Sometimes they decide to close early, with your clothes locked inside ‍ A lady came in tonight at 5:50 saying that they were closed, though their sign states "last load at 6pm". Our clothes weren't dry yet, and we paid for the dryer time already, so we argued and the lady said they would close at 7pm. Came back at 6:40 to pick up our laundry, and it was all locked up. read more

Dear White Flag Coin-Op... Without you, I'd never have clean clothes throughout the entirety of my senior year of college, how can you thank a business for something so significant? It's hard. Reliable, yes. White Flag is a community staple, which is slightly more important than my hygiene. As a proud owner of a washer & dryer, I'd still go back to visit White Flag to do a couple loads if I was up north - because it was just that great. Right next to Biffs Bagels & Macy's (free wi-fi, yes) and it's probably the only place I sat down and read The Lumberjack. DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY at this place!!! This place is a total scam!! Nothing works! Did one load of laundry and it stopped half way through and would not spin out my clothes. Lost like $5 in change on dryers that just ate my change or would not work. Finally got a dryer that I thought worked and my clothes were still soaked!! So.... I'm standing in the large supply closet speaking to my friend on the phone. The owner comes over and tells me I'm not supposed to be in the closet and tells me to get out of it. Then he asks me why I'm in there. I explain to him the music was loud and I was trying to have a phone conversation. By the way, the door which was large was open. He then told me the closet is his and I'm not allowed in it. He also informs me than the radio is his and he can turn it up as loud as he wants. He repeatedly asked me why I was in the closet and informed me that the closet and the radio are his. I continuously agreed with him and apologized multiple times all the while referring to him as sir. He continued to interrogate me and I informed him to call the police if he had a problem. The interrogation continued with me agreeing with him about his property rights and me becoming more annoyed. As context, there was nothing in the closet of value and my $50k 2017 F150 was in the parking lot. Ultimately he said he was going to call the police but seemed to have difficulty doing so with his flip phone so I called them. As for the facilities - 2 triple washers, 3 double washers and the single load washers are top loading. read more

Do not come here. The owner is extremely aggressive and rude to his customers for no reason. He has the habit of closing the laundromat down while you are still washing/drying your clothes. If you leave while your clothes are washing/drying he might lock the place, rudely demanding you come back the next day if you want your clothes. The machines are all old and dirty anyway, so "washing" your clothes here may mean just making them more dirty. You would have a better experience washing your clothes in a nearby pond, or at the very least take your business elsewhere. read more

My clothes came out of their washing machines sopping wet. Spin cycle = worthless. And my sleeping bag smelled worse than when I put it in after it was done 'washing.' I I put my laundry in the dryers, left for a business meeting and came back. They had closed more than 1 hour earlier than their posted hours (and it was not a holiday nor Sunday), with my clothes and bedding still in their dryers. No note on the front door. Clean, reasonably priced, quiet, easy my kind of place. The machines work good and are verry easy in use. It was actually the first time I did my laundry outside my own washing machine but it leaves me nothing to wish for. read more

I've been traveling the nation since September and I've been to my fair share of laundromats, this is without a doubt one of the bests I've been to. It's located in between a darling coffee shop/lunch spot and a breakfast joint. It was basically empty when we went which I loved. I got to sit outside and enjoy the amazing weather. It was clean, no riff raf. I didn't see an attendant but I didn't need one. They have change machines and detergent machines. If I lived here I would make this my go to place. I love how close this place is to my apartment. Decent prices and never too crowded. It's a bit older, but I think that gives it some Southside character. Considering so many wonderful establishments in the Southside are getting put out of business. Plus, unlike some of the other laundromats around town there aren't people wandering around trying to sell their junk or jewelry to you! read more

What do you say about laundromats, they are full of washers and dryers. Other than that, this little place on Beaver Street was a godsend, it was the cleanest and best maintained little laundromat I found so far in Flagstaff. Also, it is sandwiched right between two little restaurants right down the street from NAU so you can sit out front have a nice cup of coffee while doing your laundry and people watch if that's what you wish to do. It is a coin-operated laundry, with no ATM on the premises however a quick walk down Beaver Street there's an Arizona State credit union with an ATM so you get cash and get change to run the washers and dryers. All in all, a great laundromat with a great location. If you are in an emergency situation and you need to wash your clothes there is no better place to go than this little shop... read more

I am sitting in this laundry mat on July 2, 2016, and the machine (#25) just ate all my money and jammed. The washing machine will not work; I do not have enough money to fill another machine, I've already put all the soap into the machine that is not working...there is no phone number to reach anyone in need of assistance; the phone # on the website rings inside the laundrymat...how unhelpful is that !! I can hear my own calls ringing and unanswered. No one in the place to help. I have never seen such a ridiculous set up where I cannot get any assistance. The neighboring businesses cannot help either, not that they are responsible...but really, If you run a business, at least give the customers a way to get some help when your equipment breaks. I had to unload my dirty laundry and take it elsewhere, and wasted another hour of my time. Not a great way to run a business and not a great way to keep customers coming back to your business. read more

I have been to White Flag Coin-Op several times in the past and had no complaints. It is clearly old and run down, but it gets the job done and you pay for what you get (it is fairly inexpensive). However, I did not rate higher because the last time I went one of the machines I was using broke down mid wash and the attendant there claimed it was done and fine (it had over 10 minutes on the wash cycle left, he had tried to put the washer lid up to hide the remaining time, but I can read). I ended up having to take my dripping wet clothes and throwing them in the dryer for well over an hour and a half to get them damp, not dry. He didn't offer me a refund and kept assuring me stuff like this is normal and it happens. I don't think it is normal to go get a cup of coffee next door, come back, and find water everywhere, my clothes not properly washed, and my time wasted because a dryer isn't meant to dry soaked and dripping wet clothes. read more
