The Miami HEAT is my favorite team in the NBA. They play at the American Airlines Arena, recently changed the name to Kaseya Center. My peak Miami HEAT fandom was 2010-2014 during the Big 3 Era that features Miami Legends Dwyane Wade, Lebron James, and Chris Bosh. I used to go to almost all the games and events during that span. It was a fun 4 year stretch as the Miami HEAT was in the NBA Finals for 4 straight years and won 2 Championships. The championship parade at the historic Biscayne Boulevard was awesome, and the championship celebration inside the arena after the parade was great! Miami HEAT players, coaches and personnel were always nice, met most of them and some of the staff were still working there and my friends to this day. Met them again in recent weeks as I went to a couple of HEAT events. The arena is beautiful, nice ocean and city view from the arena and accessible via bus or train, and parking is available inside the arena and plenty of street parking available. A lot of vendors inside the arena selling good food and drinks, and bars too. I always have a great time and have a five star experience and moments whenever I go to a Miami HEAT game or events. I was somewhat of a Miami Heat fan in the mid-2000s in part because our family regularly vacationed at Doral from 2004 to 2015. During that time, I attended Game 2 of the 2005 Eastern Conference semifinals versus the Washington Wizards; a 108-102 Heat victory led by Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem. I bought a "Wade County" T-shirt and it was one of my favorite T-shirts. The Heat would later go on to win their first NBA championship the following year (2006). At that time, little did I know Miami would deliver the most heartbreaking loss of my NBA fandom seven to eight years later in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals. That was the Ray Allen three and the Heat surviving, 103-100 in OT, against the San Antonio Spurs. You see, I was a diehard Tim Duncan-era Spurs fan. As much as the Heat were the Spurs' nemesis in 2013-2014, I did think it was impressive how they successfully constructed a roster to complement the Big Three and go to the NBA Finals all four years (2011-2014) of that era. Also, shout-out to Bam Adebayo, who scored 83 points earlier this year (2026), breaking Kobe Bryant's 81 for second-most points scored in a game. I am a local yocal who was born and raised in Miami. I had not been to a Heat basketball game in years! I purchased tickets as part of my child's school fundraiser and she was one of the lucky 25 to high five the players. We started the night early and took the metro mover to the arena which is situated downtown. Our seats were extremely high up in the 400 section; however, the energy of the fans was epic! The Heat lost but it was such a fun experience. The arena is very nice and the event staff make you feel welcome and safe. All staff knew the arena layout and made sure that we knew where we were going. I highly recommend going to a basketball game if you are in town or want a fun experience. Ill have to say its been years since ive been to a Heat game and they've really streamlined the process to make it as easy as possible. Came out with friends to the HEAT vs Pistons game, It actually happened to be star wars night as well... so was really cool to see elements from the Sci-Fi series throughout the arena as well as ppl in full costume interacting with guests, taking pictures, and doing choreographed fights. Entry was seamless. i love that you can now add the tix to ur apple or google wallet and use ur phone to get in. This time around I used the metro mover to get there and that was also super easy and dropped us off across the street. Looking forward to attending another game very soon. read more

Biased Review Warning!: I love our Miami HEAT! This is a great venue with lots to do and enjoy. They have a variety of great food vendors and spaces to hang ( like the terrace). Not to mention the HEAT store, which I always have to pass by and grab some more gear. The games are a blast. I have also attended concerts here, it pretty much promises a good view. For concerts I don't mind sitting far, so I can grab all I want for food and drinks but games I love 100 level and I will sacrifice the lines lol. I've been fortunate to have box and club seats, also super nice and convenient. Unless you have the catered suite, I suggest a quick meal and pregame drink before you get there so you can focus on the event and not waste time in line. There's usually traffic after the game so I also suggest walking to a nearby spot for dinner afterwards. GO HEAT!! read more

When you thing Miami Heat you first think D-Wade and I would think Pat Riley comes in a close second. This franchise is always finding a way to win. Good coaching staff that is able to get the most out of the players they have. Very few down years in Miami .... Orlando, check out what these guys are doing if you want to do it right. Plenty of championships thanks to the D-Wade/Shaq led team .... then of course not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5 ... well you get the idea, LBJ - D-Wade and Bosh made for one of the early super teams and were always favored to win it all. Even now the team is going through some injury issues, they still have a great core and find ways to win. They'll be in it at the end of the season (unless the injuries completely derail them). The game was so fun! Besides for the beautiful arena and close game, honestly speaking the staff at arena went above and beyond. I showed up to the arena with my friends and for some reason none of our browsers/internet were working so we couldn't access our tickets from our phones so we got redirected to the nicest staff member Melissa Nino, who is an A Team Member. Melissa went waaaaay out of her way to help us out. She even signed into my account to the get tickets on her own phone!!! But that was just the beginning. So basically I have a food allergy which doesn't allow me to eat gluten, so I brought my own food to the arena. Now most arenas I'm sure have a policy that you can't bring in your own food. But security said they'll call someone to see if they can allow it. The thing was that we were still before the point where you actually get your tickets scanned, and Melissa had the tickets on her own phone! So Melissa went above and beyond and actually waited with us until the staff member came ( and eventually did allow the food to come in) and then she scanned us through. The whole ordeal must've taken about 10+ minutes, which doesn't sound too long but when you're the security/staff of a basketball game which allows thousands of people to enter the building keeping everyone safe and making sure it goes smooth, it's a massive deal! She was awesome!! And she kept getting called that she was needed at the front lines but the stayed to help us to make our experience so memorable. Dear Heat CEO, thank you for having the greatest staff, and for having the most amazing staff member, Melissa Nino of the A team. Ok, I am a huge Orlando Magic fan, but the Miami Heat come in a very, very, very, very close 2nd. Almost too close! As long as the Magic and Heat aren't playing one another, I root for the Heat just as much as I do the Magic. When they are playing one another, I tend to be torn and it's kinda funny to watch me watch the game. It goes something like this: Orlando scores: YES! Heat scores: YES! Orlando scores: YES! Heat scores: YES! You get the drift! LOL I have been so thrilled that the Heat have taken the Championship the past 2 years. 11/10 - First ever Miami Heat Game...BONUS: they were playing the Lakers!!! It is a completely different experience when you are sitting in the arena and actually looking at the game. I kept thinking "Man, they are really good." LOL. It helps to have seats that are close to the action. The Heat dancers were great. My favorite was the US Men's Soccer Team, they did like a competition with each other shooting hoops. Bu the best was half time with Bernie, the Heat mascot, dancing to songs like Nae Nae song, Total Eclipse of the Heart and Beyonce's Crazy in Love on top of various electric roller boards. The arena seats are nice and comfy but they are pretty close to the person in front and back of you. I hit my head with some guy's knees when I was moving my head to the music. Then I had my leg crossed and some guy touched my toe as he put his arm around the chair....hahaha. Nonetheless, I had an awesome time. What a great experience!!!! read more

Currently occupying the number 1 spot in the eastern conference the Miami Heat are white hot with only a few games left heading into the playoffs. When they're on top of their game they are an extremely fun team to watch, but when they hit a slump they really dig in. During the 2020 season I was really questioning whether this team could stand the test of time, or were they just having a once in a lifetime run. Especially with how Tyler Herro was just balling out crazy as a rookie in the playoffs, but as of 2022 they have kept the core of what made them so good, and Tyler Herro is a again stepping up big, along with Jimmy Butler, and Kyle Lowry. This teams talent cup seems to runneth over. My only hope is that they don't put Udonis Haslem back in for any junk minutes, because he moves like he's 50. However Kudos to his agent for whatever deal he struck to keep this guy around, this long. It's crazy to see hime coming off the bench looking like a relic, or if nostalgia was a person! read more

I had to eat some humble pie, I personally do not like this team but will give them some credit for the win. Lebron James played like a mad man possessed in the finals and did his think with the scoring, defense and rebounding. Bosh stepped up too in the last couple of games, even though everyone says he looks like a dinosaur, He played basketball well. -So Dwayne Wade good for him, gets another ring to go along with the championship he won with Shaq. I did see the post game celebration with Chris Bosh. Yeah, it happened, it looked weird I mean he had to know he was on camera, dropping on his knees like that with all the champagne going everywhere, lol. -So Ray Allen now signs on to join this team next year. I honestly feel better for guys like Shane Battier and Mike Miller on this championship win. They worked really hard all these other years and found some way to help this year too. So, Lebron James I usually tell you to fuck off and stuff, but yeah I understand, you won it all, finally. I mean the refs helped but that is ok. Thunder actually just did not play well enough. -I do regret that Eddy Curry got a ring though I think he did what some people do just sign on for the ride and stuff. I'm not really a Heat fan but when the opportunity presents itself to watch an NBA Final, YOU TAKE IT!!! Okay, I admit I love sports. All sports. So watching an NBA Final was definitely on my bucket list. CHECK! It just so happened that Games 1 and 2 of the NBA finals were in Miami at the same time as our vacation so after the Heat clinched the Eastern Conference championship, I browsed through StubHub and picked up some tickets for Game 2. Now had this been a Lakers/Heat final, I would've been much more excited. No, I'm not a Laker fan. For goodness sake, I'm from Northern California. It's blasphemy to be a fan of SoCal teams!!! But I'll admit, I do think Kobe is pretty damn awesome. But hey, the Heat have LeBron and D Wade so that it was cool to watch them even if they were playing Dallas. It's the finals after all. So I geared up and bought myself a Miami Heat t-shirt. I did wonder when I would ever wear the shirt again but you can't go to an NBA Finals game without gearing up, right? Right!!!! Game 2 of the NBA Finals was a pretty exciting game. Wait....that's probably an understatement. It's the NBA Finals and it went right down to the wire! It's was an awesome game!!!! You can't ask for anything more. King James and D Wade made some amazing plays that left me stunned and saying "WOW" a few times during the game. The Heat were amazing up until they pulled a "Chicago Bulls" and blew a 15 point lead with 7 minutes to go. It's funny, there was a timeout when the Heat pulled ahead by 15 points and I seriously thought to myself, well this is too freakin' exciting. I'm so glad I'm here to experience this team, this arena, and this crowd. And then that wavering little thought flashed into my head.... Ummm, I hope the Heat don't pull a "Chicago Bulls" and blow this lead. And yes they did!!! Dallas beat Miami 95-93. The lone Dallas fan sitting behind us screaming "let's go Dallas, let's go Mavericks" got her wish. It was a deflating moment when the Heat couldn't pull it off. I'm not a Heat fan but when you're at the NBA Finals and you're not a fan of either team, you choose who you're going to cheer on and it's typically the home team because you get caught up in the euphoria of the moment. That...and the fact that I could never bring myself to support the Mavs. Alas, it was slightly disappointing not to have watched the Heat win but I did see an electrifying game that I will never forget. If you are looking for a ticket to the games, two trusted sources include the NBA Ticketmaster site and Stubhub. They discourage the selling and buying of tickets in front and around the arena. The best seats are in the Lower Bowl Section 100. The best value seats are in the corners and behind the basket. The Upper Bowl seats are sections 300 and 400. Games usually start at 7:30 p.m. and play starts about 7:36 p.m. You should try and be in your seats on-time for the player introductions for the best experience. For some regular season and most playoff games, you will see a number of celebrities sitting court side. They were not allowed to re-enter but the Miami Heat went on to win the NBA Championship that year. There is plenty of parking around the downtown area for Heat Games. Most of the lots charge $20+, more for Playoff Games. You can also take the Metro/Metromover. If you take the Metromover, get off at Bayside or College North (Brickell Train) or Park West or Freedom Tower (Omni Train). The Brickell and the Omni trains run on the same track so expect to be confused if you've never taken public transportation in Miami. It's electrifying and crazy hyped from the walk in to the length of the game! If you could spring for the better seats, I'd recommend it, its worth the additional cost! I went to the Miami Heat home opener last night, and I have to say, the American Airlines Arena has really stepped up their services and hospitality. I've been to many, many, MANY Heat games in my life, including one of the NBA Finals games, and the ambience and offerings have greatly improved. As I got in and looked around, the different food venues have changed for the better, offering everything from BBQ to Sushi. I was very pleased to find that now they offer a wider variety of BEER, including a 24oz bottle for only 12 bucks. Aside from the visuals and tempting food venues, the people that work there, either checking tickets or at the different booths, seemed to have received some customer service training. I can't remember the last time when I was looking for a bathroom and 2 (yes, TWO!!) different workers approached me in order to help me. So to summarize, thank you for making the Heat experience even better, and I hope that we can make it to the NBA Finals again.. While the Miami Heat was busy celebrating a "yet to be received" championship at the beginning of the season, the Dallas Mavericks were busy taking care of business to win one at the end of the season. The Heat learned the hard way that is takes a TEAM to win a championship and not just 3 guys. Although I can respect DWade, Bron Bron has shown that he chokes in the 4th and can not close a game. Scottie Pippen probably feels like an idiot for even suggesting LBJ is better than Jordan. LeBron James will never be better than Jordan. Being in the house of the Miami Heat is always great! Was looking forward to seeing the new team, and they are serving up for this year! They look good, however need to rebound the ball a bit more. The need to find their rhythm. The arena is clean, and the bathrooms are clean. Seemed like new vendors possibly. The food smelled great. They offer champagne this year. I do not remember this, not sure if this is just for tonight or going to offered all the time. Wanted to give five stars, however due to the lack of direction of the police on the street that are suppose to direct traffic I had to give a four star for overall experience. There was 1 officer with meek movements that was not able to direct traffic at all, therefore there was just a pile of cars coming from all directions honking. They need to get the officers that are well experienced in traffic flow and get the cars moving in an orderly timely motion. Lebron is still so young, it's crazy he will still be playing at this level for so many more years. The franchise from top to bottom is great. Since the Heat have been in the NBA, I've always been torn when the Heat and Magic play! For obvious reasons...cough, cough... Lebron and company are far superior.... I wish Miami wasn't a city full of fair-weather fans. Growing up in St. Louis, where everyone is obsessed with the local pro sports teams (Cardinals, Rams, Blues, even the Storm/Ambush back in the day), it was quite a change coming down here and going to Heat games and seeing the stands almost completely empty! But then along came Dwayne Wade. And with him, the 2006 NBA Championship. And sold out games. But, of course, this was short lived, as the Heat had a less-than-stellar 2007 season. Now they're back on their game, making a run for the Playoffs, with D.Wade a true MVP contender. Not to mention Udonis Haslem, Michael Beasley, and yes, even Mario Chalmers (I can't believe I'm cheering on someone from KU). And the rest of the team. Keep up the great work! At a Heat game recently, I found myself wondering why I don't come more often. Yes, there's the parking issue. But that's easily remedied (park near the Omni and hop on the Metro Mover). Even though the stands were still half-empty, I have hope. And I hope to bring some more of my STL-sports-spirit to future Heat games!! read more
