I called Whitehawk based on recommendation from my mother to fix a leaking toilet issue. The very…read morefirst time I called must've been a fluke because someone answered right away (Thursday afternoon). I say what I wanted and also asked if they could install a bidet toilet seat. The guy said 'I guess...' and then after a long awkward silence, I asked when he thought someone could get here. He said 'It'll Tuesday or Wednesday...' I said okay waiting for him to tell me a time, look at his appointment schedule or whatever he does but he just hung up. Subsequent calls yielded no answer so I finally left a message asking for a more specific time someone would be here. I never got a call back. Few days later on Wednesday morning, two guys show up and fixed the toilet leak and installed the bidet seat (crooked). They said they couldn't hook up the hot water line (yep, it's a fancy bidet) because the hose provided wasn't long enough. They recommended I order longer tube from bidet manufacturer and then they could come back and hook it up. I did order a longer tube after they left and once it arrived, I called for them to come back. No answer to my multiple calls at multiple times of day for the next two weeks. I left at least 3 voicemail messages (trying my hardest to not sound like a "Karen") and no one ever calls me back. Finally got my brother-in-law to hook up the hot water line. Whitehawk, you get one star for successfully fixing the leak. I don't know what your deal was but I'm pretty sure I would have understood IF SOMEONE HAD CALLED ME BACK whether it was staffing issues, personal issues...etc. Your customer service is a very big ZERO stars. I'll not recommend you to anyone and will also say not to go with Whitehawk if I happen to overhear anyone needs plumbers' assistance.

I am very disappointed in this company. They used to be the very best. 19 years ago I first moved…read moreto Monticello Ted himself was very good and helpful. my husband told him our connection to the house was loose and that got fixed very quickly. In 2017 I had a stroke and my husband died and the o pop problem with my furnace resurfaced and they were very good again. Before my husband passed away he had done demolition of my kitchen, down to the studs. I tried to NO avail to even get someone local to do the remodel so I was forced to go to Marion to find someone. They put in a new electrical box and Alliant got involved and approved the work. Later I found a note on cardboard in the yard from the guy who did that work that he did not have the correct weight wiring for running to the upstairs and this needed to be corrected. I didn't use the upstairs so I wasn't too concerned last fall my daughter moved in and used the electricity upstairs. I contacted Monti Plumbing Heating and Electric to run the correct weight wire upstairs because it is a fire hazard I am told. They never came so I stopped out there. I gave him a list of quite a few smaller things I would like done. They had no record I had ever called. Ted told me he was really busy and it would probably be snowing before they could get to it. it is now the middle of May. I called last week and I was grumbled at that thell get to me and then hung up on. I called somebody else today. I don't know what happened to the old Ted but he either has spread himself too thin or is ill. my experience has been in my family history of cancer long before the diagnosis they first had a drastic change of personality. Just an observation but IF this other company gets back to me in a timely manner I will use them If not I will be forced to once again go out of the immediate area to get the work done.

They were asked to turn on the water by the woman that lives in the house so she could use the bathroom. Worker replied with a disgusting "really." After the toilet was flushed water was turned off without time to wash hands. When asked to turn it back on the reply was "oh my gosh." She told him when she was done and he a smart comment of "are you sure?" Called his boss "Ted" and he just said he was unimpressed by the lady and didn't want to hear anything and hung up on me. I know this is small town Iowa, but what a disrespectful company and probably should think of some ethics if they want to stay in business. Sadly I still had to give them one star to leave a review.

I received a call Monday morning saying they received my message and they could schedule us that day as they had just had a cancellation that was actually for our area. By 11:00 Am that day the service person, TJ came out and cleaned the AC compressor and gas insert and glass. I was thrilled when I saw how fabulous the fireplace looked. Thank you Colony Heating and Ac and Thank you TJ!

However, due to it being a Saturday, I was charged a $250 weekend service charge. The problem was that drifting snow had blocked the outflow pipe. While the technician was at my home, he received a call from my neighbor experiencing exactly the same thing. The technician advised him to clear his exhaust pipe. No charge. I did not object to the technician's service fee, but felt the weekend fee excessive, especially since my neighbor was treated fairly at NO CHARGE. Colony profited unreasonably and lost my business because of it. Dr. Sisson
