This has been a go-to spot for a few years for their cold beer, to catch a game and people watch on Lincoln Ave. We typically sit outside with weather permitting and gather around the large screen TV. The service is always quick and friendly. Plenty of beer options on tap and a huge selection in bottles. The snacks are great be it jalapeño poppers or a large basket of fries. Stopped by during the mid afternoon while waiting for my next consulting job in a few hours. Not busy and the atmosphere was light. Plenty of TV screens for sports fans and patrons were engaged as there was a soccer game and baseball game on. My buddy and I sat at the bar, as we could tell Service was minimal but appropriate considering the lightpatron volume. Ordered the fish and chips just to eat something light with our drinks. Our bartender/server, Julia, was great! Drinks were made to order and she was pleasant with ensuring we got what we were looking for in food and beverage. She was fully attentive every time she walked by taking care of other customers. Finnegan's Road is located at Lincoln Road Mall...this is a nice little dive bar to take a break from shopping or walking. This Irish themed bar has plenty of seating available indoors and outdoors. We stopped by here to grab some beers and bar food on a sunny December day. Popcorn Chicken: The popcorn chicken was pretty good. There was plenty of chicken meat for 'popcorn' chicken and the chicken was pretty juicy. Mozzarella sticks: Fried perfectly, nothing like taking down sticks of cheese with marinara sauce The beer offerings is pretty extensive here at Finnegan's. Tons of IPAs, stouts and beers from different regions. We sat at the bar and our bartender was friendly. She would disappear for awhile so we didn't get all the refills we wanted from the tap. That probably ended up working out for us because we only had 2 beers vs 4 beers. This is so crazy I've been a Finnegan's regular for over 4 years. I went by tonight with a group of friends and it started raining. While standing on the side of the door waiting for the rain to stop, the general manager who was sitting in a table with his partner both yelled at us quite rudely and told my friends and I to move from the doorway. We were confused because we were only standing there during the rain. It was only natural for us to respond and say "hey we are just waiting for the rain to stop" but their response was "well then buy a drink" Excuse me!?! We already did and how is it ok to be rude knowing it's raining to say buy a drink to stand for a few minutes while the rain stopped. This is just quite disappointing. Finnegans is my mid stopping point to buy drinks every time I'm walking Lincoln road so it was seriously embarrassing to have my friends experience this as I was giving them a tour of Lincoln road. Had a fun time at this Pub on a Saturday afternoon. It' situated on a corner of the very busy and restaurant-heavy Lincoln Road Mall. Containing a fair-sized menu of tasty Pub-Grub, the location has big screen TV's and a pool table. Beers cost us $6.50 for Draft Imports, Mixed drinks set us back anywhere from $11-14. Many of their mixes with Irish cream and amaretto, including the B-52 and some of the bombs, were very flavorful. My favorite drinks, however, were the beers. Being in an IPA mood, we gravitated towards Lagunitas, Endless, and Brooklyn IPAs - all were delicious cold pints straight from the tap - very satisfying. We also had a Guinness, which hit the spot. All of this was paired with some of their famous Buffalo Wings, which had a fantastically crispy batter. The philly cheese steak egg roll was also quite good. The biggest detractor I think would be the cost of the mixed drinks - with a Manhattan costing $14. In total, 5 drinks and 3 food items set us back about $100. It was very enjoyable though and we had a great time. Some specials on mixed drinks would be welcome, as well some more hot sauces for their great wings. All in all, a good place, I would definitely come back when I'm in the area for beers and wings. read more

This place literally has to be supported on drug money, because I cannot fathom how they operate as a legitimate business. The waitresses are rude and snarky, and possibly allergic to work due to how little they're actually around (even during slow periods). The only reason I've come multiple times is because they're right across the street from our office. Let me tell you, every time it's a different issue - but there's always the same rude absurdity. This time around, multiple servers mentioned 50% off bar food when asked. Hell, food specials are even mentioned on their menu. When check time came around, we were told that there have never been happy hour food specials. One of the servers called individuals in our group liars and got confrontational, saying "what you're just trying to get free food??". Honestly just overall trashy behavior. When I pointed out what was mentioned on the menu, the manager said "oh that's from a long time ago." Point is, if you're looking for the Jerry Springer of dive bars, but not as entertaining, you might have an ok time here... The upmost disrespectful experience at a place I visit frequently. My family and friends were buying drinks while we waited outside with our dogs when it abruptly started drizzling and we decided to seek cover near the entrance but not at all directly blocking the door way, when out of nowhere this Gentleman (who claimed to be the general manager) along with his lady Partner and their Dog who they had sitting on a chair at the table with them began to rudely verbally attack us to move out of the way. We walked into Finnegans after walking for quite some time. We were on our honeymoon, had been traveling around quite a bit, tired, sore feet, HOT.. (not used to FL humidity), just needing a drink and very hungry. The bartender (Sofia) did not greet us, didn't acknowledge us, and was super standoffish when we finally made the effort to go TO HER at the bar after sitting at a table for a quite a few minutes hoping to be greeted or served. She had been glued to her phone. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. she was way too concerned about getting back to her phone to offer us a menu, and even when we ordered drinks, she said very few words to us. Served us, then right back to her phone. Continued to be on her phone the ENTIRE time we were there. Clearly very low work ethic. We got our food and when we asked for a side of ranch, the male server (didn't catch his name) was also pretty rude, but also just abruptly said "it'll cost more. ". No definition of how much more "more" is, and very abrupt like we were putting him out of his way by asking for ranch. We overall had a bad experience here. And I rarely leave bad reviews like this. Our repartee went a little like this: Her: "What?!!" Me: "(gulp) Um, hi. Could I get a Red Stripe?" The roast beef sandwich was NOT on a hoagie, like they usually are but on a small roll, with such little meat I couldn't believe they were charging us $8 for it. The wings?? FRIED CHICKEN, no sauce. Sign reads "happy hour 4-7 ... 2x1 beers" (see pic attached) After I ordered another round, I confirmed with the server the 2x1. She says "no, that's for Monday thru Friday only..." She then goes in quickly and comes out even quicker to wipe the sign clean. I asked for the manager three times. This requests were ignored. I was, though, happy with the server's quality of work and did not want to cause a scene, as I saw the server taking it rather personal. I'm a local and I generally enjoy this bar. However, what went on this time is unacceptable, even for Miami. Totally see tourists falling for this, but I don't think this is good or honest practice. Manager checked with the server in front of me (in Spanish), while it was admitted that the request for a manager had been ignored at the time, after the server failed to truly understand what it was going on. Manager then explained that it was the "other side of the sign that was meant to be read by the public", not the side that was facing me and anyone walking to the venue on Michigan Ave, headed northbound. Really? When my parents are in Miami Beach for the winter they are regulars here. So needless to say every time we visit we are at Finnegan's as well. Finnegan's is located on Lincoln Road which is a very touristy area, Finnegan's is not a tourist trap, it is where the locals hang out. Would not recommend! . Restaurant wasn't busy maybe 1/4 full if that.. I had placed my order and specifically requested my salad come first. It's a simple request. Salad came out with my meal, not first. I explained to her I had requested it. So I refused the entire order salad and entree told my waitress I'd pay for my beverage asked for the check. She went to get a manager about the bill since my order was already prepared. She came back and said don't worry about it Never got an apology or did a manger ever come to the table. I'm sure my check was voided in the system and food thrown out, at the expense of whoever owns the establishment. As the owner you should know the accountability of your staff is none. At oat the end of the mall sat Finnegan's Road an Irish Restaurant/ Bar. I said I know I can get some good fish and chips here. WRONG!! Who the hell authorized this cafeteria style and size of fish. Maybe Fionn Macool in Jacksonville spoiled me because this is not the quality of fish and chips I was expecting. Really, it reminded me of the fish they serve in school cafeteria. It was thin, tasteless and dry. Yes it a crispy thin coating and was golden brown but tasted like blah! French Fries were hot. The bartender served nice strong drinks. I got a drunk called Skittles a sour but strong fruity drink . I wouldn't order it again . I've had it before but it tasted different here. Everyone liked there drinks, mine was ok. The waitress was not very welcoming. When I asked for more napkins she kinda slammed down the whole napkin dispenser like... here b don't bug me no more. She spent a lot of her Time congregating with the other waitresses at the front door.
