This is so crazy I've been a Finnegan's regular for over 4 years. I went by tonight with a group of friends and it started raining. While standing on the side of the door waiting for the rain to stop, the general manager who was sitting in a table with his partner both yelled at us quite rudely and told my friends and I to move from the doorway. We were confused because we were only standing there during the rain. It was only natural for us to respond and say "hey we are just waiting for the rain to stop" but their response was "well then buy a drink" Excuse me!?! We already did and how is it ok to be rude knowing it's raining to say buy a drink to stand for a few minutes while the rain stopped. This is just quite disappointing. Finnegans is my mid stopping point to buy drinks every time I'm walking Lincoln road so it was seriously embarrassing to have my friends experience this as I was giving them a tour of Lincoln road. BTW the people in the pics are the ones I'm talking about. I was very disappointed by this experience and am reconsidering whether I will spend my money here again!

Finnegan's Road is located at Lincoln Road Mall...this is a nice little dive bar to take a break from shopping or walking. This Irish themed bar has plenty of seating available indoors and outdoors. We stopped by here to grab some beers and bar food on a sunny December day. Popcorn Chicken: The popcorn chicken was pretty good. There was plenty of chicken meat for 'popcorn' chicken and the chicken was pretty juicy. Mozzarella sticks: Fried perfectly, nothing like taking down sticks of cheese with marinara sauce The beer offerings is pretty extensive here at Finnegan's. Tons of IPAs, stouts and beers from different regions. We sat at the bar and our bartender was friendly. She would disappear for awhile so we didn't get all the refills we wanted from the tap. That probably ended up working out for us because we only had 2 beers vs 4 beers. If you need a quick drink for whatever reason and you're at Lincoln Road Mall...this is an adequate bar to take a break from shopping or walking. Cheers!

Came to watch some football with friends on Sunday. I don't watch football let's just say I joined them. It was ok, staff was friendly. Bud light was handing out free beers which was great. Awkward was I went to the bathroom then noticed there was no paper so had to wait there until someone else came in hahaha only me :)... anyway please check your nasty bathrooms thanks

Yes it's touristy because it's on Lincoln Rd so it gets an unfairly number of bad reviews by people who have seldom or never reviewed on Yelp. But for us locals during the slower season, we love it. Great service, delicious fish and chips and cold beer.

Had a fun time at this Pub on a Saturday afternoon. It' situated on a corner of the very busy and restaurant-heavy Lincoln Road Mall. Containing a fair-sized menu of tasty Pub-Grub, the location has big screen TV's and a pool table. Beers cost us $6.50 for Draft Imports, Mixed drinks set us back anywhere from $11-14. Many of their mixes with Irish cream and amaretto, including the B-52 and some of the bombs, were very flavorful. My favorite drinks, however, were the beers. Being in an IPA mood, we gravitated towards Lagunitas, Endless, and Brooklyn IPAs - all were delicious cold pints straight from the tap - very satisfying. We also had a Guinness, which hit the spot. All of this was paired with some of their famous Buffalo Wings, which had a fantastically crispy batter. The philly cheese steak egg roll was also quite good. The biggest detractor I think would be the cost of the mixed drinks - with a Manhattan costing $14. In total, 5 drinks and 3 food items set us back about $100. It was very enjoyable though and we had a great time. Some specials on mixed drinks would be welcome, as well some more hot sauces for their great wings. All in all, a good place, I would definitely come back when I'm in the area for beers and wings.

This place literally has to be supported on drug money, because I cannot fathom how they operate as a legitimate business. The waitresses are rude and snarky, and possibly allergic to work due to how little they're actually around (even during slow periods). The only reason I've come multiple times is because they're right across the street from our office. Let me tell you, every time it's a different issue - but there's always the same rude absurdity. This time around, multiple servers mentioned 50% off bar food when asked. Hell, food specials are even mentioned on their menu. When check time came around, we were told that there have never been happy hour food specials. One of the servers called individuals in our group liars and got confrontational, saying "what you're just trying to get free food??". Honestly just overall trashy behavior. When I pointed out what was mentioned on the menu, the manager said "oh that's from a long time ago." Point is, if you're looking for the Jerry Springer of dive bars, but not as entertaining, you might have an ok time here... Otherwise, do yourself a favor and eat/drink literally anywhere else on Lincoln Road.

Was in town for vacation and came to happy hour. We ordered Moscow miles and the appetizer platter that they had. For a quick bite it was good. You can't go wrong with chicken, fries, mozzarella sticks, and Moscow mules.

This nasty bar charged us $20 to play one round of pool when the pool table next to us that unfortunately was occupied only paid equivalent of $3. That is robbery and discrimination & will not be coming back here ever again. I recommend staying away from this bar. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we were only gay people in there. I did a search on Yelp and came across Mehzcla which had a number of high rated reviews. I always read the bad reviews to see what people are complaining about but do so with a grain of salt. The complaints were regarding service and price, which I will address. Mehzcla is the hotel restaurant for the Lord Balfour and consists of patio seating and seats in the lobby and lobby bar. The night we went, there was bartender/server and another server handling the restaurant. It wasn't terribly busy and looked like a number of people were just having drinks on the patio where we sat which provided great people watching on Ocean Drive. They have a happy hour with $10 mixed drinks, appetizers, and meals that runs until 8 pm. The restaurant is billed as Latin but I'd say it was more of pub fare with maybe a Latin flare. The two servers rotated taking care of us and were polite, friendly, but hard to find from time to time. We ordered mixed drinks which could have used more alcohol but were tasty. I had a mescal margherita with a spiced rim (which I had to request and describe). Had the hot fried chicken sandwich and had no complaints about the chicken. The sandwich came with fries which were pretty good. Only complaint is that I like to have my fries spiced up, which most restaurants can accommodate. I asked the server for my fries to be spiced and gave several options on how to do it. Fries came out plain with no explanation why my request was not accommodated. Had the churros for dessert. Three large churros covered in cinnamon sugar with chocolate and Carmel dipping sauce. The churros were good except one was a little over cooked. It was an ok experience for something quick and not having to spend a ton of money. Still much better options in SoBe.

I realized that I had not actually been to this location since it was The Playwright (or whatever it was called) 4 or 5 years ago. The updated interior is nice - very "pubby" - and they offer a good variety of seating from bar seats to high-tops to couches. Two things here that were standouts: First, the burger is one of the best burgers I've had on South Beach. So much so that I'm craving it again this morning. They've done a good job with the menu in that it still has all those bar foods that you look for in a place like this, but they've put some thought into elevating a number of items (e.g. the short rib poutine!) Second, the service was great. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name - a nice guy from Kendall) was very friendly and provided excellent service. As many reviews mention, this is definitely a place to watch a game. While we weren't there for this purpose last night, the TV setup is great and I could def see myself camping out there with a few beers on a weekend afternoon.
