this bakery on Buford Hwy. Their buns have so much filling! More than the other Korean bakeries in Atlanta. And taste the best. The curry croquette weighs about a brick it has so much filling...and not too oily and greasy. They even have some vegan options. And...although prob not ok for people who are truly celiac...those with gluten sensitivity should know koreans use rice or tapioca flour in many baked goods. I have given friends who avoid gluten the tapioca and rice balls and breads and they love it. (Not saying it is safe for people who avoid gluten but just saying for some it might be ok.) On Saturday mid-morning, the bakery was packed and difficult to move around as a lot of people did not know what to do. They were just standing, gawking and making it rather difficult to shop. When I explained and showed them what to do, learned most were new people to Korean bakeries who found out through social media or something similar. Enter, grab a tray, put bakery paper on it, grab some tongs (some bakeries tongs and gloves), open the display case and pick your goody. Please, please avoid touching any other goods except the one you want. Please keep your children from picking up and touching everything as well. (Korean culture is rather not to touch unless you buy.) This is one of the best bakeries in Atlanta I truly believe. The options seem never-ending for savory and sweet goodies. Honestly, I have not eaten off the cafe food menu but I am sure they are good. I only ever get drinks and the baked goods. Also, a kind request, Korean coffee shops and cafes are where people come to sit, drink, eat and socialize. My mother and her friends still visit Korean bakeries to drink coffee and eat goodies and chat away an entire afternoon! I saw people setting up their work laptops on tables...this is not an office. Please be kind to other guests who may look for seating. Thank you.

Cute local Korean bakery with lots of variety, I was shocked on a Saturday evening. Would def return as half the inventory was gone but out of what I got to try, I enjoyed. Got almond biscuits, an almond bun, red bean bun, and sweet potato manju. All yummy and still soft at night time.

Ask the Community - White Windmill

When in the year does the menu switch? (Hunting for that bingsu)

Usually sometimes between September and October, whenever the weather gets chilly.

Does this bakery make customized birthday cakes?

Yes, as long as it's based on their existing options (meaning, you can't order something random that they don't already sell).

Is this a dog friendly place?

I sat with my dog out on the patio and no one complained

Is it possible to reserve a table dor a group?

No but usually it isn't too hard to find seating. They have both inside and outside options available.

Very nice place but zero gluten free?

Probably not. Some items contain rice flour, but that's about it.

For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!

That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

My niece had the hash brown bread with ham and cheese. I definitely preferred the latter a bit more, mostly because it's rare to find potatoes served in this way. Xela Pan Cafe

Whoops! This is an overdue review from December…read more Xela Pan Cafe is a Guatemalan restaurant/bakery/convenience store on Buford Hwy in Doraville. Just a quick warning that, depending on which employee helps customers, there may be a slight issue with their understanding of English. They absolutely speak and understand Spanish. Xela Pan Cafe is in a small strip mall that is next to the strip mall where Kung Fu Tea is located. There is limited parking in front of the storefronts. This small business is made up of a restaurant, a bakery and a convenience store all run by the same employees. The convenience store sells a lot of seemingly random items, just about all in glass display cases. I noticed a lot of things to help with digestion and upset stomach, and hoped that this wasn't an indication of their food (Thankfully, it turned out that it wasn't!). The bakery items were in a separate area of display cases, but customers are free to self-serve themselves by using a tray to place whatever they choose, using either tongs or disposable gloves (I can't remember which they use) to take the items out of the cases. R and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning just before 9 am. There is an order counter, but that's for customers who are ordering items to go. Once the employees found out that we were going to eat breakfast inside the restaurant, we were told to seat ourselves and an employee would be by soon with menus. The restaurant area contains mostly booths, with some tables and chairs in an area between the order counter, convenience store and bakery areas. A very helpful and knowledgeable server came by our table, bringing a couple of glasses of water and menus. For a small restaurant, there were many items on the menu. We both ordered the scrambled eggs, rice, black beans, plantains and cheese. We didn't wait very long, in spite of other customers lined up at the counter to order takeout meals. The scrambled eggs with tomato and onion in them tasted a little bland, but I dressed it up with some bottled red hot sauce that was on the table. The plain tasting white rice, which had peas, carrots and corn in it, was pressed into a heart shape. The black beans in its watery sauce were very good.
