The Miami Marlins are a South Florida cornerstone. A staple that must be enjoyed, reviewed, and recommended by anyone calling themselves a South Floridian. It is also a team with a history that must be celebrated. From Edgar Renteria's World Series winning RBI and Moises Alou's contributions in 1997, to the Alex Gonzalez game-winning walk off home run in the 4th game against the NY Yankees in 2003, the Marlins posses some of the most awe-inspiring moments in baseball lore. They also have one of the most beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly constructed stadiums in all of baseball. This time around I visited the Marlins for a friend's birthday celebration. It also happened to coincide with Flanigan's sponsorship of the game, and almost everyone in attendance go a Marlin's shirt as a souvenir of the game. When it came to the game itself, the Marlin's were playing the Braves and sadly, we lost 6-1, but that was coming back from a game in which we won 6-2. The most important thing is that everyone had a blast. The crowd had fun, the players, hand fun, and a magnificent night was had in Miami.
Major League Baseball at minor league prices. This is a great way to spend an afternoon, especially when it's hot outside. They have tons of giveaways and events at the games to keep things interesting. They also have the 3 o 5 menu where you can get staples of the baseball food and drink experience for either $3 or $5. If you don't feel like waiting in lines you can order ahead from your phone and just go pick up your order. In some parts of the stadium they even have delivery available! If you're a Marlins fan then becoming a Marlins Member is for you. Get exclusive access to the stadium before games and tons of fun events for members only. I've gotten to play catch on the field, throw pitches in the bullpen and take batting practice. Plus you can visit the locker room for a behind the scenes look at things.
Is this the best ballpark in the country? Not by a longshot. But is it the one suited for Miami absolutely. The food options are plentiful and diverse mirroring Miami population. Everything from cuban sandwiches to sushi to hot dogs and pizza. And also mimicking Miami, even though there is a retractable roof in my many years of coming to this ballpark I have never ever seen the roof open. The AC is always on. The crowd is normally rooting more for the visiting team than not. But they offer many deals throughout the year to bring in the fans. Deals such as 4 for 44 (4 of each ticket, hotdogs, popcorn and soda), bottomless brunch, kids for a $1 days etc. Overall it's a decent stadium but doesn't compare to other better major league baseball parks.
This stadium was awesome! My favorite of the 3 I went to this weekend. My best friend growing up, was in Florida for work, so we met up at the game and got to check a new stadium we hadn't been to before off the list. Parking was right across the street, didnt have to walk far at all. We got seats on Field level about 13 rows up for under $40.00 including fees. Can't beat that! The stadium is set up well where you can walk around the whole thing and still be able to watch the game. The roof was open the night we were there and had a nice breeze the first half of the game. Concession prices were standard (aka expensive) for baseball stadiums. The only thing I didn't like was the PA/Sound system. Every single second of "non action" they had to blare music or hype music or whatever. It was hard to hold a conversation sometimes because of the loud ass music, constantly! Marlins lost 2-1 which was a bummer, but whatever. Got a couple of souvenirs and we were on our way. Would definitely come back and was one of the nicer stadiums I've been to.
Tuesday, July 4th, 2023 party of 4 VIP Home Plate Parking VIP suite with unlimited food and drinks Home Plate Seating Section FL6 Marlins Won Slight traffic getting into the parking areas, extremely easy VIP parking once away from general parking, no wait through security to Home Plate Suite or seats Comfortable seats, delicious food, snacks, desserts (bravo to the chef and crew) Retractable roof was closed (thank God) but those stadium lights were cooking us in real time (bring a handheld fan) Perfect center view and I'm positive we were on tv the entire time Wonderful experience from start to finish Every single employee for every single station/position was on top of their game....bravo to employees, management, and Human Resources for what seems to be flawless Only one stood out which was the Home Plate Suite female bartender with blonde hair, my friend asked for a ginger ale and got it, I asked for a soda and she told me all non-alcoholic drinks were outside. I'm cool but wtf One last side note: we were looking for a specific Florida Marlins fitted hat in the shops and they only had one but it was too big and no extras in the back then we were told we could order it online but it wasn't listed. Truly disappointing.

However, they also have the best postseason win percentage among all MLB teams (.632). Despite being over 300 games under .500 since the team's first season in 1993, the Marlins have won two World Series championships: 1997 and 2003. In those years, the Marlins were known as the Florida Marlins. The team didn't change its name to the Miami Marlins until 2012 when they changed venues from Sun Life Stadium (now known as Hard Rock Stadium), located in Miami Gardens (16 miles north of Miami), to loanDepot park (formerly Marlins Park) in downtown Miami. Before 2020, the Marlins had made the playoffs only two times and both times, they won the World Series. The Yankees actually outscored the Marlins in this series, but lost. Pitcher Josh Beckett was named World Series MVP after striking out 10 and only allowing two runs in 7 and 1/3 innings in Game 3 and pitching a complete-game shutout on the road at Yankee Stadium in Game 6. If you build it, they will come! Wish that was true for the Miami Marlins lol....although the Miami Marlins are doing well and better than expected this year, games continue to be empty as the band wagon hoppers are not believers yet. Overall, Loan Depot Park is a very nice facility. Lots of detail went into the park and I really enjoyed my times when catching a Marlins game. Not in the most convenient location as mainly a residential area, but parking is easy with a $20 flat rate with the park entrance right as you exit the garage. Total benefit with low attendance as you get to pay a reasonable price for great seats. Best of all, it's an ease to walk about the stadium and enjoy the many outlets serving drinks and food as well as merchandise. Plenty of areas to catch the game from any and all angles which is awesome! We dined at the bullpen bar and grills which fills up quickly with limited seating but offers great views near left field to catch the game while you dine and drink. Basic bar food is available but we got the Parrilla grill platter which overall was disappointing with chewy steak served which can probably give someone a jaw cramp! Park was easily accessible and very clean. Cheap seats. Good choices were adequate. Did not live the indoor stadium but I understand why. It was pouring outside. We are used to Oracle in San Francisco and that is a hard park to beat. read more
Our first time here and first time at a baseball game when the roof was closed. We've been to one domed stadium in the past, Seattle, but the roof was open and so this was a new experience. As you'd probably know, summers in southeastern Florida can be brutal. High temps and high humidity make watching a baseball game outside rather unpleasant. The stadium officially known as Loan Depot Park, is a rather unattractive giant rectangular building. We had tickets for section 13 behind home plate. I'd figure that this park like most stadiums would have a nice decorative feature by the home plate gate / entrance. It did not. We went in and immediately the temperature dropped twenty five degrees which was nice. This place has some serious air conditioning. It's strange being inside. The lighting is different but not quite like a night game. Lines were long for concessions and the game was packed with fans so they get a pass on that. The men's room I went to only had eight urinals and two toilets and this was on the main mezzanine so it was small. The outfield has large windows that stretch from left field to center and you can see the Miami skyline. It's a nice feature which adds to the ambiance. The game itself was brutal and the Yankees blew another lead yet again. Also, I would say it was a 60/40 fan split that definitely favored the Yankees. Yankee fans do travel! Overall it was a good experience. I didn't eat anything because the lines were long. My son and nephew got the standard chicken strips and fries buckets and they said that it was fine. Beers and cocktails run $15 and $20 respectively. Parking was ample but expensive at $40 and you pay via an app. Getting in and out was also brutal as the lots empty out onto local streets. The police do their best directing traffic. 3.65 in the star category. LDP is definitely on my bottom rung of stadiums that I've been to. read more

Enjoyed a Marlins game in the air conditioned stadium. Lots of food choices, all overpriced (hotdogs, burgers, fries, tacos, bbq, ice cream). read more
The game was great which it was the marlins vs the brewers. The parking cost $20 but it may change on other days. The staff provided great customer service. The marlin stadium has different places to order food. read more

4 stars, not 5 just because prices Game tickets cheap but food and drink are a bit much. $ 38 for two mixed drinks and $12 beers. But atmosphere and people working there are amazing. And stadium is state of the art. read more

7/23/23 Bark at the Park! Miami Marlin's Fabulous day! A great experience at Loan Depot Park for Bark at the Park! Fabulous day! The security entrance went quickly. The only reason some lines were slower than others is because fans don't read the entrance requirements. They bring huge backpacks that aren't allowed unless you have medical conditions or a baby. The security staff were friendly and efficient! The check in for my puppy was also very easy. Friendly staff and efficient. We have attended every Bark at the Park this year and last year! Thank you for having us on the Promenade Level this year. There are wonderful services for the puppies. A cooling area, relief area. Water stations. Affordable food and beverage. A great success! Puppy Quinn made lots of new friends. We ordered hotdogs and they were delicious and affordable! The staff at the concession's were friendly and helpful. Actually all the staff were friendly and respectful. The game was great! The Marlin's win! They beat Colorado Rockies! We look forward to attending the remaining events ! Great stadium and great parking! It's a shame they don't get a lot of support. The skyline view of DT Miami is pretty cool and the walk around the stadium with all of their displays was great. We knocked Off another stadium off our list, this ballpark was one of the better indoor stadiums we've been too. read more

Just like Bruce K. I didn't post this to this page but it ended up here. There's a glitch in the Yelp System that causes this problem. The Miami Marlins are a Professional American Baseball Team. The franchise began play in the 1993 season. Back then they were known as the Florida Marlins. I still make the mistake of calling them the Florida Marlins! I really preferred that name. I've been a fan since the beginning of their career. I lived in Florida most of my life and was there for the excitement when the team was formed in 1993. Pre Covid I watched the Marlins play in both Miami and NYC. I am definitely a long time customer buying T-Shirts, hats and attending the games every chance I get. I'm a big fan of baseball in general but they hold a special place in my heart. I tend to root for the under dog. They certainly qualify for that criteria for some time now. I've seen Marlins players come and go. If I get attached I hate when they leave the team. I'm looking forward to another baseball season. We had free tickets for a game last year but coronavirus ended that deal. I'm hoping they honor our free tickets AND I have the vaccine in time to see them play. I'm sure it will be required. I'm sure at the very least a negative Covid test result will be required. It's going to be difficult to support the Marlins when they are on the road with all these limitations. I'm going to tough it out because I enjoy watching the Marlins play live! read more

We all know the Marlins have a beautiful state of the art stadium facility, however this review is regarding their app ordering for food and beverage. I placed an order expecting for my items to be ready quicker than waiting in the long line at the concession stand. I ordered 5 beers and 1 popcorn you would think that's pretty simple however I had to wait 45 minutes- to be honest they never even contacted me for pick-up. I went and complained 4 times about the wait time and eventually my concessions were provided. Terrible service, for such a simple order. Im not into baseball, so I did not care missing the game to go ask, but such a long time for such a simple order is unacceptable. Get it together.. read more
It was a stadium, where you can watch baseball. That's about it. We've been to 10 MLB stadiums so far and was disappointed in this one. Now, they hardly have any food for sale right now (bc of Covid I'm sure), so if you want more than a hot dog or nachos, eat before. We were underwhelmed by there not being anything "extra" at the field, besides the bobble head museum. Overall, I liked that the roof was closed, and the skyline in left field looked nice. However, I don't think it's a stadium we'd return to! read more
A welcomed respite from the humidity (and the Orange Bowl), the home of the "newest team to win the most World Series titles" give you climate-controlled baseball bliss. And remember back to the good old days last year when this just plain old "Marlins Park". Easy parking factor: you'll walk a little, but at least there are lots nearby, and average-priced despite all those Northern transplants okay with $40 parking who drive up the prices. You probably won't even have to park somewhere that makes you wonder if your ride is unstolen post-game. It wasn't a traffic jam to get out after, either. Cheap ticket factor: while the stadium isn't huge, this is Miami and nobody cares that much about baseball for some reason, maybe the beach, maybe the nightlife, maybe the beach nightlife.... You'll have a good view from anywhere in this 2012 creation, and probably pay more to park than for tickets. Welcoming factor: since nobody cares all that much about the game, there's good hospitality from this expansion organization. They're definitely "new money" with those multiple WS rings, but they realize their stadium is younger than most kid fans with minimal history, and embrace it. Food factor: Feast on Latin/Cuban-inspired everything, plus of late cheaper prices as per other MLB park trends: $3 dog, $5 pork tacos, you'll be in good shape. Move freely about the cabin factor: good views all the way around, with nice bullpen views while viewing some pitches from the outfield. It would be nice to experience with the open roof. Also we didn't get shooed from the concourse behind home when standing for an inning there. Little kid souvenir factor: great visitor BP, with plenty of autograph opps. If the visitor isn't the token Northeast squad you'll be able to snag some extra time behind the dugout pre- and post-game. Bobblehead museum factor: the fact that this exists automatically earns a star. That there are some of the most iconic players and moments idolized made this a destination. Twins fans will appreciate the Kent Hrbeck WS bobblehead pushing the Brave off 1st base. Braves fans will appreciate the Twins owning their cheating like a boss. We felt close to the action with plenty to see, eat, drink at Marlins. read more

Great a/c cooled stadium to spend a day rooting for the Miami Marlins with friends and family alike. Good selection of beverages and food. Has lots of entertaining things to do while walking around. Has a walkabout museum to commemorate the history of the Marlins from inception in 1991. Parking is $20. read more

We've lived in Florida all our lives and just now made it out here to watch a Marlins game. We took a chance and bought some tickets for yesterday's 1pm game and thank goodness, the roof was closed! It was one hot summer day in good 'ol Florida. The parking situation was easy. There were several lots advertising $10 parking. We took up the offer since it literally was one block from the stadium. Stadium parking is obviously even closer for around $20 bucks. Getting inside was a breeze. You go through a bag and security check and on our way up the escalators to enter. There was a promotion for a free kids jersey for the first 5000 kids. We got there about 1 hour before the game and supplies still looked plentiful. The inside stadium was beautiful! Clean and spacious with plenty of food and drink options available. We did not go here, but Obie's was advertised in a pamphlet they handed out for cheap eats! Food and drink options were mostly $5 and $3 dollars compared others priced over at least $10 bucks. Like I mentioned earlier, they had the roof closed so it was nice and cool inside! It was a pleasant time not sweating during a game. There are plenty of windows and great lighting, so even if the roof was closed, it was nice and bright inside. read more
I mean, it's fine.... as far as ballparks go, it will probably rank for me somewhere in the low-middle by the time I've visited all 30 (it's in the middle of the pack right now, though I've only visited 17 of the 30 ballparks so far). The fact that the park has a roof is definitely a bonus (yay for no sun beating down on me during a day game in Florida! Though, holy crap... it means the screams of kids during camp or education days is reverberating all throughout the place). The Bobblehead Museum is, of course, must see. I'm super sad about Taste of Miami being removed from the stadium... which was confirmed for me as being the case once I began chatting with a member of the stadium concession staff. Seems it was all a matter of expense... too costly to run for too little revenue. I didn't pay for my game ticket, so I can't comment on the expense... but I sat about 2 rows behind the dugout for the visiting team and enjoyed the view. Part of me would like to check out the Clevelander for a game, but mostly because I want to jump in the pool anyway. In terms of the overall stadium design, I do appreciate the openness of the concourse area and that you can pretty much watch the game from wherever you are. There's just not a whole lot of personality to the stadium. I get that the home-run sculpture, for example, was big and people either loved or hated it... but at least it seemed to give the place some personality. Whenever I visit a stadium, I want to experience something that defines the personality of the team and stadium... and something that highlights the region/locale. Right now, there's just not a lot in Marlins Park that does that. TL;DR Middle of the road experience, but the stadium lacks anything that really defines it or provides personality. I'm sorry Taste of Miami is no longer available at the ballpark... at least they still have the Bobblehead Museum, I guess? read more
Ever since Marlins Paarl opened, I have always wanted to stop by, especially because the Phillies travel down to Miami 3 times a year. I decided to head down to two games this week after an extended stay at Ocean Reef in Key Largo. Marlins Park is located at the former site of the Orange Bowl, which is in Little Havana. The stadium isn't downtown or in the most convenient area, which is a bit of a hassle. It was a bit odd that once past security and inside you have to go up an escalator to reach the main concourse. Another entrance, which takes you to the Dugout Club sends you down a set of stairs. Regardless, of whether you come early during batting practice or 5 minutes before the game there is an empty feeling throughout the stadium. Marlins Park is often very empty. I attended twice including once on a Friday night where the stadium had 10,000 fans at the most. It was so empty that you could hear fans shouting from the outfield. A true baseball experience involves packed seats with true fans. Marlins Park has a retractable roof, but it was closed in both occasions that I was there. The roof is generally not open from what I've heard, especially with the heat if Miami and the frequent rain. Although, I have heard that it costs $10,000-$12,000 for air conditioning so the team is trying to open the roof more often. Regardless, the closed roof ended up not really providing a baseball atmosphere. The lack of baseball feel is also contributed to by the Marlin's Mermaids, which are practically cheerleaders and an MC. Even worse, you couldn't even understand the MC half the time and just had an unprofessional feel. I can understand cheerleaders and an MC at a basketball game, but not at a baseball game. I sat in the Dugout Club both nights and the private entrance is nice. There's also a bar and a shop, which sells snacks to people sitting in the Dugout Club. There are even attendants who will deliver food to your seats, but the options were pretty limited to popcorn, soft pretzels and primarily drinks. The main food options at Marlins Park are located on the concourse. They have a variety of items including Cuban food, pizza, chicken, sushi, dessert and traditional baseball food. I found their food options to seem a bit limited, but of food quality. The Miami Roll with salmon and cream cheese was very fresh and tasty. The pizzas were fairly small, but crispy and tasty. Finally, I tried the candy coated pretzel at Sweets, but the pretzel was a bit stale. The traditional dessert items like ice cream are a much safer option. I found much of the staff at Marlins Park to be pretty unhelpful and somewhat rude at times. The Marlins Park Art Walk on the outside and the large palm trees covered with lights were a nice touch, which provided a bit of a Miami feel. Altogether, I've been to multiple baseball stadiums including Citizens Bank Park, Petco Park and many Spring Training stadiums. Although, Marlins Park has some nice amenities there is a lack of baseball feel inside of the park. read more

Parking in surrounding areas was $10. Entry on 5th row by 3rd base was $40!! Good deals. The merchant shop was small in my opinion and needed more variety and also somewhat overpriced. Ice cream was $6 so that was a good price. Overall great experience and good customer service. read more

Not very fan friendly. No outside food allowed. No cup holders in front of your seat. Seats do not have arm rests. Arm rests and cup holders are only in the expensive seats. And the biggest sin: NOT A BAG OF PEANUTS TO BE HAD. What the hell is that about?? Peanuts and baseball is the American way! Customer service people don't know what they are talking about when it came to stadium policy. They told me no outside food allowed and then I see people bringing food in. They should get their act together. Don't know if I'll be back. read more

How early do the parking garages open before games? Specifically Saturday evening games.
Not all garages open at the same time. I know that third base garage opens about 3 hours before the game on Fridays and Saturdays.
Do they close the roof on hot days?
Depends on how hard the sun is hitting. I once went with jeans thinking the roof would be closed and it wasnt, and i had to deal with the sun in my face most of the game, and legs and thighs sweating it up! :-(
