Sports are a monumental waste of time. There's the pregame research, good luck rituals, and enough statistics to make an actuary tap out. That's simply not how I want to spend my free time. But everyone I know keeps talking about Inter Miami matches like they're the second coming of E11EVEN, so I decided to go all in. Well... half in. I gambled points I had earned through hotel stays and credit card purchases via Bonvoy Moments. Marriott has a partnership with Nu Stadium, so it offers plenty of opportunities and refreshes them regularly. I bid on whichever match looks convenient and doesn't empty my points vault. After winning, I bought a presale parking pass for $40, which allowed us to get from the car door to the stadium floor in less than 10 minutes. For Inter Miami's historic 7-1 beatdown of CF Montréal, I bid 35,000 Bonvoy points, worth approximately $275, for two Club Level tickets. The package included expedited entry through a lobby that looked suspiciously like an Autograph Collection lobby, complete with a private escalator leading to the Club Level. A dozen food stations cater to everyone from gourmands to grouchy kids, while roughly half as many dessert stations keep the sugar market properly supplied. The Club Level also has clean, luxuriously appointed restrooms, which may not sound exciting until you've used a regular stadium restroom. Cocktails are available for purchase, but beer, wine, prosecco, energy drinks, and nonalcoholic beverages are complimentary. You can skip the bar lines, walk directly to the beverage refrigerators, and grab what you want like a civilized adult with excellent credit. The stadium offers great views from nearly every seat. Jumbotrons and televisions cover the venue, so you won't miss the action even if you temporarily abandon your post for another beer. Smoke blasts from the goalposts after each score, while the supporters' section maintains a relentless drumbeat of chants, flags, and controlled chaos. The match ends with a miniature fireworks display, but the real victory comes when you leave the stadium. The traffic planners must have hired whoever designed Chick-fil-A's drive-thru system. It took five minutes to walk out and only 15 minutes to reach the highway. If that sounds excessive, try leaving iTHINK Financial Amphitheater or Hard Rock Live after a concert. You'll spend at least 45 minutes trying to reach civilization. I checked the cash price of my two seats on Ticketmaster, and the total would have exceeded $400. That's steep when two à la carte seats can cost around $120, but a round of drinks and two meals can easily add another $100. If affordability is your priority, check resale platforms on game day. My recommendation, however, is to attend fewer matches and spend more for the Club Level experience. If you're sitting on a pile of Marriott points, shoot your shot via Bonvoy Moments. read more

Such a huge upgrade from the previous Inter Miami stadium! NU Stadium is massive, beautiful, and there are many photo ops throughout the stadium. They also have an Inter Miami store, which is definitely worth checking out if you want some merch. One of my favorite parts was all the food options. There are several Argentinian-inspired food stands, and we tried a couple. La Birra Bar was GREAT. We also tried a choripán from Mr. Choripan, and that was pretty good too. I will say, the food and drinks are definitely on the pricier side. A beer can be around $20, so just keep that in mind when budgeting for a game. Parking can also get expensive, so I'd recommend getting it online or going early to find parking and give yourself time to explore the stadium. My only wish is that the stadium had AC, especially because Florida gets SO hot. I know not every soccer stadium has AC, so it's not necessarily a dealbreaker, but it would definitely make the experience even better. The game presentation was one of my favorite parts. It was lively, fun, and had such a great atmosphere. We had so much fun and I can't wait to go back for another game! read more

I went to this stadium for the first time and I am so happy that I got to experience it. For the parking I didn't park at the stadium because it is overpriced. Even for the handicapped parking they don't offer complimentary parking for them. I parked away from the stadium for $6 instead of just paying like $40 for their parking. When you get in the stadium you see how beautiful the pink and black colors of the stadium. I didn't like how hot the stadium was when we you are seated. They don't have any fans blowing to the event goers. They should have a retractable roof like the marlin stadium. I only stayed in the game for a small time because of how hot it is when you are seated. However, I did find the stadium nice but they need to make sure people are not overheating while watching the game. There is also a lot of construction around the a stadium as well. read more

We really enjoyed the soccer match at Nu Stadium, and once we were inside, we had a very positive experience. However, getting to the stadium was extremely difficult and disappointing. The stadium's website states that an ADA shuttle is available from the Miami Intermodal Center for guests who need accessibility assistance. Based on this information, we chose to use public transportation. Unfortunately, there was no shuttle available. I asked at the Metro station and was told that the shuttle does not operate for every event. When we arrived at the stadium, I asked Guest Services and was told that the shuttle was not working that day. This was especially disappointing because the stadium encourages people to use public transportation, and we relied on the information provided on the website. The walk from the station to the stadium was long, and the Miami heat and humidity made it very difficult for my husband. Once we arrived at the stadium, however, the Guest Services staff were wonderful. They were extremely kind and helpful and arranged a wheelchair for my husband, which we greatly appreciated. The transportation and accessibility information needs to be much more reliable. If an ADA shuttle is advertised and visitors are encouraged to use public transportation, it should be available as promised--or there should be clear advance notice when it is not operating. I hope Nu Stadium addresses this issue, because accessibility should be a priority, especially for elderly and disabled fans. read more

Modern newly built stadium with super comfortable seats and great sight lines. The acoustics are terrible - what a shame! The tech for the food and drink stands is impressive but the prices are EXHORBITANT. $18.75 for a small choripan! WTF? Getting there via Metro was fun and an adventure -- but the little walk from the Rental Car Center to inside the stadium was closer to 25 min going through a section of the water treatment plant. They need to build a strict bridge behind the Sheraton straight into the main area for the stadium. Parking would have been $60 if we brought our own private car. The Uber/Lyft pick up area was better organized than I thought. More of the area needs to be developed, finished and paved. And bring back beer prices to $12 a can. Stop gouging us on everything! Time to make some tweaks and bring concession prices down please! read more

We ended up ordering from Coyo Taco. They also have several fun activities going on before the game so it's nice to arrive early. The game was so fun to watch! We had such a fun time at the Inter Miami game. The food and drinks were good, the energy throughout the stadium was amazing, and seeing Messi play in person made it even more special. My one complaint is the smoke--it was overwhelming where we were sitting and made it hard to breathe comfortably. Last night at Freedom Park is something I'll never forget. Being there for the very first match at the new home of Inter Miami CF just felt different, it wasn't just a game, it felt like history. What makes it even more meaningful is where it sits. This stadium was built on the old Melreese Country Club golf course, which I actually played a few times over the years. I'd be lying if I said it's not a little sad that it's gone, but honestly... what they've built here more than makes up for it. It's something the whole city can be proud of. You can tell this wasn't just another project, it was a vision brought to life by David Beckham and the Mas brothers, and it shows in every detail. I was there for the inaugural match against Austin FC, which ended in a 2-2 tie, but the score almost didn't matter. The energy in that place was unreal. From the first whistle to the last, it felt like everyone there knew they were part of something special. I was so excited for this that I even checked Yelp before the game and the stadium wasn't listed yet, which makes writing this first review and adding business now feel pretty cool after actually being there opening night. The stadium itself is beautiful. Clean, modern, and built so you're close to the action no matter where you sit. Getting in was smooth, walking around was easy, and everything just felt well thought out. I actually took the Miami Metrorail from Kendall to get there. It did require about a 10-minute walk from the station to the stadium, but honestly, it probably beats sitting in traffic. That said, I can definitely see the convenience of driving and pulling right up if that's more your style. And the craziest part, it's not even done yet. Freedom Park is going to be way more than just a stadium. There's plans for a huge public park, restaurants, shops, a hotel, and spaces where people can hang out even when there's no game going on. It's really going to turn into a full destination. After years of watching the team play up in Fort Lauderdale, this finally feels like home. You could feel it in the crowd all night. Highly recommend this stadium and tie game or not, this was a big win for Miami. Really glad I got to be there for it. read more

This place has a ways to go. First time at the new Nu stadium and it was pretty sucky. First things first getting there. What a shit show. Traffic around the stadium is dumb. We took the trolley and it took us forever to get to the drop off. If you are going to promote patrons taking public transportation you should have dedicated lanes for and drop off for said public transport. Once dropped off, even though you are a couple hundred yards away from the stadium, you have to walk all the way around for at least 15 minutes to get in. The stadium itself is new so that's nice but nothing really exciting about it. If anything, it's pretty basic. From the upper level seats, you can't see the big screen and the air flow up there is horrendous. On a hot July evening, it was like a sauna up there. Again, the food is crazy pricey but I guess that's to be expected. Not a fan of almost everything being some sort of self check out. The experience wasn't horrible but it wasn't good so I was hoping to leave early and beat traffic out cause I expected an even worst shyt show leaving But the game itself was close so we stayed And I was right. The concourse gets super packed. The exits send you in the opposite direction of where you want to go. The trek back to the trolley pick up is treacherous. If you don't critical mass across the street, you can get stuck waiting for an endless amount of cars. And then when you finally get to your trolley pick up, there is no way for the trolleys to get there since they have blocked off the route. I saw at least three trolleys approach the stadium and then turn around because I can only assume they had no other choice. My kids are getting tired and hot from all the walking. It's 11pm, an hour past the time the game ended and nothing. We had to get an expensive uber to get home. read more

I went to Nu Stadium for their inaugural game. It was really exciting to have this new stadium closer to home and to be part of this experience. We started with pre-game festivities outside. They had Astro turf on the ground and lots of food trucks. I'm not sure if this was just for this event or if that will be a regular thing, but it was fun! There is very little parking at Nu Stadium, and people were trying to sell their spots on Stub Hub for $150 to $600! The basic requirement, otherwise, is you have to take public transportation (Metrorail). There is then a mostly paved walkway and pedestrian bridge that takes about 15-20 minutes to walk which wasn't that bad (unless you're holding a sleeping 3-year-old haha). At night, the train runs only every 30 minutes. The city or Dept of Transportation will def have to increase the trains. This might be the biggest reason I hold off on returning for a while. We had to SQUEEZE on the train at the end of the night and were packed in like sardines. I do not, however, recommend getting an uber to leave either. Traffic was atrocious as we were leaving, and I think uber would prob take forever to get to you and forever to get out (unless you walk somewhere outside of that area to meet them, but there isn't much out there). Back to the actual stadium... it was really nice and pretty and clean, of course, being brand new. I loved the aesthetics of the seats and the coverage over the seats. We did feel some sprinkling go through the roof part when it started raining but it wasn't bad. The concession areas were cool. Most of them are self service. You go in and pick your drink, your hot items, and then place them on a pad at a register and it figures out (with almost complete accuracy) what you owe. I had to make a couple edits on items it thought I had but didn't. The food selection was so Miami. In addition to the typical hot dogs, chicken tenders, and nachos, they had tostones, empanadas, croquettes, and chorípan. I might be missing something. The chorípan was amazing. The tostones were a bit hard though.. I couldn't finish them. But omg the prices! While we got slightly more than we might have usually since we wanted to try everything, it cost us $140 for the three of us!! Three drinks, hot dog, chicken tenders, chorípan, and tostones. There are other cashiered places where you can get drinks as well - a can of beer is $18.75. Many of the side food carts were not open for this first game. The stadium had an incentive of $10 per person if you took public transport but only for cashier operated places. While we got that, we didn't end up getting to use it because the majority of the food places were not cashier operated. I tried to get a drink at the end of the night, but apparently they shut down their machines when the game is at 72 minutes. (Idk if this was always a thing or not at the other stadium as I hadn't ever tried to get a drink that late). I recommend getting the souvenir cup with free refills bc the refill soda fountains were open during this time. We had a fun time shopping in the two-story team store. Lots of cute things to choose from. We did have to wait in line a while just to get in the store and again to checkout. This could be bc of the first day chaos and so many people wanting to check it all out, but I'd expect it to be this way for a little while. I think that's everything. The stadium and different gates were easy to navigate. It's a pretty stadium, and I mostly enjoyed our experience. I'm giving it 4 stars for now but have hope that as things progress it will get better and the kinks will be worked out. One of these days they'll also finish all the retail and restaurant area of Miami Freedom Park which this is a part of, so that will probably improve the draw of going down there. Oh one last thing! I assume this was a test but not sure. Right before the game started, a message came up on the screens saying something like "attention please. An emergency has been reported in the stadium. Please proceed to your nearest exit and leave the stadium". No one even blinked. I asked the people around me and everyone was ‍and then the message went away. I purposely brought a small purse. When finally inside the stadium all wet. I saw several men and women with purses larger or same size as mine inside the stadium .
