Phil from Mr. Speedy Locksmith is VERY unreliable and unprofessional. Would never call Phil or My…read moreSpeedy Locksmith again. Worst locksmith ever. Here is the story: Super bowl Sunday: Got locked out of the house. Called several locksmiths and they were all busy for 5-6 hrs (my guess to watch the SB). I got a hold of Phil on my ninth locksmith call. He said he could be there in 20min. 1.5 hours later he showed up. I called at 1hr and no answer. He tried picking the lock for about 30min, then he used a tool and basically broke the door knob to get it off. The pins and springs fell out of the lock. We recovered them and he said he could come back the next day at 5pm and put the original knob back on. He did install a very cheap knob so we at least had a door knob. Total cost for service $70 Monday: 5pm came around and Phil didn't show. at 5:45pm I gave him a call no answer. He never communicated with me to let me know what was going on. Tuesday: Called him around 10:30am and he actually answered. Scheduled for him to come over with the parts he took to fix the original knob and lock at 7:30pm. At 7:15 he called and asked if he left the locking mechanism at the house. Which he left at the house. He showed up at 7:45pm to pick up the locking mechanism. He than said he would meet me with at 10:30am on the next day to complete the job. Wednesday: 10:30am rolled around no Phil. Called at 11:30, no answer, called at 12:30 no answer, called at 1:30 no answer. Finally at 2:30 he answered the phone. He didn't even apologize for not showing up. He said he could meet at 5pm. Now at 5:15pm he showed up giving me all the parts saying he couldn't fix it. I took all the parts and Schlage rekey kit plus a new Schlage lock to repair the original lock. After some time messing with it I realized that Phil had actually destroyed the door knob and lock to be nu-repairable. Phil might be good at car locks, but home locks he does NOT have the skills to do. Save yourself some time and money and just drill out the lock and buy a new one. Never use Mr Speedy Locksmith
