......======..... [MMMMMMMM]…read more[MMMMMMMM] M !! M M !! M M_._._!!_._._M MMMM..MMMM MMMM..MMMM ((Oo::::::::::oO)) (((((((((()))))))))) UU UU I had a great time! Food trucks stood their ground but few of them were a little overwhelmed. Can't wait to catch them in their natural environment. The Hunt is on! Where can I find this twitter!? They all seem to go there...... FOllow for daily locations.

The backdrop biscayne blvd was gorgeous, the performances were lovely and the music just kept my hips moving the entire time. It was great to try the different food trucks. There were about 15 of them. They all definitely made a killing and I am so happy for them to have had this chance to get their name out there, too. I think they are a great addition to this city and definitely a trend that will only grow larger. I loved that this event had two stages, an adult center stage and then a side stage that was family oriented and had more cultural performances. The Japanese drummers were phenomenally cool --awesome rhythms and great energy! The Peruvian Expression group had me in a complete trance the whole time. I loved all of the different rhythms and that singers voice was just divine! I could listen to it all day. Whether she was talking or singing, she just had this magnetic charm about her. Oh, and the Junkanoo parade hit the spot, too. Great constumes and great energy and pull factor, too! The crowd loved it! The kids seemed to have some really cool crafts that, admittedly, I wished I could've snuck in and done with them ;). The arts booths were great because I was able to learn about new galleries and new programs and sign up for some great mailing lists. On top of that, the give-a-ways were great! Tote bags, folders, pocket fans, discount tickets, and more! As simple as it was, I have to say the Vitamin Water give-a-way was my fav! Genius!! Pure freakin' genius! There was actually a fair amount of seating if you knew where to look, too. So, the downside...surprisingly, neither parking nor traffic is on the list. Traffic was fine. My only complaint about parking is that they pulled a fast one and charged $10 parking for this "free" event. However, for the quick and savvy, like my dear Claudia J., you know there is parking on the very very nearby 1st Ave and 1st Ct at regular meter price. Hellloo! Ok, and the other downside, the main walkway was lined with trucks, which initially seemed great, but it was far too congested in the end. I hope they develop a new solution for that. Also, the big beast today was the unbearable HEAT! Please, guys, move this to October or at least late September. Either way, I'm there! Three hours there was perfect, although I would've been fine with staying longer, too, because the rhythms were just so wonderful! Getting there at 12:30 had us eating with virtually no lines!!

This exhibit was so much fun!!! Located at Mana Wynwood…read moreConvention center, there is a private lot for it, but since it's located in Wynwood there is also plenty of street parking available. I came with a group of friends and we purchased our tickets online in advance and each adult ticket was about $56. They require time slots to ensure the exhibits are not over crowded at any point in time which we realized was very helpful while we were there. Once we entered the convention center, we made the line and were led into the first room and from then on we were able to walk into each next room at our own pace which was nice because we weren't being rushed despite the time slots on our tickets. There was at least one attendant in each room where the art exhibit was not meant to be touched or stood on. There were so many interesting photo and video opportunities throughout the exhibit. Which was awesome, but experiencing it is completely different (videos and pictures are not as fun. Some of the installations are interactive and of course this is a family friendly exhibit so that is something to keep in mind as there were a lot of children present and at moments it was very loud and rowdy. My only complaint is that the only way to get to the bathroom was either way the very beginning or very end of the experience, so if you needed to use the bathroom halfway through, you would have to walk through the entire museum to get to the restroom. At the very end there is a gift shop where they had tons of balloon art, toys and cute trinkets for purchase. They also had a seating area and a cafe with some sandwiches, pastries and refreshments. Overall a cool experience and I would recommend this to anyone with children, or someone looking for a cute date idea.

As I get ready to write this review, I just realized, I had been coming to the history Miami Museum for a long time. From one of my first fourth grade field trips to their educational boat cruises around the bay presented by museum lecturer Dr. Paul George. However, this most recent visit was thanks to Farah and Yelp's invite for the "Waves of Change" exhibit opening night. This exhibit focused on Miami's history as a fashion capital especially when it came to beachwear. I had the chance to see the different historical eras, and see some models showing them. There was also an interactive station where people could come up with their own designs. On the note of the more things change the more they stay the same, there was a poster telling how Carl Fisher (the founder of Miami Beach) would send pictures of the beautiful Miami ladies in swimsuits to investors up north so they could come to Miami. So basically 1920s / 30s Thirst traps :) Some other notable exhibits included Polaroids of the Liberty City area, as well as general Miami scenery. The free drinks by Bacaradi (Coconut, Mango Chile & classic) made for a perfect happy hour vibe; of the passed bites, my favorites were the Thai chicken & the Arancini. Thank You again Farah & Yelp Miami for this fun Friday!

Last time I was here was for the Walter Mercado exhibit which was amazing. We were also able to visit the other building which has more museum exhibits. This particular evening we came in through the courtesy of Yelp to the grand opening of the Waves of Style Swimwear through the Decades opening night event. The event had a drinks and passed bites and allowed you the opportunity to enter the museum and see the new exhibit on the second floor. A fantastic evening was had with my Yelp squad and the event was so much fun. A wonderful way to spend a night in Miami immersed in history and fun. I definitely want to become a museum member and purchase a membership.

I have attended Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens for two summers in a row for Rolling Loud music…read morefestival, and each time I have been enthralled and incredibly impressed with the stadium's surrounding landscape, and complete attention to detail in the festival's functionality and decor. I have never been inside the actual stadium structure, only the area surrounding the building, just to be clear. But it is a truly impressive piece of real estate. The bathrooms are great, there are water stations at every corner, medics always in sight, and as a regular festival-goer, there is not really much else I can ask for that Rolling Loud at Hard Rock Stadium does not already provide. The times I have had here have been unbelieveabely amazing and high in energy. The place is quite vast and it can be easy to get confused directionally, so a map is essential. The only notably bothersome thing is the process of getting to-and-from the stadium. There are no public transportation options that take you anywhere near the stadium grounds, as Miami Gardens is located more inland from the coast in a random section of town. Getting to the area via taxi includes to-be-expected traffic and at least $20 in your pocket if you're coming from the east. But getting home is a complete nightmare. Your only options are Uber, Lyft, or a taxi that will charge you $200 to take you 15 miles to Dania Beach. Every night of the festival, when 12 a.m. hit and everyone would rush to get out and call their Ubers, the Uber and Lyft apps were successful in getting absolutely nobody home. For hours it would be like this. The apps didn't work because of so many people using them all at once. On one of the nights I was in attendance, the show ended and my friend and I walked over 3 miles away (hoping our odds of finding a ride would increase the further away we were from the place) from the stadium on 2-foot wide sidewalks past 12 at night, searching high and low for a taxi sitting stationary in the surrounding neighborhood traffic that would be willing to take us to our hotel in Hollywood Beach for a price lower than $180. Once we were in the car, it was standstill traffic for miles until we got home. All of the taxis we came across before this either already had passengers in the car or were simply unwilling to take anybody at all unless we would pay an absurd amount of money. There isn't much advice I can give regarding this issue, because unless you are okay with leaving the event you paid for early in order to beat the congestion, there's not a lot you can do except hope you win the rideshare lottery for the night. Expect to pay a pretty penny and have your patience tested, while also carrying home some amazing memories.

Getting into…read morethe stadium for the College Football Championship was challenging due to high security, but they had it under control. Watching the Indiana Hoosiers win their first national championship was priceless and the empty ladies rooms were incredible!! What needs serious work is leaving the facility and Lot 44 rideshare. OMG it was a total nightmare. Someone has to do something as there were hundreds and hundreds of people just waiting at 1am for rides.... and that's after walking for a looong time just to get to the lot. Something is very broken with that!! We were stranded and traffic was horrible. We wound up leaving the lot and finding our uber driver on the main road. The ride share part of this stadium is broken. Fix it, Miami!!
