Absolutely flawless service. Great response to the Yelp "Get a quote." Great follow up communication to schedule once I said to book the job. Called before arriving and arrived on time, and took care not to track mud in. As for the job itself (garbage disposal replacement) the service tech tried to unjam the old one first (which would have saved me money) but came to the conclusion the old one was toast. Installed a new one quickly and cleanly. Price was exactly as quoted. As he was boxing his tools I asked if White Glove did any water quality testing and explained a problem I suspect I have on my supply line. He offered to take a sample on the spot that would be sent off to a lab. He quoted me a price and said I could pay in a week when the sample came back. How much more could I ask for? Last week Nick came out to my house to do my Bi--annual service on both of my heating and A/C systems. I've had many techs come out to my house over the years but Nick was one of most professional and knowledgeable techs I have seen. Extremely friendly, knew what he was doing and took the time to explain things where it made sense. One of the zones in our house didn't have any AC. I called mid-day on a Monday and was greeted in a very professional manner. I explained the issue and was able to schedule a service call for Wednesday of the same week. I was impressed with the turn around time and the flexibility in the schedule. On Wednesday, the technician called around 1:00 pm (my appointment was originally scheduled for 2:00-4:00) and said he could get to my house early if I was home. The technician was prompt, professional, and very friendly! He quickly figured out that one of the zone motors in my AC needed to be replaced. After just a few minutes, he let me know he could get the part that same day if I wanted him to do the work. This company was very up front about pricing and made sure I was aware of what was needed every step of the way. I was relieved not only to have a fully functioning AC right before the heat wave, but the price was very fair. I bookmarked this business due to a recommendation from someone else and I'm glad I did! My upstairs shower was leaking through the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom. I messaged the owner on Yelp and someone was able to come out within a day or 2 for a very reasonable price. They came out and ended up having to order a part which I was quoted also a good price. I was able to figure out the source of the leak myself after the ceiling was opened and no longer needed the part and they were excellent. Wow. Super responsive! Amazing communications. This was our first time using White Glove Plumbing and it was a great experience. We normally use Bradley Mechanical (even have a service agreement with them) and we had them out to provide a free estimate/quote for a water heater replacement. I emailed BM with some questions about the estimate (brand of heater, warranty, capacity, etc.) and they never responded. We thought their price may be a little high so we shopped around some. Woodfin wanted to charge $$ to send someone out to provide an estimate. James River Air also wanted to charge $$ to send someone out to provide an estimate. White Glove Plumbing worked with me. Rich offered to send someone out to look at the heater and provided an estimate. I declined and instead emailed him a handful of pictures, a description, and my concerns. He continued to exchanges messages through Yelp for a couple of weeks. Rich was able to provide an estimate and presented me with options and prices for those options, one of which was me providing the water heater and only having WGP perform the install. That last option is what I elected for. I provided the water heater and they furnished everything else for the quoted price. Their quoted prices were not high. They were competitive (and even a few hundred dollars cheaper than Bradley Mechanical). They arrived on time and began working immediately. Jim, the plumber, was great. He answered all my questions, worked with me to install the water heater *exactly* where and how I wanted, and even talked me through how to perform proper annual maintenance. There was no sales pitch or attempt to upsell. On the contrary, Jim was comfortable with my choice to 'downgrade' part of the install. Jim in a nutshell: professional, efficient, patient, polite, respectful of my requests. Excellent work. TLDR; White Glove gave me so much more than relief from the heat today and I immediately signed up for their maintenance program. Background: my AC had been dysfunctional for 2 weeks. I went through 3 other companies to get assessments/quotes before finding White Glove. 1st company looked at my unit and said nothing was wrong (I slept in 82 degree heat that night, so obviously the assessment was incorrect). 2nd company actually hooked up some kind of measurement system to the outdoor unit and said it was "freezing up" but will be fine if I just TURN IT OFF when the fan started going haywire (ah yes, I'll just not have air at all when it gets too hot outside for me to run the system below 80 degrees...). But suggested if that didn't work maybe it was a $1000 valve thing. Their sales person who came out the day after the tech said "oh it's not a valve thing, it's likely the coil" without even touching or looking at the unit. The 3rd company simply gave me a replacement quote. Enter: Nick from White Glove. He hooked up a more complex looking measurement system and proceeded to explain to me what the numbers I saw meant in correlation to the recommended operation numbers on the unit label. He even gave me a quick technical (and easy to understand) explanation of how an HVAC system actually works. The issue was too much refrigerant due from some kind of repair before I purchased this home!! (the pressure was maxing at 550psi which was triggering the emergency fan shutoff so my unit didn't explode. btw the 2nd company I mentioned above were the ones who installed the system for the previous home owner and likely did the repair ‍) Nick drained some refrigerant and showed me how it was causing the numbers to stabilize to the recommended amounts. Then he stayed for like 20 minutes longer to make sure the pressure remained stable and to make sure my house actually cooled AND checked all the temperatures manually to make sure the thermostat number matched. Nick's repair plus the visit fee cost me LESS than an assessment fee alone from any of the other companies. Not only was Nick incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but he saved me thousands of dollars and another miserable night in the heat. The only way I'll ever stop hiring White Glove for any HVAC or plumbing is if I leave Virginia altogether. Highly, highly recommend this company. read more

This was a broken drainpipe from the wall but you could not just unscrew it. The technician stuck with it and removed it from the wall by sawing it out. The alternative was to break through an adjacent room's wall. With the pipe removed, a new drain was assembled in no time. Great work. read more
