Yes, I've we had a meet and greet group Sarah with with our MC Club and we all always had it there for a month straight. We have a 4 to 6 meals Aaron and group accommodations kicked off. Great kicked off real good for the first three years or so and then then I don't know what somebody made a drop the drop the F bomb or an S bomb or some kind of bomb and the guy turned into a prick so I know his food's great ambience is awesome. You could have a conversation there waiting screw screwed up on otters a little bit on some people, though you know whatever it was but other than I know, it's stand-up guy. Food is delicious. Service is very good. Ambiance is ok. It didn't figure into my evaluation much as I was at a group luncheon and we all enjoyed the setting and were glad to have our group accommodated. I have already recommended this venue to friends. We had never been there before and I was wanting soup. My husband order wings (delicious!) and I had the cream of potato soup w/ rolls (also delicious). Taylor, is the real MVP. She went above and beyond showing no sign of impatience with us coming in close to closing time. She made us feel welcomed and joked with us! Definitely will return to try more of the menu. The waitress was friendly and provided some of her favorite meals. The food arrived fairly quickly and it was hot and delicious. They have a wide selection of menu items. They have quite a bit of seating, but I suspect you might have a wait time during peak hours. I would recommend Johnny's. read more

Fantastic! We had the opportunity to order the French Silk pie from Mrs.Boog's Bakery. I was so happy we did. Not only does the pie taste heavenly but it looks so pretty too! 3.5 stars really. Why? It's a good hometown Italian restaurant, nothing spectacular, just good food at a good price. Service is friendly, but sometimes slow. Decor is dated and booth seating is really worn. A must have is the potato soup. Delicious. On my recent visit I got the Cod sandwich. It was very hot and very big. I had to cut it in half. It tasted good and I liked it. It came with homemade tartar sauce... which tasted like mayonnaise. And some bland potato salad. My husband got the spaghetti with one meatball. They use fettuccine noodles and he liked it, said the meatball was pretty good also. If you're in town and you're looking for good Italian this is the place to go to. I drive through Union, MO all the time and had never been to Johnnys Restaurant. On this day I had a group in my car with me and someone suggested Johnnys so there we went. I was a little bit skeptical about Italian food in Union, MO. Hey, it could have been really bad but it was actually quite nice and a pleasant surprise. We started with the Olive Oil & Garlic Plate. They brought out a huge dish filled with olive oil, herbs, and fresh chunks of garlic. It was delicious! I was trying not to fill up on bread but you know I have no willpower. Thankfully I ordered the lunch portion of the tortellini. The waitress suggested the white sauce so I went with that. This was the perfect portion. I didn't quite finish it but the sauce was creamy and garlicky and great. My lunch dates ordered the Famous Cheesesteak Sandwich and a Lunch portion of spaghetti with marinara sauce and vegetables. We were all happy! I wouldn't hesitate to return! Good find! read more

This is a fun little place to visit. We were staying in Owensville and had business in Washington so went here for dinner. It's a sports themed restaurant with a small but efficient menu. We sat down and immediately given a menu and decided on drinks. The don't have a full bar but had my drink of choice and Hubby had a beer. They have sandwiches, pasta and pizza. It was hot so they didn't have the pizza oven running but that was ok. We ordered appetizers (cheese curds and toasted ravioli). I ordered spaghetti with one meatball and Hubby ordered the Philly Cheesesteaks sandwich. Our appy's came and they were delicious! Curds we're crispy and cheesy and the toasted ravioli-wow! Soo good! We got homemade rolls and used the marinara from the apps to dip them in(suggested by our waitress)and it was wonderful! The spaghetti was perfectly cooked but the meatball and marinara were the stars! Season and plump the meatball is a must try! It marries perfectly with the yummy marinara. Heaven on a plate! Hub's sandwich was another winner-large homemade roll stuffed to the brim with cheese, steak, fresh lettuce, tomatoes and a touch of oil and vinegar-just perfect! The homemade potato salad was also a hit-a must try!!! We were so full we couldn't fit desert but their menu looked worth a try! Our waitress was friendly, suggesting several menu items and always bringing our food well spaced and hot. Unfortunately I did not catch her name but she was very warm and we liked her immediately. I'm going through a hard time in the most wonderful thing happened at Johnny's one of the waitress overheard what was going on she literally gave me $10 I tried to give it back but she refused. The wait staff are so kind loyal and loving aren't afraid to dip into their own tips to help someone who's low on their luck. Thank you Candy Karen's this woman needs a raise she not only does her job with a smile but she's not afraid to help others even when she doesn't have to. If anything just thank you you have no idea what it means to me kindness that you have shown. This restaurant is definitely family-friendly! read more

I love this place. The Garlic and Olive Oil plate is the best that I have ever tasted, along with the Mozzerella Tomato Salad. Their sandwiches are fresh with great flavor combinations and the meat is locally raised and processed by the owner. Service is wonderful and always fast. They are very family oriented and kid friendly. Closed on Sunday and Mondays for Family time which I totally respect but miss when I want to go there on those days. Portions are large and reasonably priced. They have beer and a limited wine menu and some mixed drinks. The only complaint I have about this restaurant is lack of consistency. They run out of things a lot. Bread, limes and salt for the drinks, lemons, pepper sauce. The Bloody Mary mix goes back and forth from Zing Zang (Yuck!) to something that is pretty good but is only there occasionally. This is the only thing that stops it from getting 5 stars but shouldn't stop anyone from eating here because it is worth it. . read more

WHAT A RESTAURANT! Delicious food! There is not a bad choice at Johnny's. They make their bread from scratch every day. Best sandwiches around. Pizza, homemade soups and prime rib every Friday and Saturday nights. The only complaint is that they are closed Sunday and Mondays. read more

Johnny's has taken a turn for the worst. If you go in to eat prior to 4 PM you will not be able to order a pizza, no more free refills on bread, and the quality of food is poor. I ordered chicken wings and they tasted horrible due to being freezer burned, so that tells me right there that Johnny's serves old food. I will never eat there again! read more

We were on our way home and starting looking for some dinner. I Googled the town St Clair. It showed me the top 10 restaurants. Several closed around 8:00. We chose Johnny's since it closed at 9:00. It had a 5 star rating. The restaurant is actually in Union. It has a wide variety of Italian foods, Pizza, steaks, chicken and fish, American sandwiches and salads. It was really good. Will start eating here next time we are in that area. read more

Stopped in for lunch while in Union, was greeted by a polite young lady named Tasha. She recommended the cheesesteak so me and my buddy got it, it was awesome. I also recommend the hot pepper relish. It was a neat spot and the owner is one of the cooks so the food is always made with love. Will definitely be my go to Union lunch spot. read more
