They were asked to turn on the water by the woman that lives in the house so she could use the bathroom. Worker replied with a disgusting "really." After the toilet was flushed water was turned off without time to wash hands. When asked to turn it back on the reply was "oh my gosh." She told him when she was done and he a smart comment of "are you sure?" Called his boss "Ted" and he just said he was unimpressed by the lady and didn't want to hear anything and hung up on me. I know this is small town Iowa, but what a disrespectful company and probably should think of some ethics if they want to stay in business. Sadly I still had to give them one star to leave a review.

In 2017 I had a stroke and my husband died and the o pop problem with my furnace resurfaced and they were very good again. Before my husband passed away he had done demolition of my kitchen, down to the studs. I tried to NO avail to even get someone local to do the remodel so I was forced to go to Marion to find someone. They put in a new electrical box and Alliant got involved and approved the work. Later I found a note on cardboard in the yard from the guy who did that work that he did not have the correct weight wiring for running to the upstairs and this needed to be corrected. I didn't use the upstairs so I wasn't too concerned last fall my daughter moved in and used the electricity upstairs. I contacted Monti Plumbing Heating and Electric to run the correct weight wire upstairs because it is a fire hazard I am told. They never came so I stopped out there. I gave him a list of quite a few smaller things I would like done. They had no record I had ever called. Ted told me he was really busy and it would probably be snowing before they could get to it. it is now the middle of May. I called last week and I was grumbled at that thell get to me and then hung up on. I called somebody else today. I don't know what happened to the old Ted but he either has spread himself too thin or is ill. my experience has been in my family history of cancer long before the diagnosis they first had a drastic change of personality. Just an observation but IF this other company gets back to me in a timely manner I will use them If not I will be forced to once again go out of the immediate area to get the work done.

We were listing our home for sale much sooner than anticipated." I received a call Monday morning saying they received my message and they could schedule us that day as they had just had a cancellation that was actually for our area. By 11:00 Am that day the service person, TJ came out and cleaned the AC compressor and gas insert and glass. I was thrilled when I saw how fabulous the fireplace looked. I do not recommend doing business with Colony. While the service technicians are polite and nice…read morethe company does not support the customers, product and warranty work. We have also found out their pricing is expensive. For one repair, they told us it generally takes 30-60 minutes; however, they charge everyone for 8 hours' worth of labor in case it takes that long as an OCCASIONAL job has taken that long. So, you pay for an 8-hour job, it takes them 1 hour and then they move to the next job and get paid again for their time that has already been paid by another customer. Our furnace is less then 10 years with a 10-year warranty. The control board failed and they will not cover the part under a warranty even though it is a known problem yet not defined as a recallable defect covered by the warranty. Trane has published a work around for the issue which Colony performed yet Colony & Trane point fingers at each other on whether the fix was installed correctly or not so neither will cover the part damage. They are charging 50% more for the part than a competitor and wouldn't even give a discount or offer to give us the part at cost even though we have a paid service contract with them which is also overpriced. Never buy a Trane furnace/air conditioner from them. They promised the service manager would call to see what could be done and we never received a phone call. They were unwilling to do anything to fight to get the part covered by the warranty even though it was clear that we could not have caused the damage. There are better options out on the marketplace.

However, the recommendation that he made to me was incorrect he told me the part was universal and it wasn't so that left me with more work in the end. And initially scheduling the appointment with them through A Home Warranty was a very very difficult task because the female that answered the phone to schedule appointments was not at all willing to answer questions or giving me options as far as appointment times and dates. If it weren't for the Home Warranty company referring me to this company I would definitely never ever ever use this company.
