Benny getting ready for a lesson!

This wonderful hidden gem is an amazing ranch. The owners Tricia and Arik are wonderful caring people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. No drama at this Horsie facility! My trainer, Casey Zschach, is truly gifted. She is patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable. She shares her knowledge freely. If you are looking for a truly special place to ride, come to White Cloud Ranch! Train with Casey!

The rooms are quaint and clean, and they deliver fresh coffee and pastries to your door every morning in a leather pouch (which means my stomach and wife are ever so happy). The only complaint: they need more gourmet restaurant options on the grounds, and especially ones with a lounge that stay open late. Everything else is perfect. (I did twist my ankle playing pickleball, though...but I promise not to sue.) :D

Deeply Disappointing Experience After Reopening…read more My husband and I were excited to finally try the newly reopened restaurant at Campos Ranch, especially after it being members-only for several years. Unfortunately, booking a table here turned out to be a regrettable decision. Shortly after we were seated, a table of approximately ten children--ranging from toddlers to early elementary age--was placed nearby with no adult supervision at the table. Their parents were seated separately and appeared completely disengaged from what was happening. The result was nonstop chaos: children jumping on chairs, rolling on the floor, fighting at the table, and shouting throughout the dining room. At no point did any parent intervene. To be clear, this is not about children being present. It's about adults failing to manage their children in a shared public space--and, more importantly, about restaurant management allowing this behavior to continue unchecked. It showed a profound lack of consideration for the other guests who, like us, paid full price for what is supposed to be a quality dining experience. What made this especially frustrating was the complete absence of intervention from staff or management. Allowing one table to completely disrupt the dining room is disrespectful to every other guest. A restaurant--particularly one positioning itself as an elevated destination--has a responsibility to set and enforce basic standards of conduct. Overall, the evening left us feeling that courtesy, consideration, and basic dining-room etiquette were not priorities here. I strongly encourage management to rethink how situations like this are handled, because no guest should have their experience ruined by unchecked behavior at another table.

We made reservations to dine inside and the food was great. Big portions so we all had leftovers to take home. The service was great and the property feels like you're so far into the mountains. We had great music provided by local musicians, who play for tips so if you want to support them, bring cash! I would come again but this time dine outside and so I can sit under the trees and watch the beautiful peacocks. They have tons of outside seating. We had sourdough bread, broccoli salad, wine, brown ale, half chicken with salad and loaded bake potatoe, fish special, and bone in steak with salad and bake potatoes. We finished it off with mixed berry cobbler and chocolate lava cake. Delicious!

Get over the 28% gratuity, it's to provide a living wage. I recommend any of their smoked meats like the sandwich and BKT and if course the cinnamon rolls. The only drag here can be the motor cycles and sports cars who have the need to rev needlessly. This is the sole reason it's not 5 stars. This would be a great place for police to hang out on weekends to clean up the douchery to fund fire abatement. The rip down the streets and generally add an unpleasant experience, but the food trumps it. Great place despite the unpleasantness from the few.

When you drive up, it may look like the world is desolate and incomplete, but once you get behind the gate, you're placed into a gorgeous, rustic, Pinterest/Instagram worthy ambiance. Hors d'oeuvres were delicious with a great team making sure guests are fed, soused, and having fun! If you get the chance to attend or have a wedding here, I'd highly advise against getting the filet mignon. Cooking steaks en mass is difficult, my steak was over cooked. Poor cow who sacrificed his life. The chicken looks amazing though! Bartenders have heavy pours. You will have a ton of fun :)

From the beginning, we were given verbal assurances that the event would go until at least midnight. Based on that understanding, we planned our entire wedding timeline, music, and flow of the evening. However, on the actual night of the wedding, the staff abruptly shut down the music at 10:30 PM -- cutting the celebration short with no flexibility or consideration. When we tried to address this, they pointed to fine print buried deep within a long, 10-page contract -- something that was never clearly explained or emphasized beforehand. Instead of working with us or honoring what was discussed, they relied on technicalities to justify ending the night early. It felt misleading and unprofessional. A wedding venue should prioritize clear communication and delivering on expectations, not hiding behind small print after the fact. The way this was handled left us stressed and frustrated on a night that should have been joyful and memorable for the right reasons. I would strongly advise future couples to be extremely cautious, go over every single detail in writing, and not rely on verbal promises -- because our experience showed that those promises may not be honored.

The elk was cooked perfectly, but needed a more acidic sauce....though tasty, the sauce was a little too sweet, taking away from the elk flavor. The Bison short rib was amazing in this game trip, with the quail, again....cooked well, but not the best flavor. My filet was perfect, and I loved the contrast of the wasabi mashed potatoes. Oh, and sorry...that picture came out blurry. My mom's choice couldn't be made, so the manager and chef accommodated her by altering a dish to something she thoroughly enjoyed. Very cool of them. Our server was attentive, and our water and soda glasses were constantly refilled without being asked. Service was incredible. Definitely a once in awhile/special occasions type place for us normal people...but would happily return

For nearly $100 per person, rib steak that was sous vide to medium, then served nearly well done and completely undersalted is unacceptable for a restaurant asking for this much coin. The steak sandwich was completely reliant on the aoli sauce between the dry ciabatta bread, and again showcasing how underwhelming the steak was by being undersalted. One of our dishes was completely forgotten, and had to be followed up on. Surrounding tables had similar issues. Eggs benedict with smoked salmon was a hit The starter salads / french onion soup and desserts were tasty, with the banana / blueberry bread pudding and tres leches cake being the stars. Avoid this after-thought of a brunch if you can, stick to their dinner menu and enjoy the incredible ambiance that is Saddle Peak Lodge. What a disaster though! For $800, Fogo de Chao, Maestros, Flemmings, even a drive to Alexanders in Pasadena would of been memorable. Shoot, should of just gone to Lure for the 10,000th time, at least it would of offered the same boring consistency. Super disappointed in Saddle Peak Lodge, as my family and I come here 1-2 times a year for dinner. Sadly this experience sums up why their over-all Yelp score is 3.5 stars now, and I'm sadly adding fuel to the fire for what once was one of my favorite restaurants.
