After 5 years, Churchill's is back -- louder, grittier, and in your face. The same pub that launched bands, drew legends, and kept Miami underground alive. Here, anything can happen, and anything goes. This is as real as it gets.

At the time of writing this (during the pandemic) it is temp cloased, not sure of the reason, as on the web - reasons given are as follows.... rental back payments, bar license problems, tenant and owner problems. Who actually really knows. Anyway THIS is a local Little Haiti institution that anyone and his dog has ventured into over the years to check it out? and why you might ask? Well the photograpghs you can take of the stinking graffitii restrooms - which I DO HAVE (I have grown kids btw) for one. Its an actual thing Y'All! AND ALSO BEING A BRIT - gotta to check it out right? Winston Churchill....RIP

Once upon a time, you would run into everyone and their mother at Churchill's on a Monday night. It was so fun and open mic was great. The place only sometimes had a (usually) reasonable cover like $5 or something and if you were a regular, you could sometimes talk down more expensive covers. Now, you're forced to pay for dirty parking (if you park anywhere else you will get your tires popped or windows smashed because they don't exactly like it when you finesse their system) AND you also have to pay for a cover-- yes, even on open mic nights (which are MUCH less populated now). There's two pool tables which are hogged by the same people, and the bartenders will greet you with the most unfathomable amount of attitude. Churchill veterans can now be found at Las Rosas and other similar venues. I really believe Churchill's has reached the end of its time, if only they could do it with some class. For tourists or new comers who are exploring this page, take it from someone who frequents the bar scene in Miami as a local and has given plenty of credible reviews: your money and time will be much better spent elsewhere! Would have given them two stars (because of good ol' times and for always letting me in back when I was underage) if it hadn't been for their immature and unprofessional response they left under my comment on Instagram-- which I am including a screenshot of! Won't be surprised if another petty response is given here on Yelp!

What an utterly delightful little punk rock bar! I wasn't expecting to find a home away from home (Providence, RI), but Churchill's is it! Stickers line the well stocked bar, the locals were a hell of a lot of fun to shoot pool with, and the bartender was as gracious as she was pretty (that's NOT New England sarcasm!) I just wish I was there when a live band was playing. Their live room reminded me of my youth in the 90's.

Churchill's is a piece of shit... but it can be your piece of shit. It's just that kind of place. It's a horrible disgusting pigsty with fly-swarmed bathrooms that will make you gag, sometimes bordering on hostile staff, and a random load-bearing column that obfuscates the stage throughout what should be prime viewing location, but that all somehow adds to the appeal. Just fucking go. It's impossible to explain how great it is until you're there. Why else would anyone ever pay an amount closer to 10.00 than 0.00 for a PBR at a bar in such a bad neighborhood? Life-changing shows and crazy people hang out here. In particular, go for any noise music related events you possibly can. Go for Sweatstock, where performance artists, confused-looking first timers, smug hipsters, and an eclectic mix of locals mingle and buzz. Go for Rat Bastard, who has been a fixture for decades. Forever after your first show, you'll recognize him in the background of countless other shows. Go for the chance that you might see the legendary Iggy Pop about five feet from you. Play it cool though. Churchill's is the soul and spirit of everything that is sincerely weird and freaky in Miami.

Yeah, I had a very happy experience in Churchill's. I sat at the bar and had fun talking to people. We laughed in there. Smoke filled the room, when a House Music group performed. There were lots of freebies. What I didn't like was that I spent my whole $10 on the juke box and 1 game of pool. The music was perfect, and it was well worth it. To hear Ella Fitzgerald!

One of the bands playing at Churchill's. The singer thanked me personally for supporting them. Nice folks, good music!

It's made with Maple Bacon Infused Maker's Mark, vanilla cinnamon syrup, bitters and cedar smoke. So good! I also recently tried the Red Flag made with Cazadores Blanco, lime, agave, strawberry-infused Aperol, and topped with bubbles. So refreshing and tasty. You cant go wrong with any of their cocktails. If you love cruising which I do and you love craft beer, you will absolutely love District Brew House. It is located on deck 8 towards the front of the ship. When I was on my cruise, it was the best kept secret on the ship. If you have cruised on a mega-ship like the Escape, you know getting a drink, especially in a frequented club or on the pool deck will usually mean long lines. On the Norwegian Escape, me and my friends did a test. One group of my friends stood in the line in prime time in the evening at Spice H2O on Deck 17 towards the rear of the ship. My group left them, walked all the way to District Brew House on 8 in the front of the ship, ordered drinks and came back. The group at Spice H2O were still waiting for their drinks. From that day on, we made it a point to stop in District Brew House before going anywhere else. Things you need to know about District Brew House on the Norwegian Escape: 1) They have draft beer and craft bottles 2) It wasn't too crowded and the service was great 3) We had the unlimited drink package and all our beers were FREE 4) At night they had a piano player from 9 pm until... 5) In 7 days you can try every beer they have, if beer is all you're drinking
