I have been to a few bridal places and I decided to get my dress from White Collection. At first, I wasn't sure if I should buy or rent my dress. White Collection had both options so I decided to rent. I was nervous about ruining my dress and it not fitting (I'm very short). Jenny put my mind at ease by telling me that all I have to worry about is finding the perfect dress and she will worry about fitting it to me and that the most they asked for a bride for dress cleaning is 50 dollars and that was for wine that was spilled on the front. Joann and Jenny are great. They are very willing to help and make things work. They have been so patient with me being indecisive. They have given me advice about some wedding ideas because I welcomed it. They are really patient and helpful! They have been pretty good at responding back to me in a timely manner, whether it is through email, text message, or phone call. They also have been very patient with my mom who has been calling them with her own set of questions :). I recently got a makeup and hair trial there and the artist was nice and listened to what I wanted. She came in on Good Friday to do my trial because I had off that day from work. I didn't feel rushed and she was giving me tips and other ways my wedding makeup could be done. My wedding is in December so I will update with more info! It's my first time review on Yelp and I would love to share my wedding with White Collection. It was such a pleasure and peaceful experience from the very beginning. They have wedding packages that include flowers, wedding dress, engagement photo/wedding photo, hair and makeup..etc..or we could just choose few options on their list. We chose a wedding package so the only thing we had to do was make an appointment with them and be there on time. I never write yelp reviews because I don't feel it's necessary but I had to because my experience with Jenny was one of the worst. My bridesmaids, my mom and I walked out of there feeling scolded and belittled. I was not sure of what dress I wanted and I believe that is why you go to these bridal shops - to figure out what you want to try and what works. She kept showing me the same types of dresses that I did not particularly love but that is not why I am giving white collections one star. Jenny proceeded to show her frustration at my uncertainty (let me just say, I was not at all ever rude nor demanding or anything in that nature) and proceeded to tell me to go somewhere else and try on everything at "other retail stores where you can try everything on." Because clearly their store is not that kind of store. They show a few dresses and then more once you sign with them. After I went here, I went to many other bridal shops and I have never had a similar experience to this one. I went here because a friend of mine had used Jenny once a long time ago but wow, this treatment was condescending and I literally walked out fuming inside. TLDR; I have no idea what nonsense the 1-star reviews are saying because my experience was fantastic! My wedding was amazing thanks to White Collection! Jenny, Joann and Amanda were all wonderful and accommodating in every way. From helping me pick out the perfect dress, to planning out the big day in incredible detail, they paid attention to every little thing to make this day perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better team! One of the things I appreciated most was their organization. Our first meeting was extremely efficient and they explained their packages, prices, and policies very clearly. I also really appreciated that they wrote down all the specific details that I had in mind and genuinely made me feel like they were on my side and would do anything to make my day exactly how I wanted it to be. And that's what they did! They always listened to my concerns and helped me make decisions by giving sound advice and suggestions. Referring to some previous reviews, I understand that for some, Jenny can come off as very straightforward. However, she's done this for awhile and has the experience and acumen that not many people have. She understands the necessity of efficiency, effectiveness, and how to run the day fluidly. If it wasn't for her honesty, straightforwardness, knowledge and efficiency, my wedding would have been an absolute mess! White Collection has a huge assortment of dresses of all different styles and sizes. When choosing dresses for me to try on, they catered to my preference while also sharing their honest opinions. White Collection also connected me to the most amazing vendors who really went above and beyond! The hair/make-up artists, photographers, cinematographer, florist, limo service, DJ and MC were so fantastic and I had no complaints! My wedding was actually planned to be an outdoor wedding. Unfortunately, the worst-case scenario happened and the weather was awful so we had to move everything indoors. Even though this is something that would obviously be very stressful, the team took care of everything behind the scenes and left me stress-free and completely at ease. And that's saying something because I am a total worry-wart! The guests were all raving about the wedding and reception and they continue to speak about it months after it has passed! I have no idea how this place maintained a 4 star rating. They didn't have a wide variety of dresses in the color the bride selected and they never got in more styles like they promised. The bridal makeup job was shoddy and I (as one of the bridesmaids) ended up fixing the bride's makeup multiple times throughout the day. They try to get you to shell out an extra $500 for their makeup and hair person to follow you throughout the day and powder your nose and fix your hair (NOT WORTH IT). I understand the idea of having all your wedding needs being addressed by one company but this is not where you want to go. read more

This is a long overdue review. (circa summer of 2012) I was referred to this boutique by my friend who also purchased her wedding dress here. I'd always noticed this store when driving down Northern. It stands out as it's well kept with an ever changing display in the window. I had my heart set on a certain dress but when I tried it on at RK Bridal - it was in a dress size 10x bigger than what I am. My conundrum: order the dress in my size and pray it fits and flares where I wanted it to or find a similar style dress. I made an appointment and showed Jenny some pictures of the style I was looking for and she helped me find a very similar dress to the one I wanted. The dress was 99% similar to the one I wanted but this one was only 1 dress size away from my size. The BONUS - it was also a lot less than the original dress I wanted! So here's a tip for you ladies: If you're not a double digit size and you don't trust the sales person at the other Bridal shops in the NYC area - Call to make an appointment and try on dresses in your size! Yes it's that easy. It's by Appointment only! The store is kept in immaculate organized order and brightly lite with a huge fitting section (one bride to be at a time!). She gets in new styles and they put in a lot of effort in the window displays and table settings. After purchasing my dress, I had numerous fittings. That's what I get for picking a lace dress. The weeks that led up to my wedding were filled with dress fittings. Jenny and her seamstress were always quick to get me and in and out of them. After the big day, I even returned my dress for it to be cleaned & packaged. I was so happy with the level of service and attention, I recommended this boutique to my sister in law. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Trying on dresses for your big day is supposed to be fun and exciting, however, at white collection it is the complete opposite. The second you walk in you immediately feel uncomfortable. When I called to make my appointment they neglected to tell me that they do not carry anything in my size nor did they inform me that it would be an issue if I arrived with more than four people (I arrived with a few family members - I wanted honest opinions from those who know me personally). When I arrived they sat with me for roughly 10-15 asking specific bride related question, but when it came down to "attempting" to try on the dress they forgot that I was even the bride; how do you forget who the bride is after spending time discussing size, style, and the fit I'd want...I DO NOT KNOW?! This was truly such a horrible experience. If you would like to have a positive experience with great customer service and a welcoming warm feel DO. NOT. GO. HERE. All the spelling errors on their website should have been the strong indication that this was NOT the place to find my dress. read more

My wife and I first approached White Collections to help us arrange for an engagement photo shoot. To be honest, I was a bit uncertain at first because I had no idea what to expect as the dummy groomzilla, and there wasn't any upfront pricing or price lists. However, after we've chatted a while with Jenny and Joann, we developed a high level of trust and comfort knowing that we'd be well taken care of. On wedding gowns & tuxedos, Jenny was very helpful in narrowing down styles (they do rentals) and was very patient and honest. Joann was very detailed and explained the pricing and process for the shoot. After our very positive experience, we decided to engage White Collections to help us again on arranging our wedding reception. They knew that this was our reception #2 and were very accommodative to our budget. Yet they pieced together an excellent combination for the makeup, floral arrangements, music/emcee, photographer, & videographer. We just received our photos and videos (by Lenny and Craig) and loved it. The night was just perfect. We had so many compliments from our guests on the flowers. Our guests ended up taking most of our floral arrangements home (luckily we were able to keep a few for ourselves!) What we really liked about Joann and Jenny is that they really paid special attention to what we liked/disliked and kept to our theme. They were on point with timing and kept us updated on when we needed to do certain tasks (pick song lists, pick a cake, etc.). They were great with communication and always replied quickly to emails and text messages (except on days when they're preparing for weddings of course which is totally understandable). read more

Jenny from White Collection was amazing to work with. I brought my wedding dress here to be tailored and she did a wonderful job. She even gave me advice in order to keep the cost down. We also rented the groom and groomsmen tuxes here and she did a wonderful job tailoring the groom's tux. She even gave us recommendations on which tux to go with in order to match the style of my dress! Only glitch we had was with the groomsmen's tuxes, one of the jackets were missing a hole for the button (so weird!) and another jacket was too small even after they did the fitting. But either way, the groomsmen were able to take care of that so I would not let this deter you from coming here. I really enjoyed working with Jenny and her staff. I tried to find the wedding dress store in flushing, no dout white collection is the best. They have the best wedding dress collection and very reasonable price. We booked here two weeks ago and we flew from Florida yesterday for the wedding dress photography. They did really good job and we are satisfied with everything.no complain at all.we also like the photographer they arranged for us as well as the makeup designer. I initially found my wedding dress in a boutique in Kentucky while visiting my mother, but searched for it in NY and luckily I found it at White Collections, only minutes from my home in Queens. Jenny is amazing! She fitted me for my dress, as well as my mother and future mother-in-law's dresses (even though they purchased them elsewhere!). Her knowledge and expertise kept us all at ease. Her warmth and kindness always made each fitting a pleasure. In a moment of panic a few weeks before my wedding, I emailed Jenny in the middle of the night (4am!) with questions about my dress. She answered me moments later, putting my mind at ease and allowing me to go back to sleep (sorry about that, Jenny!). She listened to every question and concern and addressed each one. My wedding was on 9/20/2014. I was very glad to work with them. Jenny and Joanne really knew what they were doing. I was on tight budget, but they really helped me making everything I wanted to come true. It was the best choice to rent my wedding dress and all the accessories came with the rental (And the gorgeous waist band!!!!). I loved my dress as well. I was extrememly satisfied with the centerpieces and bouquet. They were amazing. They really knew what I wanted and make it exactly. I loved everything about the flowers. Make up and hair was ok. I think I could have done better. And I think I didn't have enough time the day of, so make sure you have enough time to do your make up and hair. But I was so happy with other things, it didn't really bother me. Photographer; I went with Dh studio which was such a great choice. Don made me and my husband feel very comfortable. We hate taking pictures and I am not photogenic at all, but Don told us what to do and gave us good instructions, which was very helpful. He was very professional and nice. And we finally got our photos a couple of days ago, and I am in LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The photos are how I wanted exactly. Nothing tacky but classic and simple. He really utilized our gorgeous venue and it is so well incorporated in all of our pictures. He is a very talented photographer and we are so so so so satisfied with the pictures. Overall, I would definitely recommend doing the whole package deal with Whitecollection. It is like one stop shop and makes everything so much easier. I didn't have a planner so I was the one who planned everything. Without whitecollection, I would have never done this well. What a great value as well! My daughter was about 20 weeks pregnant when I first came to White Collection and by 33 weeks she delivered the baby. Jenny was very professional from start to finish. My brother use them for his wedding 3 years ago so I decided to give them a visit for my wedding and YES! They go by appointment only but during my appointments for close to 10 months of planning I was never interrupted and had the staff s full attention. i'm a dude. i don't know anything about this stuff. all i know is my wife really happy with this place. there is no way to better spend money than to reduce stress. go with these guys. jenny & joanne (especially joanne who we mainly worked with) were fantastic. i read through some of the other reviews. it's all 5 star reviews, and a few bad reviews from some bridezillas. ignore them. like their husbands probably do. there was one *misguided* review from a dude who was annoyed about not being shown some price list. you want a menu? this isn't Olive Garden, fool. these are professionals. through the whole ordeal (if you've had a wedding, you know ordeal is an understatement), these guys were a huge help. they coordinated with our vendors and our event location. they know things you can't possibly know if you do this on your own. there was one snafu with the tuxes, but who cares. no one gives a hootie & the blowfish about what the groom & groomsmen look like. there were lots of compliments about the wedding & bridesmaid dresses. gotta get that right. that's 90% of the game, right there. joanne knows her stuff. listen to her. take her recommendations. all of them she even gave us directions to our photo location that was better than gps (i know because we used gps). and she was invaluable at the day of the wedding. it would've been chaos if we were left to ourselves. read more

I booked an appointment here for a friend of mine. We were running a bit late and called to let them know but no one picked up. When we finally arrived (7 minutes late to be exact), she was still with her previous appointment and told us repeatedly that we were very late. Even if we arrived on time, she would have made us wait. The whole appointment felt rushed and 5 minutes into our appointment with Jenny, she refused to show us more than 3 dresses saying that we should come back another day. My friend was from out of town so she needed to buy a dress and that was the only day she had time. If I could, this place doesn't even deserve 1 star. She was rude throughout our entire appointment which must be max 30 minutes long because 15 minutes in, she kept rushing us and didn't even feel wanted anymore. I just needed to come and say how wonderful Jenny is! I was part of a wedding (as a bridesmaid) that Jenny planned and executed and was amazed at her work. She was so attentive to details while still having full control of the craziness of a wedding! From day 1, when I walked into her store to try on the bridesmaid dress, I fell in love with her! I was around 6 months preggers when I went to go try on dress with 2 more months to go till the wedding. She was so accommodating and told me that she wants to do another fitting for me closer to the wedding date bc 8 mos is when my body would change the most with the pregnancy. She was absolutely correct! I was so thankful that she took the extra time with me and understood how difficult (sizing-wise) it can be! When I returned for my 2nd fitting, I had to bring my 2 yo daughter with me... She was so understanding when my daughter was all over the place and actually played with her while she was fitting my dress- I'm telling you.. She is superwoman! Now, this is where it gets better. After that wedding, I was in another wedding few months later. I had to order my dress while I was preggers so when the dress came in, of course it didn't fit my post preggers body. I called around to see where I can get the dress fixed and everyone wanted to charge me basically the price of the dress to get it tailored. Then I remembered Jenny and gave her a call. She remembered me and told me not to worry and come in. I went to her bc I figured that even if she charges the same as the other people, at least I knew that she will do an awesome job, so I drove all the way to bayside from NJ to see her. She fixed my dress and told me not to worry about the money- bc I had to drive all the way from NJ to see her. Who does that???? How amazing is she????? But I don't want brides to come here for their most important day and end up feeling like crap and disappointed. I came here a few months back because of all the wonderful reviews. I have to say I'm not sure if I understand why... this place doesn't have a large collections of wedding dress. Everything seems to be very similar. Very beaded, puffy, and heavy. I was told they carry a certain designer. When I went there they don't even have one dress under that designer. They don't even know when they will get what I wanted to look at. When I told them the color, forget it! They told me that's not what most brides will wear. A lot of these reviews can mislead people like me to walk into this place thinking they will find something! They're RUDE and have BAD ATTITUDES. My bf went there to get a tux fitting for his friend's wedding. The lady called both my bf and the groom "big" and told them they needed to lose weight. And she was also giving a bad attitude about the pants sizes, pushing the tape measurements in his face to show him what size he is. My female friend had a bad experience there too, being rude and telling her that her opinion didnt matter. Seriously, noone should pay them to be treated like dirt. I have been lived in Flushing since when I was a little kid. Finally I am getting marry and I was thinking to go this place since I got engaged. From the outside it looked beautiful. So, I tried to make an appointment and i got a lady, who turned out the name is Jenny, on the phone. I wasn't happy about her phone attitude but I tried to give a shot. Finally I met her and realized that I didn't want to waste my time with her. She had a very very bad manor . Now I do understand why people write about her manor. I was recently married and I had planned my wedding with white collections for about 8 months. Because I got pregnant during my engagement, I had many issues where I had to pick 2nd dress because the initial one no longer fit. Their seamstress was so accommodating till the last week of the wedding, their vendors were wonderful! they have a strict appointment only policy but it turned out that i had their full attention during my session so I had no problem with it! Living in Manhattan where closet and storage space is at a premium, I had decided that I didn't want to buy a wedding dress that I would wear for one day and then pay to have it stored for the remainder of its existence so I decided to rent. Of course, I headed to Flushing, NY where most of the Korean owned wedding boutiques accommodate dress rentals. I visited 5 dress boutiques that day and White Collections really stood out with their spacious, elegant store and its owner, Jenny. Rather than having my MOH and I sort through racks of gowns, she consulted on what I was looking for and selected a group of dresses for me to try on. Jenny has excellent taste and I ended up going with the first gown that she recommended for me. The rental agreement covered alterations along with accessories (jewelry and veil) for the day of the wedding and I think it was the best deal that I made in my entire wedding planning process. Jenny had me come in for several fittings and made sure I was satisfied with the fit of the dress, despite it being a rental. She selected all of my accessories for me and gave me excellent advice on other details to my attire for the day of. She could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We were on a search for a slim-fit tux. It was harder to find than we thought! Driving down Northern Boulevard, we saw White Collections and decided to call for an appointment. I already purchased my dress elsewhere so it was supposed to be all about my fiance (now husband) but Jenny caught me ogling at the accessories and helped me pick out a veil and beautiful earrings. Jenny runs a beautiful store and elegance oozes out of this place. She's pretty busy during her late hours, so I recommend taking a day off and scheduling w/ multiple wedding vendors. (You'll get more attention this way and feel more relaxed while you're shopping and planning your wedding!) Right, back to the tux ... so we rented my husband's slim-fit tux with a shawl lapel. He looked amazing! Jenny was great to work with. These are the types of business people you need to work with when you prepare for your wedding.
