During the most recent snow/ice storm I requested service. in the area most people are dealing with icy roads/driveways due to freezing temperatures and lack of supplies. This company refused to pull in my driveway in their VAN. I made arrangements for them to park in my neighbors plowed yard the next day they refused to walk on the ice to service my home. The tech guy waited in his van for about 15 minutes then left no call or anything. I tried calling back 3 separate times no answer when I finally called from my husband's number someone magically answered. While I'm not at liberty to put anyone's safety at risk if this is an issue that you have had and you witnessed my street/ road conditions why not just decline the service instead of making me continue to wait only to be told after day 2 that you can't service me. And the only concern you have is that you have had 2 technicians come out to waste time and money. Nevermind the fact I have no normal heat running. Horrible customer service and lack of communication!

As for the job itself (garbage disposal replacement) the service tech tried to unjam the old one first (which would have saved me money) but came to the conclusion the old one was toast. Installed a new one quickly and cleanly. Price was exactly as quoted. As he was boxing his tools I asked if White Glove did any water quality testing and explained a problem I suspect I have on my supply line. He offered to take a sample on the spot that would be sent off to a lab. He quoted me a price and said I could pay in a week when the sample came back. How much more could I ask for? Great first experience with White Glove. They are at the top of my list for future needs.

If I could give Bryan 10 stars, I would. I have worked with many HVAC people over the years and…read moreNOBODY has been as thorough and fair as RVA Heating & Cooling. Bryan went WAY above and beyond to make sure he put the correct system in my house and he nailed it. BTW, I am in Richmond, VA. For some reason Yelp is saying I'm in Nags Head lol. My house has a Unico system in it (those of you familiar with it may know how challenging and difficult these systems can be) and it has NEVER worked correctly. I replaced the original heat pump once before and, when the second heat pump died, I was looking for someone who could figure out what I should replace it with. It turns out that, since there have been refrigerant changes, I would need to replace the entire system (heat pump and Unico air handler/furnace). I received one quote essentially just replacing what I already had. That company didn't do too much research and gave me a quote (this is similar to what I had experienced with my last heat pump replacement). I was about to move forward with that company and then thought I should get a second opinion. My friend told me about Bryan and RVA Heating & Cooling and raved about how good he is. Well, he wasn't wrong and I am so happy I didn't go with the other company. Bryan came in and actually figured out the system. He spent time researching and talking to Unico to figure out how to make the system work correctly. In fact, he was able to get Unico to sign off on what size Unico system to use and what heat pump to pair with it. In doing this, it doubled the warranty I would have received otherwise. Another benefit of talking to Unico was that they were able to tell Bryan exactly why the old system wasn't working correctly. It turns out that the ducts weren't set up correctly and that the old system was undersized for the house. The drawback was that Bryan was now going to have to replace the main duct coming off of the air handler and fix some of the other ducts as well. Good thing Bryan is a master at ductwork. In fact, he used to have a company called Bryan's Ducts (I think that is right). What better person to have fix the ducts that someone who actually owned a duct company lol. Bryan had to do much more work that initially expected, but he made sure the system was PERFECT. Here's the kicker, I got a fully replaced air handler, brand new top of the line Trane inverter cold weather heat pump, and new ductwork for essentially the same price I would've paid the other company to put in the same inferior system I had before (cheap heat pump, the wrong size air handler, no ductwork, and no extended warranty). The HVAC system has NEVER worked as well as it does now. I mean it's kinda mind blowing given that I've been in this house for 22 years. You will not go wrong with RVA Heating & Cooling. Don't even bother with contacting the "big guys" around town. All they're going to do is rip you off (believe me, I've been there). I'll happily go with a smaller company that treats you fairly and actually cares about their work. RVA Heating & Cooling is BY FAR the best HVAC company I've worked with. If you need work done, don't think twice and just call Bryan.

I would go with a less nice but reliable and honest HVAC guy to resolve my HVAC problems rather than super nice but unreliable tech. They have always changed out the filter for me for free as long as I purchase the filter materials. However the last few times dealing with this company has been absolutely horrible. On 2 separate occasions I have had to call the office because an outrageous bill was sent to me listing services that I did not request and were not performed. Mind you the company is less than 7 mins from my home, and it only takes the worker approximately 9 mins at most to change out the filter as I am here at home while they are doing it. The first bill I received was for $140 worth of charges of which they apologized saying I should have never been charged anything. The latest bill was for $91 of which I called over there explaining to the gentleman who answered the phone and was extremely rude and condescending saying, " we had to come out there didn't we? " I advised him if he looked at the times they have come out they have always done this for free being that they installed the system, and as long as I provided the filter. Im not sure if the gentleman at the office was new or just didn't feel like looking up the information but again he was extremely rude. I checked with 2 other local companies of which one is in downtown Richmond and they even advised if its a unit their company sold and installed that is typically something they will work into their schedule and just change while in route to another location. I was actually going to see about having Adams install a new HVAC in the future but after these last few instances they have lost my trust and will now lose my business.
