You may laugh but I still see that practice, so that was good to see. I called two other places and one (Benjamin Franklin) actually wanted to charge $350 dollars more for the same work, and then came down in price to be just $100 more than Southern...I know I'll never call Benjamin Franklin! They worked in snow and mud. They stayed late. They were kind and courteous, with great communication. They asked me where I wanted the extra dirt from the trenches dug for the electric/water lines, and spread it nicely. They navigated my work schedule to obtain signatures they needed. As for the job itself (garbage disposal replacement) the service tech tried to unjam the old one first (which would have saved me money) but came to the conclusion the old one was toast. As he was boxing his tools I asked if White Glove did any water quality testing and explained a problem I suspect I have on my supply line. He offered to take a sample on the spot that would be sent off to a lab. He quoted me a price and said I could pay in a week when the sample came back. How much more could I ask for? Harry called me back promptly & let me know right up front that he was fully booked until August. But he also eased my mind by reminding me that the toilets were all put in at the same time, so more than one could have components wearing out at the same time. Since I only had leaking to the bowl, I changed the flappers & now they both work great! Even though he was very busy, he took the time to call me back. Even though he was booked until August, he listened to what I said. I thought they did a great job. The equipment that they installed was top quality and the plumbers who did the work were courteous, respectful of my home and knowledgeable. This year, I had a plumbing inspection by a third party who informed me that due to code, I needed an expansion tank for the heater. I called Mr. Rooter to inquire and they sent the original plumber to inspect. They agreed to install the tank at no cost to me other than for the tank and pipe, which I did not purchase the first time. Very fair indeed and they were extremely courteous during the discussion we had. I would recommend Mr. Rooter of Richmond.
