This place is a step back in time, makes you feel like you're in the 50s! Service was quick, prices were reasonable. Good comfort food! Cherry pie slices were big and so were the chocolate brownie. Made for a great road trip lunch!

My wife and I decided to try a local spot in a town not far from our home. Located just 10 mines from interstate 44 about one hour West of St. Louis, this small cafe is great for a quick breakfast. While we were there multiple people came and went. Many local frequent the place located in the our town section of Union Missouri. Our breakfast was a mix of regular menu items and a Senior menu item. My wife had the two eggs, two meat and has brown plate with a giant pancake and toast. She was very happy with it. I had the Senior plate, smaller portions to save money, but more than enough for a smaller appetite. But just in case I added the gravy and biscuits. We opted for Diet Pepsi for our drinks. We will return! Very pleased.

Stepping into the White Rose is like stepping back in time. Fun, nostalgic decor, complete with a juke box and an old time phone booth...sorry I didn't get a pic of the phone booth. We received friendly, efficient service from Allysa. Good simple food at a reasonable price. Breakfast is served all day, with a lunch & dinner menu. No adult beverages here. Everyone in our group enjoyed their choices, from omelette to wraps, to chopped steak dinner. Baked potato wasn't quite done, but otherwise no complaints.

Wonderful service! The staff is very friendly, and the food absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is littered with pictures of classic cars and celebrities from the Golden Hollywood Era. A safe bet for car enthusiasts and classic Hollywood admirers!

I was really disappointed in this dining facility. The waitress was awful, the food was cold, and my husband became ill that evening.

I enjoyed the avocado toast with eggs while my husband had a more traditional egg, meat and potato breakfast. The avocado toast breakfast was huge! 4 slices with avocado, queso fresco, and pico and 2 eggs. Everything was fresh and delicious! We also loved the spicy potatos and the chocolate milk was a work of art! Cost and order/prep time was reasonable. Highly recommended!

I tried the iced coffee, very good! This was the best meal I've had in a very long time. I'm so tired of being disappointed & honestly didn't have high expectations. It's in a strip mall and there's nothing special looking from the outside, actually on the inside either. Just a clean little, friendly diner. I really I was pleasantly surprised. This is Food with flavor, everything appears to be home made with real ingredients. In a time where the prices are going up as the quality goes down this was the opposite. Good quality food, meats- sausage & bacon. Food came hot & delicious. It was the quality that I use at home but I didn't have to cook. Money well spent! I just wish they were closer, it would certainly be our new "go to" eatery! Looking forward to returning.

I had the grilled chicken sandwich and house salad with vinaigrette house dressing. She had the French dip and same salad. Chicken sandwich was charbroiled to perfection and topped with the perfect bacon and garnishes. I enjoyed every bite. Her French dip looked to be the perfect medium rare and came on a fresh French bread. My buddy and his wife both ordered the pork chops. 2 chops smothered in peppers, onions and the most rich gravy that could be a meal in itself. I had the bread pudding for dessert which was amazing....i can't believe I ate the whole thing!! Greta place, great service!!

Hmm, I found it interesting. it reminded me of air popped spinach that was very light and crunchy without a lot of taste. I believe I burned calories of the spinach just by chewing it! I encourage people to try it, just because it is so different. It makes a beautiful presentation. The steak was pretty good and the vegetable medley was delicious along with the salad. The next time I go, I will order the vegetables and the salad and try the toasted raviolis as an appetizer. The drive to Hawthorne Inn is beautiful from Eureka. Drive slowly and enjoy the serenity of the farms and beautiful homes along the way.

I immediately had buyers remorse and wanted to leave to find another patio. Luckily my husband was able to sway the hostess to suit us outside, on account of it being my birthday. We settled up with our initial server and moved to the patio. Both of our servers were very gracious. Outside we could see the river and the train roll by. We had fried cheese balls to start- 10/10. The cheddar cheese was piquant, the breading was herbed, and the ranch dressing served alongside was not the kind from the grocery store! My better half and myself split the large order of chicken wings with sauce on the side. The garlic Parmesan sauce reminded me of the stuff Papa John's gives you, with more viscosity. It was not my favorite. The sweet and spicy sauce was my husband's favorite, and I thought it was okay. The wings were fried crispy and still juicy in the middle. We also shared the Italian salad which was awesome: artichokes, red onions, provel, Parmesan, salami, and a red wine vinegar dressing. We devoured both. My daughter had the toasted ravioli and they were some of the best I've had in a while. Really great experience and I'll be back for sure!
